president Barack Obama's friend William Ayers famously said he was “guilty as sin, free as a bird” after his acquittal on charges related to the Weather Underground, the domestic terrorism group he co-founded. The unrepentant Ayers and Hillary Clinton have that veneer of Teflon in common.
Were her last name anything other than Clinton, Hillary would be indicted today. Actually, she would have been indicted long ago and sitting in prison today. But her last name is Clinton. As such, she's on the verge of becoming the nominee of the Democratic Party for president.

The Clintons always have been about one thing – the Clintons.
Although there is a certain degree of narcissism necessary to run for public office, and an even healthier dose required the higher up the power ladder one climbs, only the Kennedys rival the Clintons in their naked lust for power and thwarting of the law.
At least the Kennedys made their money first, then went into politics. Politics was a way to pass the time and “serve,” as much as narcissists serve anyone other than themselves. The Clintons, on the other hand, have used politics as a means to wealth and power.
That, in and of itself, should be enough to turn off voters or at least arouse suspicions. But the Clintons, like the Kennedys, have the media on their side and a circle of sycophants willing to blatantly lie to protect them.
In the case of the Kennedys, after the assassinations of John and Robert, that circle rolled into a legacy machine that renamed half the schools in the country after serial philanderers. President Kennedy was so brazen he reportedly carried on an affair with an East German spy. When you start blurring the law in one area, there is nothing stopping you from stepping over it in others.
If lying, treason and criminal behavior could fly, Hitlery Rotten Klintoon would be a jet.Unlike the Kennedys, power was never taken for granted by the Clintons. Politics was as much a pastime as a calling for the Kennedys – as it sometimes is for those who have so much money they don't have to work. The Clintons had to obtain theirs on both fronts.
Being a senator from a famous family is a much more visible path to walk than the corridors of power in Little Rock. The governor's office in Arkansas offers much more opportunity for corruption, especially when your interests stretch beyond simply accumulating women. It affords you, with little notice, the opportunity to turn $1,000 into $100,000 through cattle futures when normal people would've been required to invest $12,000 for that chance. It then allows for an unchallenged lie to explain it away.
From there…the White House, the Senate, the State Department, and a fortune. Then back to the White House?
Were Hillary anyone else, any of her schemes or scams would've landed her in prison. Were the media honest brokers interested in truth-seeking, they would've investigated the Clinton rabbit hole in the last century and spared us the national security breaches we're seeing today.
In a real and sane world, Hitley Rotten Klintoon was already be charged, arrested, tried, found guilty of multiple felonies, been sentenced and be serving multiple life sentences.That a serious candidate for president can be under FBI investigation for deliberately compromising national security and it barely rates a blip on the media's radar is a scandal. That there were emails on Hillary's server so top secret they would be “too damaging” to release is a testament to just how unsuited for leadership Hillary Clinton is.
The audacity of Clinton's campaign calling for the complete release of those emails, knowing they can't all be released and why, is unparalleled in politics and possible only when cloaked in the arrogance of assured journalistic cover. The word “disgrace” doesn't do it justice.
Were Hillary Clinton named anything other than Clinton, we never would've heard of her, and the country would be more secure country because of it. But because her name is Clinton, a woman whose arrogance led her to jeopardize our nation's secrets is a top prospect for the job that will give her access to all of them. And this story, by next week, will be brushed aside, memory holed, deep sixed.
Anyone else would be indicted by now for what she did, but Hillary Clinton will never face charges. No matter how bad what she did was, she will have to be defeated at the ballot box. Why? Because Hillary's last name is Clinton.

A Day In The Life
The recycle and garbage trucks' noise woke me at 8am, and the first thing I noticed was the {{{cold}}}. Bright and sunny outside, it was a nice start to the day. I grabbed the heavy Turkish robe, fired-up the furnace and computer, and got OJ and coffee underway. AccuWeather had temps at -9°F, Weather Channel at -4°F, and local WGAL-8 at 0°F. I didn't see any ***COLD WARNING*** posted anywhere; maybe I mmissed it last night. Fricking, fracking, fudgecicle cold, by any measure. I streamed the news/weather on WSBA, here in York. Bitter cold, snow squalls and another ice/snowstorm over the weekend and even into next week. Hey, Winter's here. The stock market's going nuts with futures
By 6, the news and weather was on CATV, and it started snowing as storms moved north and others moved east. With just over 2", it's no emergency, but it'll be dicey since temps won't get out of the 10-15°F range for 3-4 days. And a new storm is due in on Monday, with a forecast 4-6". Swell. I watched Discovery's Alaska Gold Rush and Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, until 1:15am, and packed it in for the night. Lights out.
I was up at 8am like a rocket, on Saturday morning, to 3°F and a sunny day. A fresh 2" snow coating was everywhere, and it looked nice. Heat, OJ, coffee, and oatmeal hit the spot. Scanning the news and weather sites, nothing was unusual except for the very bitter cold coming tonite and over the weekend, and then another ice-snowstorm Monday night into Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday. I replayed the week's Chris Plante Show Podcasts 2/8 - 2/12, since I'd missed several, worked on income tax paperwork to get ready for my and Dad's CPA meeting, possibly next week. After a Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup for lunch, I went back to the paperwork, switched-on the news and heard that SCOTUS Justice Scalia died overnight, in Texas, at a vacation ranch. RIP, Mr Scalia. The US' future is indeed now in serious danger as 0sambo boy will appoint another radical left-wing socialist to the empty seat, and Armageddon will soon follow. High for the day was 17°F , with a very stiff windchill of -21°F.
Wow, it sure didn't take long for the murder and conspiracy theories on YouTube and Connservative Forums about Scalia, to come out; there are hundreds out on the Net. Thousands of heads are exploding, every minute with all those wacky theories.
By 6pm, the evening news was on, and I took a break from the paperwork. A NSCAR Sprint Cup Race was on, from the Daytona Int'l Speedway, so I watched for a while, then switched over to the 9th Republican Debate, in South Carolina, until almost 12, when the "after debate analysis" finished. It was a truly lousy circlefest of yelling, personal attacks, accusations, more bullshit, childish behavior and crap. What a waste of time. I shut down, armed the place and hit the sack at 12:15am.
The cold woke me at 8:15 on Sunday morning: -5°F outside and 61°F inside. I forgot to turn-on the electric blanket, last night. Duh. Anyway, I grabbed my Turkish Bathrobe and sweat pants, fired-up the furnance to 77°F and tried to stay warm until the condo began to heat up. I had a bowl of Del Monte® Red Grapefruit Sections, lots of dbl-strength Turkish coffee, Soft-Boiled Eggs w/ Toast in a bowl, and more coffee. Weather and news weren't good: more ice and snow on the way, and posted ***WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY*** on all local and regional stations/websites. Looks like a nasty ice storm. If it is ice, I'll be staying off the roads until well after it's over. I don't mind driving on snow, but ice is suicide. I have 2 meetings tomorrow, rescheduled from last week, that I might have to reschedule, if it gets bad.
I had condo chores and laundry to get done, some income tax paperwork to work on, and after a BLT w/ Fried Egg & Fries, did those until 6:30pm. I watched the evening news and weather, and then switched over to NatGeoTV for some 'earth history specials' they had on until around 12 midnight. Lights out.
No such cold condo problems on Monday, as I got up at 8:30am, to a nice 26°F and light snow. I'd left the heat set at 72°F, so it much have run all night. That quickly changed into freezing rain and more snow, and everything was coated. Just for a comparison point, last night it was -114°F on Whiteface Mtn, at the local NY state ski resort. I fired-up the furnace, made the requisite OJ, coffee, Eggs Benedict, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Artichokes & Hash Browns, and checked the weather and news. At 8:30, I called my two app'ts and left messages to reschedule them to later in the week, as I also have a dr's app't on Friday. Compared to the morning forecast, what actually ocurred was far worse than expected, for a lot of people on the East Coast. It was Presidents' Day Holiday for federal workers, banks, schools etc, and many, many people just stayed home due to the weather.
I streamed the live Chris Plante Show, 9-12 ET on WMAL/DC, and was staying put for the day, due to the ice and freezing temps. It wouldn't be melting anytime soon, so there was no chance to go out safely. Snow, snow and snow all day long, plus freezing rain and more ice. I worked on the last few piles on income tax paperwork, planning to get it finished-up by weekend, and then sit down with Dad to review his paperwork for our CPA, in nearby Dallastown. By 6pm, it was all ice, and trees limbs were creaking and groaning under the weight. I watched the evening news and weather reports; it kept getting worse. Temps were rising as the evening went on, and the freezing rain and snow changed-over to all rain, by 10:30 or thereabouts. A ***WINTER STORM WARNING*** was now posted on the local channels and websites. Discovery had a Fast 'N Loud marathon on, with several new episodes, so I watched until 11, and pulled the plug for the night.
Up at 7am on Tuesday, I heard the freezing rain on the skylights, and knew it was going to be another lousy travel day. Everything, from hard surfaces to trees and power wires, was iced-up. I had a bowl of Del Monte® Red Grapefruit Sections, coffee and Eggs Benedict Florentine w/ Home Fries, streamed the weather and news. I decided to stay inside and get the taxes done, since driving on ice was out of the question. The accident reports in Lancaster, York and Adams Counties were mounting, and I didn't want to be counted among them. As usual, I streamed the live Chris Plante Show, 9-12 ET on WMAL/DC, while gathering and printing-off many IRS form and pages of financial data for the upcoming CPA meeting. Keith's been my corporate and personal CPA for 15+ years, as with Dad and now Becky, so we – and all his clients – get very detailed questionaires and certain forms to fill-out each year to give him and his staff a more precise picture of what we do, and to streamline the whole process, thereby saving preparation costs.
I called Dad around 10:30am, and he was iced-in, too, and just finishing-up his tazes, for the upcoming meeting. By 12 noon, temps had risen into the lower-40s, but the freezing rain continued and got very heavy. A ***FLOOD WARNING*** quickly replaced the storm warnings, due to rapid snow melt and heavy rain. I had a Chicken Salad Sandwich on Croissant w/ Chips and a bowl of Lentil & Vegetable Soup, for a late lunch.
By 4:30pm, I had my trusty old 2009 HP DeskJet D-1660 Printer ($72) working again, after cleaning the paper intake rollers, and using compressed air to clean-out the insides, so I could print-out the financial document from my Financiaql Management Company. By 6:30, the paper stack was finally completed and I watched the evening news and weather reports. Tomorrow thru Saturday would be nice better. By 8, Discovery's The Killing Fields was on, and I stayed with it until 12 midnight. Time for some sleep, and I closed out for the night.
Awake and up at 7:30 on Wednesday morning, it was a comparatively 'balmy' 33°F and the sun was peeking thru. Heat, OJ, coffee and Cream of Wheat w/ Keller's Butter and Rye toast. I checked the news and weather, and while I'll get to my rescheduled app'ts this week. But next week may get real messy, with another "disruptive Ice/snow storm" coming thru. I've got a Monday CPA appt w/ Dad, Tuesday a Jeep inspection and oil service – they're still trying to locate a slate color leather, power driver's seat – plus have lunch with a special lady friend I haven't seen in too long, and get caught-up on life.
I left for Dad's at 9:30 to drop-off some thing I had for him, and get copies made of a few tax documents. Plus one of his banks just merged, and the new website s online banking was all screwed-up. I spent 45 mins on hold waiting for tech help, got cut off and when I tried again, the call volume was so heavy that the IT Dept wasn't accepting any more calls for the day. WTH; I'll try again tomorrow. I had stops to make on my way home and got back by 2pm. After a Mushroon Cheddar Burger and a bowl of 2-Alarm Chili, I was checking news when the doorbell range, and it was a neighbor with a flat tire. He'd removed it from his wife's car, and needed a ride to a tire store to get it repaired. I took him down to South York's GoodYear dealer, and after it was plugged and tubed, gave him a ride back. His FIL was there to help with reinstalling it.
Gas and diesel prices at the pump, have changed slightly since Monday, February 8th: Unleaded Regular (87 oct) is down 10¢ to $1.83/gal, Unleaded Premium (89 oct) is steady at $2.03/gal, Premium (93 oct) is still at $2.13/gal, and Diesel Fuel/Kerosene K-2 is also still at $2.23/gal. Yawn.
By 6, the evening news was on, and the weather forecast began to look bad for early/mid next week. Crap. I switched over to two new episodes of Big Fish Texas, and then to American Pickers until 12:30am. Lights out.
Thursday started out at 23°F and sunny, and I was up at 7am. I made the requisite juice and coffee, checked the day's to-do list, news and weather sites, and did some condo chores until time to leave for the 11am meeting with my two investment friends. I left at 10:30 for Lancaster. They want to get back into buying/selling pre-1940 motorcycles and 1950-60 muscle cars and hot rods; I don't. The market is fully-saturated with that stuff, as the number of "real finds" is up, and the number of "real buyers" is down. The economy still sucks, and the resale market is weak. The numbers just don't add-up to profit = effort + cost, expended. We had a nice, long 2½-hour lunch, worked our 3 laptops doing product cost searches, parts & repairs analyses, auction and public sale results, and I was right: the numbers don't work, right now. We've got to find "someting else to do". We adjourned with intent to meet again in 2 weeks, after each does research into some new areas of opportunity.
I had some stops to make in East York, and when I got to my bank, ran into an former customer and his wife, who'd been on my "high end" list. After I did my buiness there, we had a good, long catch-up chat on what we'ds each been up to, and in the course of discussion, I mentioned my previous firearms collections' business, and that now I was looking at certain motorcycles, muscle cats and hot rods. Viola! That struck a nerve, as he was doing similar things and was looking for partners. I told him I'd get back to him, after talking with my two guys. Frankly, I don't want to get someone else in the mix, unless he's got something special to bring to the table.
Back home by 5pm, I unpacked the Jeep, put stuff away, caught the evening news and watched a Rusted Development marathon on Discovery, until 12 midnight. Sack time.
Tomorrow starts a new week here in the "Journal", and after a morning app't with my PCP (primary care physician) of 26 years, I have a short trip to southern York County to take care of some business. For next week, I've got a Monday CPA appt w/ Dad, Tuesday a Jeep inspection and oil service – they're still trying to locate a slate color leather, power driver's seat – and if we don't get too bad a snowstorm, have lunch with a special lady friend I haven't seen in much too long, and get caught-up on things. At least I'm semi-caught-up on rescheduled things from last week's ice/snowstorm.
Conundrum.
The very definition of the word conundrum is "something that is puzzling or confusing". Here are six conundrums today, in the US:
1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
Think about it. That pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st century. Kind of makes you wonder who is doing the math.
These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment:
1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...
2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't. Think about it. And last but not least...
3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to all illegal aliens?

The Middle East is rapidly-collapsing under the subhuman, murderous muslim/islamic riots (muslim Brotherhood) and rule ("arab Spring"), with world crude oil prices projected to hit $200+/bbl, or even higher into the $300-$400 range,

"Last week, President Barack Obama delivered some telling remarks to a fire station full of people in Roanoke, Virginia. I'll save you the trouble of reading the (long and uninspired) speech and provide you with the most interesting part:
"If you've got a business – you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." – President Barack Obama, July 13th, 2012.
It would be easy to respond with something along the lines of, "Somebody else made that happen? Who? Who magically imagined the product or service, started the business, built it up, and created the jobs? Who was it? The tooth fairy?" And to some extent, President Obama's statement is so ridiculous as to merit that sort of quick, flippant response.

However, he's not entirely wrong. This reminds me of an argument that Massachusetts Senate Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren would probably make. If he's talking about a mid-sized or large business, where an entrepreneur has hired additional employees, then at that point the business's success isn't purely that of its founder.
Employees add value to a business through work and ideas. That's why you hire employees, after all. Steve Jobs didn't invent every last detail of the phones, computers, and tablets to come out of Apple over the last decade. There were engineers working on those products who developed them. So, employees help entrepreneurs to build their business. "Somebody else" did indeed play a part in making that happen.
But what makes the president's remarks so inane is the totality of what he's saying. He's not saying that entrepreneurs and employees work together to build a business. It's not a collaborative effort. It's all thanks to the employees. Usually, I can understand the way the president's mind works on most issues by examining it through a pragmatic, liberal, or progressive framework. This one baffles me.
As I explained, I can see that he has some of a point, but he's still just obviously wrong on the broader point. Sure, the employees help to build the business, but the business itself wouldn't exist without the entrepreneur. So, to say to entrepreneurs and to business owners, "...you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen," is just wrong. It's silly. They did build that by setting the foundation for the business.
Entrepreneurs are almost always the hardest workers in their business. They work a simply insane number of hours to get their idea off the ground. If they succeed (and they face a tremendous risk if they don't), then they'll start to grow and to hire employees to help. Honestly, if I were an entrepreneur and I read those remarks by the president, I would be furious. It's a tremendous insult to the true job-creators in America, entrepreneurs.
In the context of a long, somewhat rambling campaign speech that touched on every issue under the sun, it may seem as though I'm over-exaggerating the importance of a minor thing he said. But President Obama isn't a stupid man, or even one who makes off-the-cuff remarks he doesn't really mean. He's a very smart man, and he meant what he said.
When the most important issues for most Americans are economic growth and job creation, I believe it's essential to know exactly where both candidates stand on the importance of entrepreneurs.
