Although the oppressive, stifling, triple-digit heat's gone, the humidity's returned (92-95%), and with the lower-90°:F temps, it's once again, miserable outside. It hit 98°F yesterday, and the same is forecast for today. Yuk.
I've closed the GC&N Complex on Sundays now, until September 4th, and am enjoying the days off. (Hells bells, everyone except me is taking a week off here and there, darnit.) But on this past Sunday morning, I awoke at 3am to feed the cats and had excruciating middle left-side back pain, whereas for the previous 20 months, it had been on the lower right-side. Cold-paks didn't help, nor did Vicodin/ Hyrdocodone. It felt as though I had a ten-penny nail imbedded in my middle left back. Or took a hammer hit to a major muscle group. I went back to sleep until almost 12noon, and the pain was still with me when I went out to run some errands. Yikes, it was painful. Getting old(er), sucks.
I still had the searing pain on Monday morning, but went into the GC&N Complex, anyway, to open up and get things rolling. On top of the back pain, I was also feeling nauseous, so I packed-it-in for the day, and went home to medication, cold-paks and bed rest. I went back into work on Tuesday morning, still hurting, but less so.
