winter redux
Friday, April 28, 2000

there's always a question as to when Spring actually arrives. The calendar says March 22nd, but that's not always the case. For the past couple of weeks, it's felt like Winter around central Pennsylvania: cold, rainy, occasional snow showers and howling winds. Of course, one could argue that the blurred line between late Winter and early Spring is in the eye of the beholder. I have no problem with the "extra moisture"; we're still 23" down over 3 years of drought. I'm an optimist and pessimist at the same time: warning people about putting out hardy perennials with still-tender leaves without "hardening them off" first under a sheltered overhang, but at the same time encouraging people to get out and play in the dirt; errr mud, right now. Do April showers really bring May flowers? Yeah, sure.

Around The Garden Center.
It rained all day Good Friday and into Saturday and Sunday, but that didn't stop the crowds from coming in. The semi-Spring like weather induced hundreds of people, off Friday for the Easter weekend, to come in a buy lots of trees, shrubs, perennials and Easter flowers. We were busier than one-armed paperhangers, despite the weather. I must have gone through three changes of jackets and caps, soaked by the rains.
I closed Easter Sunday, for the first time in 10 years. I needed the rest and slept in all morning. After driving the company's 5-ton Ford dump home Saturday — my '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 LTD died Saturday returning from a landscape consultation — I drove back down to the complex early Sunday afternoon to feed Pickles. That truck is a handful to drive. I'll be glad when the Jeep is repaired. Ah ha! The Jeep is repaired: dead fuel pump - replaced; broken motor mount - replaced; shift console bezel - replaced; 135k routine service. $734.
It's April 26th and only 44° F out there. I'm dismayed at the lack of Spring; looks like we'll just go right into Summer, at this point in time. The landscape crews are working in cold, rainy weather, also wondering if and when Spring will ever get here.
Unleaded 89 Octane gas has dropped to $1.43/ gallon around the York area. Just three weeks ago, it was at $1.63/ gallon and climbing. Simply amazing what an OPEC production increase can do in such a short time. Diesel fuel is still around $1.92/ gallon, and since the weather here is in the 40s and low 50s, people are still paying a small fortune to heat their homes, as are the commercial truckers hauling freight cross-country.

Done Deal.
I'm glad it's over, until the May 11th hearing and ruling.
Of course, the moron Cubans in Miami's cesspool, commonly known as "Little Havana" rioted and caused damage, kinda like the blacks did in the 70s when they burned their ghettos and businesses down. Not very smart. But smart enough to know that if they'd brought that shit into my neighborhood, I'd put bullets through all of their empty heads.
Somehow, Janet "Waco" Reno and Bill "First Liar" Clinton pulled it off without bloodshed. But the lib-dems can write off Florida's votes in November. Questions abound, as do with all Clintonista operations. They stink to High Heaven.
There wasn't a choice, given the facts. As much as I hate Castro&Clinton.com, the rule of law prevails. Or this Nation we call the USA, dies.
Was The Re-Union faked? Looks that way. The Clinton-lawyer-liar, Greg "Scum-f*cker Defender of Criminal Lowlife" Craig , denies it; says they're absolutely authentic. Typical dollar prostitute lawyer.
Castro is calling the shots; Clintoon is an idiot and so weak that he can't morally face-up to the murdering, commie son-of-a-bitch-lowlife Fidel-litto Castr-ate-o. Clintoon is slime, shit-scum filth.
Without a simple court order, the US Gummint acted illegally in snatching the 6-year old boy. But then, don't they always? Waco? Ruby Ridge? et al.
Lies, lies, lies. The Clintonista criminals lied big-time to America. Time to re-impeach the scumbag and his pimp-slut-alcoholic-dyke-dog Reno.
Any wonder what Cuba is really like these days? Read this.

Scumbags and Lowlife Filth.
Protesting the mayor of the safest city in the US, stinking lazy Haitians are comparing him to Hitler. It's amazing they're so stupid and ignorant — hey, that's why they're minorities — and don't realize that it's idiots and illegal aliens and white trash who commit the crimes and cause the trouble in the first place. Once all that trash and scum was removed from the streets, crime dropped 50%, even in their grimy neighborhoods. It'd sure be nice to rid the US of all those subhuman shit and welfare parasites.
I disagree: sex offenders and child molesters have no rights whatsoever and should be executed as quickly as possible. Molesting, raping or murdering children should merit immediate execution upon conviction; no one convicted of such a heinous offense should ever be allowed back into society, free to commit the same crime. The best place for such subhuman filth is the compost pile.
Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, the 1960s black militant piece of idiot shit formerly known as H. (C)Rap Brown, is now back in Atlanta to face murder charges. Personally, I wouldn't waste the trial; execute the criminal for past and current crimes and the world would be a much nicer place.
Our tax dollars at work? Paying a lousy US Postal Service so-called executive over $142,000 to move 10 miles and another employee over $105,000 to move 30 miles? No wonder the f*cking agency loses money every year; giving illegal perks to executives is out-f*cking-rageous. All the USPS's management should be replaced. Don't forget: President Bubba and his 1,000 person entourage spent $56,000,000 just to visit the shithole countries of India and Pakistan in February, giving the cesspool India a cool $1,000,000,000. Now that's a waste of our tax dollars.
Yep, this is my kind of justice.
So far, 2000 has been a lovely, wonderful year for executions, with the exception of the cowards in Illinois: Texas executed a murderer, so did California, and Missouri, and Alabama, and Tennessee, and Oklahoma. Read the articles and look at the liberal scum-f*ckers holding candlelight vigils and prayer sessions for the stinking, subhuman murdering filth. What about the victims? Who cries for them? Children, the elderly, cops et al, murdered but not mourned, by left wing wackos.
Reparations to blacks for the slave trade in the US in the 1700s and 1800s? Ummmm, I don't f*cking think so. How about the descendants of blacks in Africa who rounded up their own kind and sold them to white slave traders? Are they to pay reparations? I don't think so either. What a moronic idea. Lazy scumbags who want welfare and call it a "payback with interest". Hey idiots: get a job and earn your way in this world, like the rest of us do everyday. No more handouts.
