The corrupt White House and criminal US Congress are moving so fast on *millions/billions/trillions* in new, UNREAD-BY-CONGRESS legislation, that it's beyond merely "dizzying"; it's really a red pill vs blue pill choice. Truth or unending fantasy? Reality or continued lies?

They own the banking industry (2008). They own the airline industry (after 9-11). They own the automobile industry (2009). They own the public schools (1960s onward). They own the investment banking industry (2009). They've owned much of the health care industry — Medicare and Medicaid —, and have screwed that up unbelievably. They will soon own all of the health care industry (2009). They've just passed a law that all student loans will be made through the US Government; not from any private sources. And that's coupled with 10 years 'servitude' in the corrupt, criminal ACORN-approved group, such as AmeriCorps, for debt forgiveness, instead of 10 years of market-based interest payments.
Not only will they own all of our childrens' presents and futures, they already own the re-written curricula and history that all of those innocent children have, are and will read, about America's History. What I learned in the 50s & 60s schools, ISN'T what's being taught as fact and truth, these days and decades. It's statist, socialist, communist, anti-America, anti-US Military and anti-everything you and I know to be The Truth.
I'm going to try to keep my head in-balance, while all those around me are losing theirs. Join me, please.
In the 50s & 60s, exposed as the lowlife, dirtbag, subversive, anti-America filth they were, when the US Communist Party 'dissipated' and went 'underground' to legitimately form "Green Peace", "Nature Conservancy", "Sierra Club", "Acorn", "Green Peace" and a hundred other "Eco-Friendly" groups, they gained stature and structure through millions and billions in funding. Thousands of slimy atty's came out from the festering-sewers they'd be relegated to through The Pro-American McCarthy Hearings, and legitimized themselves and those organizations. Now, they have stature and standing in the courts, and can influence US Society in many ways, to America's detriment and demise.
Personally, I'd stand all of them up against a stone wall, and summarily execute them all. Subhuman, anti-American, hate-US Military filth, deserve such summary treatment, IMO. I'd do it N/C to my Fellow US Taxpayers, BTW.

Housing starts surging 3.6% from May to June? That's potentially good news for me and my business, but I wonder if we'll see it sustained and if we'll see it around this area? I suspect both answers are "no".
Friday was both payday for my employees, and another stinker of a hot, humid day in the upper-80s. These are the Dog Days of Summer, afterall, and they'll continue into mid-August. Already, my employees are scheduling 3-5 day vacations for themselves. I got payroll done and began work on 2 remaining lscp estimates. I had to cancel the regular 3pm Key Staff Mtg, due to customers coming by to discuss a pending $35,000+ hardscape job. Rain moved through the area and soaked us while we were in the Nursery, and the ugly HICPA Law has reared its Medusa-like Head, once again, in interpretation of the "Law vs Intent". (sigh) We'll work it out, somehow. T-storms rumbled through the area late Friday afternoon and evening, dropping only about 2/10" of much-needed rainfall; just enough to wet the mulch, refresh the parched grass, and not much more.
Saturday was a very comfortable day, but retail traffic was sparse as usual, for July. It'll be the same way for August, as some of our customers take their usual July/August vacations — or in these economic time, "stay-cations at home" — and just do little or nothing, especially if their jobs are as tenuous as many seem to be. So be it.
I slept-in Sunday until almost 11am, made a 5-high stack of French Toast, gourmet 100% Kona ($85/lb) coffee (in turkish grind), fed the cats, checked my food shopping list, and headed-off to Weis Market in East York. I stopped by Mom & Dad's for around an hour, to visit, since I'd missed dinner with them the previous Sunday. The new BP Rx meds are kicking my butt, but I'll adjust to them in a short while.
Monday was another "Groundhog Day". I worked on one, 2-phase, LSCP Estimate & accompanying HICPA Contracts; normally, it would have only taken me >45mins for the LSCP Estimates, but with the added contracts, it took nearly 2½ hours. Sigh; I'll get better and faster at it, with some more practice. Probably.
Exactly 40 years ago on Monday evening — 7/20/69 — home from college for the summer, before heading off to Woodstock I was sitting in my parent's home, in Convent Station (NJ) watching Apollo 11 land on the moon. Next to JFK's assassination and funeral, it was the biggest TV event in world history. Some ignorant assholes still believe it was faked, on a set in Arizona. Un-fricking-believable, isn't it?.
On Tuesday, I worked on several new LSCP Estimates, in conjunction with the new, hated-by-me HICPA Contracts, and decided to have a meeting with both James & Seth, to review and clarify how we, as a company, do these contracts in concert with my usual Preliminary LSCP Estimates. Seth had already questioned the Law vs Intent, and James also needed some clarification, as he prepares all the data and specs I use to put together a customer's estimate. We set the meeting for Wednesday at 8am.
The Wednesday morning meeting was much-needed, aired-out a lot of questions about procedures etc, and gave all three of us a better idea of what the Landscape Estimates & Hardscape Contracts should contain. I worked on two new estimates, but deferred them until Friday, since I was going to take Thursday off. But the more I thought about it: Dad at 85, Jennifer & 15-yr old Matt both useless to load large plants/trees, mulch or soil; all of a sudden at 8pm Wednesday, I almost decided to come back in on Thursday, to "handle things", if need be. I asked reliable Seth to cover for me, and he did. (((sigh))) DAMMIT! Two damned days-off in a week just isn't possible. I'm never hiring a 15-yr old kid to help Jennifer again; either he can operate machinery and stay until 5pm to help Dad close-up the GC Complex, or I'll do without him. Memo to self for 2010.
I took Thursday off, slept-in until 11am, did some errands and shopping, and came home around 2pm, to get some chores done around the condo. It was 87°F with 77% humidity, after the heavy downpours, so I worked inside.

Home Invasions On The Increase.
Three home invasions in one week, in York County? • Just after 1 a.m. Thursday in the first block of North Tremont Street in York, 42-year-old man Ronald Lee Simmons Jr. was shot and killed in a break-in; • Just after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, three men forced their way into a home in the 1300 block of South Queen Street in Spring Garden Township as a woman, her daughter and two granddaughters slept inside. A 42-year-old man, who was not identified, was taken to York Hospital after being stabbed. A shot was fired, but no one was hit; • About 4:30 p.m. Monday, three men forced their way into a home in the 200 block of Church Street in Glen Rock and removed property as a mother and her 7-month-old baby were inside.

We didn't cause the recent Global Warming and we cannot stop it. Solar Activity appears to be the principal driver for Climate Change. Many Journal entries are best viewed in the Charrington Roughened and the Orlando typefaces. You may already have Century Gothic on your Windows-XP machine, and that's almost always used for the body copy or subheads, so grab it, if you don't already have it; you're reading it now. They're free from my website. Grab 'em! Save them to your HD, and install to C:/Windows/Fonts (folder), thru your WIN XP Control Panel > Fonts > File > Install New Font. Simple stuff; just takes a few minutes.
Here are a few others, which have been used in my Journal: Papyrus and Acoustic Bass, and Caesar Regular and Carleton and Charrington Strewn and Catherine. If you get and install them, you'll see how much nicer these pages are to view and read. Plus, they add to your repertoire of available fonts in MS-Word, as WIN-XP System Fonts, so you can use them for your daily documents.

A jury has convicted an imprisoned sex offender of murder in the 1975 strangulation death of a Girl Scout in Tennessee. Nine-year-old Marcia Trimble disappeared while delivering Girl Scout cookies in her Nashville neighborhood, and her body was found near her home 33 days later. A jury on Saturday convicted 62-year-old Jerome Barrett of two counts of second-degree murder. He faces 44 years in prison on each count in this case. Barrett is currently serving a life sentence for the 1975 rape and murder of a Vanderbilt University student. Kill the filth!

It. Is?"). Leo obligingly swallows the red pill and embarks on a tour of corporate agriculture's dark side. If you choose not to take the pill, or even if you take it and disagree with what Moopheus has to say, the site is nonetheless worth checking out, if only as a lively, witty, and sharp example of the Web used well.
