where’s the conservative/libertarian organized opposition to anything? The cultural marxists, as Rahm Emanuel would say, “never let a crisis go to waste,” while the opposition sits idly by with their thumbs up their asses. The Left responds almost immediately to any catalytic event, especially tragedy.

(Actual title: Where are the Sons of Liberty When We Need Them?)

The Left is proactive, always stirring up trouble, several steps ahead of the opposition. They exploit every issue, every weakness. They leave no stones unturned. The conservative opposition is reactive at best, but invisible and limp most of the time.

The conservative/libertarian opposition is meek, timid, disorganized and uncoordinated; they are always left holding the bag. They’re all hat and no cattle; they talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk. They are winning the battle of words, but all but absent from the battle of the streets.

Within minutes of the Parkland tragedy, the Left was fully mobilized to attack President Trump, the GOP, and the 2nd Amendment. They recruited politically ignorant, naive, and pre-brainwashed student-survivors as political props and stooges, ready to do their bidding. Where was the conservative counterpart to David Hogg ? How much airtime would David Hogg be getting if he were a zealous supporter of the Second Amendment ?

The Left is milking the sorrow of the victims’ families to advance their sick statist agenda. Where is the conservative opposition pointing this out? Likely in their gamerooms. They are too polite, too gentlemanly, too nice, to defend liberty or win the day. The Left plays to win, by any means.

No matter the issue, the conservative/libertarian opposition moves like a sloth, or not a all. And if there is no issue, the Left makes one up. Conservatives are never proactive. A week ago or so the Left launched a short-lived phony campaign to impeach Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. I cannot recall any opposition campaign to oust the marxist Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Let’s take conservative/libertarian speakers on college campuses who are ruthlessly silenced by Campus Snowflakes and their well-heeled financial backers. I guarantee you, Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty would have responded to these people in an ugly way. Fearlessly and efficiently. They didn’t concern themselves with PC or being rounded up by their British occupiers.

So, where are today’s Sons of Liberty? Unfortunately, nowhere to be found. At every turn, they allow the Left to run roughshod over them while they sit in front of their warm fireplaces posting pithy commentaries to FreeRepublic. I admit, I’m a fully-credentialed member of the Pajamas Media. But I’m far too old to organize a counter-revolution.

The pen is mightier than the sword, so they say, but the Founders, especially Samuel Adams, deftly combined both to win the day. And they all had real day jobs. The Sons of Liberty tarred and feathered their opponents and marched them to the town square in their birthday suits. Imagine today’s Pajama Boy libertarians having the stones to do that.

The Sons of Liberty were among our earliest community organizers. To be fair, many of today’s conservative/libertarians just don’t have the time to be community organizers. A community organizer is just a nice sounding term for someone who isn’t gainfully employed. In addition to being employed, conservatives are far more likely to be married, have children, own a home, and be responsible and functional. The cultural marxists and their unwitting dupes are on an eight-year tour of duty at a college or university on the taxpayers’ dime, living at home with mom and dad, playing video games, and/or bussing tables.

Nevertheless, the conservative/libertarians are virtually invisible and silent when it comes to speedy organized action. Oh sure, a few turn up to heckle to Nancy Pelosi or some congressman at the townhall gathering. But by and large, unlike their ideological opponents, they refrain from organized action, preferring to stay at home and deferring mobilized action their opponents.

It takes far more than election victories or well-written editorials to win and maintain power. You cannot win playing defense. You must control the ball and win by whatever means necessary. As Thomas Jefferson said, “The Tree of Liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of tyrants and patriots.”

A Day In The Life.

I managed to sleep until 7:30a on Friday, had coffee and an English Muffin, and headed out around 10 to get estimates from 2 body shops for a scrape on my new Jeep's R/F quarter panel. They ranged from $900-$2,000 and I'll be paying for it. Becky called around 12, and told me about some boxes of ammo and .22LR cleaning kits still at Dad's house, so I went over to fetch them and put them into the gun safe, with my old, but very pristine 1958 Mossberg 144-LS and .38cal Special. Karen, one of Dad's, Becky's and my cleaning ladies, was there helping Becky clean-out Dad's place, before he moves into a new condo, next door to Becky. We had Karen's homemade sauerkraut and Ballpark Franks; both delicious. I left at 2p, and stopped at another body shop, and then home. Listening to Talk Radio and working on the computer until 11p, I called it a day.

I don't know why I "feel guilty" if I sleep-in until 9-10-11a. But I sometimes do. My world's day is shorter by half, and some early-in-the-day things just never get done. But I slept-in until 9 on Saturday – Happy St Paddy's Day! – made coffee, skipped breakfast, scanned the weather and news, and went out to get some things done. Looks like we're going to be getting our 4th Nor'Easter, according to the "European Model" forecast, the most accurate and reliable computer modeling program available.

No, I didn't even try to get near the parade route on Market St and into West York; by all accounts it was a traffic nightmare Afterward, I stopped at Dad's and helped Becky move heavy file boxes, and get ready for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? guys to arrive between 12-2p. I was amazed at how much stuff 2 guys could load into one of those trucks, for just $598. They manhandled some very heavy items and would have to make 2 trips to the temporary drop-off point.

When I tired out after a few hours, I left and stopped at Rite Aid to p/u 2 Rxs they'd called about. I came home, and had 2 tacos for lunch and laid down to get some rest. I watched some CATV, did some chores and ordered new stuff for the condo, from Wayfair. I rolled-up the computer around 10:15p, and called it 'Yankee Doodle'.

By 10:30p, there was a marked rise in the pain – 8.5 on a 10 scale – and its intensity, and I couldn't sleep in any position. Damn! I got back-up and went downstairs to get some 83mg, coated baby aspirin, and a 20mg Oxycodone. After 35-40mins, no relief, so I took another, and a 2mg Lorezepam (#1), along with 1 of my usual 12.5 Zolpidem CR (#1.5). I put some warm clothes back on, turned-up the heat, prepped the leather recliner chair and ottoman with some pillows, along with the LR couch as a back-up or substitute primary. Laying down was out-of-the-question; much too painful in any position for the pressure on my internals.

The pain was centered in the L/S back, about 4" above belt line, and it was slowly moving clockwise to L/S, toward the belly, which means a full-blown, severe, intense Pancreatic attack, something I'd hoped to avoid, especially over night. I took another 20mg Oxycodone (#3), another 83mg baby aspirin (#4), and slowly settled into the leather recliner for the night, at 2:45a. I fell asleep in the recliner until 6a, and then stumbled over to the made-up LR couch, and slept until 9:30a.

As with everything in this universe, a time arrives when it is finally done and over.

After coffee, a shave and a shower, I went over to Dad's to help Becky and Karen with doing some moving of stuff, letting them take care of the cleaning. Karen had finished-up and left, and Becky was quitting for the day. Hell bells, at least I got to see Dad. On the way home, I stopped at Sherry's, dropped-off a small package of 'Pink Peeps', only to learn from Sherry's phone call that her beautiful and elegant Mother had passed a dew days ago, and that Sherry had to take care of all arrangements for her and the small funeral contingent, just as I did when my Mom passed on May 4, 2012, but with a much larger group (35) of people. RIP, Ma'am.

I closed down early Sunday night, after noticing that another Nor'easter was coming-up the coast, Tuesday and Wednesday, and was now forecasted to drop between 1-4", which again won't last long. By 11p, I was sawing logs.

I slept-in until 7a Monday, a nice 11hrs, before realizing that it was a new week and I had a load of errands to get done. Dad's, Becky's and my appointment with our CPA is tomorrow, and I'll get further bad news about how much PA will take from me on the sale of my business property of 23yrs. Taxed to the hilt, by state and feds, for all those years, and then when I finally sell it, taxed to near death. What a deal! After coffee and an English Muffin, I grabbed a can of Starbuck's Ready-To-Drink Coffee and set-out to get at least half done.

I stopped by Dad's and Becky was there, busting her butt cleaning and bagging-up stuff no longer needed or wanted. I'll be back there on Saturday, going thru 16-18 boxes of GC&N business files, determining which ones to hold on to, until the IRS isn't interested anymore; 7yrs for business, 4yrs for personal. All of my personal IRS files are in my basement, in file boxes and on shelves. I'll go thru them next Winter and begin to shred the old stuff, before I discard them. I had several WellSpan Medical bills from 2017, totalling $830.67, with over $374,500 already paid by MediCare and Geisinger Gold.

After getting home around 5:30p, I made some seafood salad, and tuned-in The Mark Levin Show and then The John Batchelor Show, until 11:45p. Lights out.

As I was shaving on Sunday, I looked in the BR's mirror, and saw the 39yr old I was, when I general contracted, built, opened the GC&N and moved here. Not a care in the world, embarking on a new and exciting venture that was all mine, and many, many decades of good health and times, ahead. On the other side, I saw myself, almost 30yrs older, beset and plagued by health problems, fighting my rapid advance into the beginnings of old age, occasionally being with a woman I loved but cannot have due to her situation, keeping depression at bay, and on and on and on. Fighting the inevitable advance and destructive tendency of old age, is futile. Family is dying-off, as are friends, their families, and there's nothing which can be done, except go on the ride, as elegantly, thoughtfully and carefully as possible. Once, I thought it all would last forever; only childish wishfulness. Life comes and goes.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW! What a freaking nightmare/dream! I've never had one close to that, at 12:06a, only having been on the LR sofa for >55mins. A glass of water, walk ar4ound the condo 1st floor, and back to sleep on the LR couch, which unfolds out into a 96" king-sized bed, in front of the fireplace. Round 2 was ready to begin as soon as I went easily back to sleep. Quickly scanning the weather, I saw that there was now a "***WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING***, and we'd get the brunt of it if we were caught on the roads at 10a-12noon, headed to or coming back from the CPA app't. It all depend on how the storm tracks, of course, I'll have to make that decision in the morning, around 9:45a. Back to sleep for Round 3, 4, 5 etc. The forecast had been revised to 6-8". The 4th Nor'Easter in a month. Yikes. The dreams changed to more contemporary issues; less fun. Great night of sleep.

Happy First Day of Spring! The blizzard started here around 10am, Becky and Dad stopped by and picked me up in her 2013 BMW x3, and we drove south to Dallastown, met with Margo, signed our Federal returns to be e-Filed, and took the other Federal and State returns back home to sign, date, stamp and write a check (mine were $24,172 and $6,172), and mail ASAP. Crap. There was a serious and full-blown blizzard going on outside; and we drove north thru York City to Dad's and then she dropped my off at my condo.

Finally, a little light and progress on the death sentence known as Pancreatic Cancer; here and here. I sent the articles to my PCP (Primary Care Provider) and to the Chief Oncology Surgeon, at Apple Hill Medical Center, in York. They posted them or the Oncology Dept to read. We'll see where that goes.

I didn't need any milk, eggs, bread or TP for the coming 5-8" of overnight snow; I'm very well stocked, but it was hilarious to watch the panic of 95% of the shoppers at the convenience store as shelves were being wiped out. I checked the updated weather maps, listened to some Talk Radio, and called it a day at 10:30p.

I slept-in until 9:30a on Wednesday, and looking out the front door, the snow was coming down to "beat the band". ***A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING***, with accumulations of 5-8", according to local weather reports. It appears they've named it "Toby". We're getting what the other 3 recent Nor'Easters, over the past 3 weeks (4 Nor'Easters in 3 weeks!), failed to drop on us. Everything was at a standstill, and I couldn't see any more that 50-60ft thru all that snowfall. Sure am glad that I don't have to plow that 20ac GC&N anymore; it's someone else's headache now. I called Becky and Dad to make sure they were OK, made lots of coffee and some breakfast of grits and poached eggs.

I cancelled tomorrow's 11a meeting at the GC&N, due to the excessive snowfall; we'll just have to wait until the weather is a bit more favorable to make it up the 1,000ft front driveway, and into the drifted-over buildings. With 40-50°F temps over the next weeks, it'll be gone, and we'll experience flooding in low-lying areas.

With nowhere to go and nothing to do, until we get plowed out here, I laid down on the LR couch and slept on and off for 6-7hrs. It felt good catching-up on all the lousy nights' sleep I've had, recently. There was a time when I'd fire-up the ol' 2002 Jeep, and blow thru it all, to one of the plowed, main roads. Waking-up at 7p, I had a couple Starbuck's Ready-To-Drink Coffees, checked the latest weather maps and news, and settled-in to listen to The Mark Levin Show. Still snowing lightly outside, it looks as though we easily got 13-15", based upon my lightpole's yardstick.

By 9pm, after moving things around in the LR, I was watching The Velocity Channel, and massive fatigue hit me like a ton of bricks. I took my evening statin pils, and went to bed. Cleaning ladies in tomorrow at 8:30a.

Are you truly ready for when, not if, TSHTF (The Shit Hits The Fan). And a lot of my "Journal" Readers have emailed and called me to discuss what preparations they should take for that "coming awful event". Believe me, "it" IS coming. Based upon what's happening around the world and here in the US, I have a terrible, terrible *gut feeling* that TSWHTF (The Shit Will Hit The Fan), sometime in 2014. Don't ask why; I just do.

First, Israel is preparing for war, after being attacked for years on many fronts, and not fighting back as she should have. This war will truly have "Biblical implications" around the world. The Middle East is rapidly-collapsing under the subhuman, murderous muslim/islamic riots (muslim Brotherhood) and rule ("arab Spring"), with world crude oil prices projected to hit $200+/bbl, or even higher into the $300-$400 range,

Europe is on the verge of insolvency and collapse, no thanks in great part to Germany, teetering-and-tottering Asia and South America will quickly-follow, then comes the downfall of Canada, and The USA won't be far behind, in late 2012 and into 2013. Watch this video; be sure you're sitting-down, and don't have any food or liquid in your mouth upon which to choke.

I'm reading that "survival stores" are reporting a huge upswing in sales and preparations, and for good reason.

I'm also one of the very, very few who "predicted a 9-11 type event", 2 years and 8 months before it happened. Read down that "Journal" entry to the "Scary Stuff" section, and it was done by the subhuman, murderous muslim/islamic shit/filth/trash, NOT the US Gov't as some morons and idiots (Alex Jones & Co), have and still It's interesting you mention when an old paradigm dies and a new one takes its place. There are people who are still connected to the old one and can't conceive of life without that old paradigm. I think you saw that in the Great Depression. A lot of people never recovered from it because once that hit it was the end of their lives. claim. Need I say more about those certifiable and murderous, subhuman muslim/islamist wackos who are determined to kill all of us Proud Infidels?

Am I an "conspiracy alarmist" or one of those "crazed survivalists", sequestered in a Montana, Idaho, Utah or Wyoming compound or bunker? BTW, how are you stocked-up for incandescent light bulbs? Within 4 weeks, manufacturing and using 100w incandescent will become "a crime", thanks to stupid-assed, liberal moron chimp, shit-for-brains, George W Bush & Co, in 2007. You'll be forced, under penalty-of-law, to use the very expensive,

dangerous and short-lived CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs). Better stock-up NOW on 60w, 75w and 100w incandescents, where and when you can find them, before they become unavailable and illegal!

This government's ***CRIMINALLY NUTS***, in trying to regulate our use of anything and everything! It's fascism, socialism, Leninism and communism, dammit, and it won't stand! Where is that in The US Constitution? The US Government isn't empowered to force us to do or buy anything, and has overstepped its legal authority in The ENUMERATED Commerce Clause. The Commerce Clause is quite specifically an enumerated power listed in the United States Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 3). The Contemporary Commerce Clause debate, When "decided by the SCOTUS in the Summer of 2012", will cause CWIII, if upheld. Stockpile NOW, because TSHTF before/during/after the November General Election!

Obama: "Entrepreneurs Don't Build Businesses"

"Last week, President Barack Obama delivered some telling remarks to a fire station full of people in Roanoke, Virginia. I'll save you the trouble of reading the (long and uninspired) speech and provide you with the most interesting part:

     "If you've got a business – you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." – President Barack Obama, July 13th, 2012.

It would be easy to respond with something along the lines of, "Somebody else made that happen? Who? Who magically imagined the product or service, started the business, built it up, and created the jobs? Who was it? The tooth fairy?" And to some extent, President Obama's statement is so ridiculous as to merit that sort of quick, flippant response.

However, he's not entirely wrong. This reminds me of an argument that Massachusetts Senate Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren would probably make. If he's talking about a mid-sized or large business, where an entrepreneur has hired additional employees, then at that point the business's success isn't purely that of its founder.

Employees add value to a business through work and ideas. That's why you hire employees, after all. Steve Jobs didn't invent every last detail of the phones, computers, and tablets to come out of Apple over the last decade. There were engineers working on those products who developed them. So, employees help entrepreneurs to build their business. "Somebody else" did indeed play a part in making that happen.

But what makes the president's remarks so inane is the totality of what he's saying. He's not saying that entrepreneurs and employees work together to build a business. It's not a collaborative effort. It's all thanks to the employees. Usually, I can understand the way the president's mind works on most issues by examining it through a pragmatic, liberal, or progressive framework. This one baffles me.

As I explained, I can see that he has some of a point, but he's still just obviously wrong on the broader point. Sure, the employees help to build the business, but the business itself wouldn't exist without the entrepreneur. So, to say to entrepreneurs and to business owners, "...you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen," is just wrong. It's silly. They did build that by setting the foundation for the business.

Entrepreneurs are almost always the hardest workers in their business. They work a simply insane number of hours to get their idea off the ground. If they succeed (and they face a tremendous risk if they don't), then they'll start to grow and to hire employees to help. Honestly, if I were an entrepreneur and I read those remarks by the president, I would be furious. It's a tremendous insult to the true job-creators in America, entrepreneurs.

In the context of a long, somewhat rambling campaign speech that touched on every issue under the sun, it may seem as though I'm over-exaggerating the importance of a minor thing he said. But President Obama isn't a stupid man, or even one who makes off-the-cuff remarks he doesn't really mean. He's a very smart man, and he meant what he said.

When the most important issues for most Americans are economic growth and job creation, I believe it's essential to know exactly where both candidates stand on the importance of entrepreneurs.
