Why is the obvious always overlooked when the pundits are trying to figure out why the liberal-democRATs are committing political and social suicide? Are they out of touch or out of their minds? Most likely; both. Those morons are smoking some bad dope; why else would they be doing what they're doing? What else could be the reason for their abject stupidity, idiocy and moronism? Like moving toward way left-wing fringe wackos, right after the '02 elections, despite The Massacre of September 11th moving the rest of America to the Right. Why else would the lowlife, empty-headed, un-American scumbags from Hollyweird be criticizing President Bush and the Iraq War, when they kept their foul mouths shut during the ample scandals, lies and numerous criminal enterprises of the eight horrid white trash Klintoon Years, and worship and say nothing about the murderous dictator of communist Cuba. Why else, indeed? President Bush is playing the Hate America liberals and democRATs like a fine old violin, and they still don't "get it". I have a feeling that they never will, as their lack of morals, responsibilty and honor dooms them all to a pitiable life of unending hell-on-earth. In a nutshell, here's what happened, and what is happening. I'm enjoying the unfolding scenario, immensely.

Memorial Day Weekend was a zoo. Traffic was heavy leaving the GC&N Complex last Friday evening and coming back in on Saturday morning. News reports say that record numbers of travellers are hitting the roads, despite the "orange" terror alert status. Gas prices are averaging $1.35/ gal (87 octane) in the York (PA) area, with diesel still around $1.75/ gal at most places. The weekend was off to a rainy start, and I'd decided to be open on Monday's Memorial Day Holiday. I didn't see a single car on the roads at 8am Monday morning, as I was going to work; very eery to see everything empty and deserted. (Sat 8-5, Sun 12-5, Mon 9-3) Hmmmm, not a very good start to the Holiday: an 85 car pile-up in Maryland, an interstate highway bridge collapse in Nebraska and a cruise ship explosion in Miami. Kinda glad I didn't go anywhere. Just worked, and did the obligatory grilling, for some friends who stopped by to say howdy. Hey, some of them are home; bravo!
I'm up to 20 employees; which includes a landscape foreman, 2 x 3-Man A- & B-Team LSCP Crews, 1 x 3-Man LSCP Maintenance Crew, 3 Greenhouse Workers, 1 Handy-Man, 5 Retail and Sales Employees, and Me (myself and I). Doing what I can to bring down unemployment in York County, PA.
If this is true, I'm sure glad I moved out of New Jersey in '89, and into York, PA. It was crowded back then, and the overall level of incivility was higher than I wanted to tolerate; I can't imagine what it's like there, now. This is the other reason, and it's getting worse by the day.
The Atkins Diet continues to work for me: since April 8th, I've lost 40lbs; down from 247 to 207, last Sunday morning. Still another 30lbs to go. Feeling and looking better than I did, but still not quite where I want to be. The US Government still thinks I'm fat, of course. Here, calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index).
