I get so friggin' sick of the hand-wringing, bed wetting, whining liberal-democRATs telling everyone that the death penalty doesn't work, and should be abolished. It works just fine when it's applied frequently, and that's the whole problem why it doesn't work at all, anymore: it isn't applied promptly because of endless years of bogus appeals by stinking lawyers. There is zero recividism — not repeating the same heinous crime, for those readers from Palm Beach County, Flori-duh — when murderers, rapists, child molesters, terrorists and traitors, are executed. None, nada, zip. Society is then cleansed of a piece of subhuman, lowlife filth; no more crimes against innocents for that murderous criminal. All of this should be widely televised on CATV and Network, for the benefit of the general populace. Seeing executions carried-out on The Justice Channel (TJC), would be hugely beneficial for all involved. Appeals should be limited to one year; no exceptions. Rehabilitation, scream the socialists and liberal garbage. BS; the recividism rate is 95% or higher. And more innocents die during that fatally-flawed process, as murderers are parolled and released back into society. Not only is an armed society a polite society, but a society which quickly executes the subhumans who prey upon innocents, is a quality society where fear and terror are minimized, or eliminated completely. Last Friday was a wonderfully warm and sunny day, as compared to the cool, cloudy and rainy weather we've had for the past 6-8 weeks, or since Spring arrived. On Saturday, some heavy-duty thunderstorms rolled through the Mid-Atlantic Region, doing minor damage with fierce winds and over 2" of rain, in a Nor'easter-like storm system. It wasn't as bad here, as that which happened to the Midwest, though. Sunday was also a rainy day, so I slept-in 'til 10:30am, before going to work at noon. Nice start to the day and coming week.
This week, I picked-up a Beowulf™ .50cal AR-style, made by Alexander Arms Co, from my local armorer, Freedom Armory, in Shrewsbury (PA). And I got another 1,000rnds of .223cal ammo for my 2 AR-15s, via the Net. My weapons and ammo runneth over. Dang, I've got so many guns around here, it's time to begin looking for a gun safe.
It feels as though I'm hitting a "plateau" with The Atkins' Diet now; from last week's 207lbs to only 202lbs, this week. Of course I did have Jeff & Denise over for dinner and I slipped a little on the carbs: pasta, bread and dessert, along with filet mignon and salad. I souldn't have done the first three; the rest are okay. Gotta get down to 175-180lbs in another 4 weeks.
My personal boycott of all things French, German, Canadian, Belgian (doesn't export anything I'd use...), Turkish (doesn't export anything I'd use...), Heinz Co and Procter & Gamble Co, is going very well. I've found substitutes for everything I've used over the years, so I'm not wanting for anything, so far. And many of my customers have cancelled trips abroad, and are spending those dollars here at home. Are you doing your part? I'm loving "payback time".
Okay, so I'm sitting at my desk on Monday morning, sewing several assons back on to a couple of shirts, and my landscape foreman and his two crew chiefs come in to review a large pending landscape job; they had a good laugh, as did several of my maintenance and office staff. Tying that tiny knot at the end of the double-thread, is the worst part, followed by trying to thread the danged needle. I didn't stick myself this time, as I've done everytime prior, and got little red (blood) dots all over the place. My fingers are too big for the enclosed thimbles.

No complaints though, as the past 5 years of gut-wrenching drought have taught me to take Nature's blessings when they're offered, and not to complain.
