The words leaped off the page.

As I read Habakkuk 1:2-4, I thought about the United States. The prophet’s complaint about the violence, iniquity, and injustice in ancient Judah matched everything that I saw all around me. How much longer could it be before God’s judgment falls on America?

That was over twenty-five years ago. What grabbed my attention back then is tame compared to now. Wickedness, lawlessness, violence, and injustice have increased exponentially in America since then. Abortion and child trafficking hang over our nation like a thick black cloud of hazardous, deadly chemicals.

How much more than a trillion dollars, gets produced, in an economy based on selling fried chicken nuggets and streamed movies, to people with no jobs.

Corruption defines the U.S. government. The leadership of both political parties support the globalists’ agenda although some Republicans, on occasion, speak out against the injustice and moral decay of our land. This, however, does little to impede the rapid deterioration of values in our country.

On November 16, 2022, twelve Republican Senators joined Democrats in ending debate on the “Respect for Marriage Act,” a bill that established same-sex marriage as federal law. Franklin Graham had this to say about the horrid legislation, which later passed in Congress due to widespread support from both political parties:

The deceitfully named Respect for Marriage Act will be voted on by the U.S. Senate this week, as early as Wednesday. The bill strikes a blow at religious freedom for individuals and ministries and is really the ‘Destruction of Marriage Act.’ Its sponsors remarkably claim it protects religious freedom. It does not. This disastrous bill sends a message to America that if you don’t agree with the left’s definition of marriage, you are a bigot.[1]

Baal Worship, and it Gets Worse

Jonathan Cahn, in his book, The Return of the Gods, documents America’s moral decline. He shows how starting in the 1960’s, the ancient gods of the Romans reappeared on our shores and since then have exerted an ever-increasing wicked influence over many.

If you want more of something, subsidize it.

I once thought that Baal worship was something confined to Old Testament days. I was wrong. Jonathan Cahn wrote this about the appearance of a mysterious object in New York City on September 19, 2016.

It was massive, nearly eleven tons of Egyptian marble and rising nearly twenty feet from the ground. It was an arch, a massive recreation of the arch that had led to the Temple of Baal.

It had appeared in London and would later appear in other Western cities, including Washington, DC. But the appearance of the arch that had served as the entranceway to Baal’s Temple in New York City was especially significant. For New York City had played a central role in America’s apostacy from God and, in many ways, served as the capital of that fall. It had functioned as a conduit for Baal’s entrance into American civilization.[2]

I agree with Cahn’s assessment that the unveiling of the arch signified America’s rejection of the Lord along with the willingness of multitudes to worship a host of other gods inspired by the master of them all, the one known as Baal. We the evidence of this all around us.

Rumors of pedophilia and satanic child sacrifice among celebrities in Hollywood run rampant and appear well-founded. The horrors that these young boys and girls experience continue with little interference by those empowered to stop such practices. Many in our government, including the Biden administration, not only support sex trafficking, but facilitate this vile practice with open border policies.

Despite the overturning of Roe v Wade in 2022, the blood of precious children still soaks American soil and cries out for justice. Several states remain fixated on the murder of the innocents with many corporations paying the travel expenses for women in states where laws prohibit such slaying. Since 1973, abortion mills in the United States murdered over sixty-two million precious children.

Companies such as Walmart and Target report billions of dollars in theft from their stores in just the past year! Such lawlessness takes place out in the open as gangs rush into a store, quickly steal valuable goods, and flee before the police arrive. Lawlessness, a sure sign that we live in the last days, is becoming commonplace across the U.S.

Today, the words of Habakkuk 1:2-4 appear more relevant to America than ever before.

O Lord, how long shall I cry for help,

    and you will not hear?

Or cry to you “Violence!”

    and you will not save?

Why do you make me see iniquity,

    and why do you idly look at wrong?

Destruction and violence are before me;

    strife and contention arise.

So the law is paralyzed,

    and justice never goes forth.

For the wicked surround the righteous;

    so justice goes forth perverted.

Why can we apply the above passage to America? It’s because God responds to wickedness in the same way regardless of where it appears. He holds all nations accountable for their sins and judges them accordingly.

As I survey the current landscape of a once mighty nation, I believe it’s only a matter of time before it becomes The Late Great United States.

“Look Among the Nations”

In response to Habakkuk’s listing of grievances regarding the Lord’s apparent lack of response to the sins of His people, He told the prophet to “Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded” (Habakkuk 1:5). God then drew attention to the mounting threat posed by the Chaldeans or the Babylonians, who would destroy Jerusalem and take many of its people captive a couple decades after the Lord revealed His plans to the prophet.

In our day, we see another beast rising among the nations. It’s a repeat of the tower of Babel and most definitely a threat to the future of the United States as well as to the entire world.

We don’t see a tall structure stretching heavenward, but rather the World Economic Forum (WEF) led by Klaus Schwab and his closest advisor, Yuval Harari. The intent of opposing God and uniting the world under a Satanic regime, however, are remarkably similar to Genesis 11.

During the week of January 16-20, 2023, the WEF held its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Its attendees included over 50 heads of state, 380 other top government officials from all over the world, scores of top corporate CEOs, and an abundance of other powerful dignitaries.

Many prominent government leaders from the U.S. also attended. The governor of Georgia, several members of Congress and the Senate, and the director of the FBI all spoke in favor of various WEF initiatives.

While their agenda seems benign to many, their true intent is both diabolical and deadly. Leo Hohmann, an investigative reporter, wrote this on his blog about the WEF’s attempt to solve the world’s problems, most of which they themselves engineered:

But now the stakes are higher because more of us regular folks are waking up and learning about the true agenda of the WEF’s Great Reset and Fourth Industrial Revolution. They intend to digitally enslave the world in a total surveillance state based on a global digital ID (likely disguised as vaccine passports) and a global digital currency to replace cash….

The WEF bemoans the current economic reality in its Global Risks Report, ignoring the fact that most of the economic problems were caused by the very elites who now propose to have the solutions.[3]

The Lord told Habakkuk to “look among nations” in order to identify the growing threat to ancient Judah. In our day, the globalists’ tentacles reach far into the halls of America’s government and pose a clear and present danger to the freedoms we cherish.

The Pathy to a Debased Mind

How did we get to such a place? It didn’t happen overnight, but occurred as many of our leaders and their supporters journeyed down the road to perdition described in Romans 1:18-32. The words of warning from these verses strip away any pretense of hope for America. Paul wrote these words verse 18:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.”

What the apostle describes in the rest of the chapter perfectly aligns with the past sixty years of American history. Romans 1:28-32 speaks prophetically to the current downward trajectory of the U.S.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

Signs of a “debased mind” as described in the above verses abound throughout the United States’ culture and leadership.

During a debate with President Donald Trump leading up to the 2020 election, candidate Joe Biden said that seven-year-olds should be able to choose their gender. His words stunned me. Surely, I thought, very few people would vote for him after making such an egregious and vile statement. Sadly, I was very wrong.

It gets far worse.

In 2022, a news story claimed that the Biden administration sent money to Ecuador for the purpose of putting on drag queen shows, which are a hideous and grossly indecent repudiation of all that God’s Word says about gender and morality. It’s a sickening attack upon our children, but I digress.

Newsweek’s efforts to fact-check this report resulted in the two disturbing paragraphs below:

In a statement sent to Newsweek, a spokesperson for the State Department said the agency supports "a wide range of strategic programs in Ecuador" that focuses on diversity and representation, and that the goal of the CEN [Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano program] is to "promote tolerance" and "provide new opportunities for LGBTQI+ Ecuadorians to express themselves freely and safely."

"LGBTQI+ people across the globe deserve to live in societies free from targeted violence and discrimination. Recent data suggest an alarming and deadly rise in violence against LGBTQI+ persons in Ecuador," the spokesperson said.[4]

The report that the Biden administration used our money to fund drag shows in Ecuador was not only true, but just a small sampling of President Biden’s efforts to promote abhorrent debauchery and vile behavior in many other nations.

Early Signs of Judgment

We have yet to see bombs falling on U.S. cities or the devastation of severe earthquakes such as what happened in Turkey and Syria in early February of 2023, However, we see early indications of the Lord’s weakening of the United States in advance of His wrath.

Before Habakkuk complained about the wickedness and injustice in ancient Judah, did the Lord provide any early signs to warn the nation. A century earlier, He spoke the following words through the Prophet Isaiah, a message that rings with much significance for modern day America:

And I will make boys their princes,

    and infants shall rule over them.

And the people will oppress one another,

    every one his fellow

    and every one his neighbor;

the youth will be insolent to the elder,
    and the despised to the honorable. (Isaiah 3:4-5)

I see at least two similarities in the above verses pertaining to the start of God’s judgment falling upon the United States.

1. Immature Leadership

The Hebrew word for “boys” in Isaiah 3:4 suggests a young lad or a servant. In this context, it denotes an immaturity of leadership; someone under the control of others. Those in current leadership in the U.S. also exhibit naivety and at times appear subservient to unknown powers.

The Hebrew word for “infants” in verse 4 denotes “malicious young men,” or even tyrants. This signifies the inexperience of a child who rules by selfish inclinations based on his or her whim at the moment. The usage of this word also signifies evil motives on the part of those in positions of authority. The Lord gave Israel immature and weak rulers as an early indication of His displeasure with the nation, ones who served with unbiblical childish motives and placed their thirst for power above the needs of the people.

Does this passage characterize those in charge of the United States at the moment? Absolutely!

President Biden’s dementia leads to continual displays childish behavior. He often stumbles through sentences that make no sense, expresses fear of disappointing those who control him, and makes bizarre nonsensical statements. At times he erupts in angry tirades that either seem out of place or highly disproportionate to the topic he’s addressing.

Vice President Harris lacks any semblance of maturity at times as she giggles and laughs at the most inappropriate times. Her speeches resemble those that a teacher would give to a kindergarten class. At other times, she repeats herself over and over and over.

2. Division

The Lord also sent division to Judah as an early warning of the destruction that was to follow. People oppressed others; the youth acted with brazen disrespect toward the older generation. If such behavior the beginning of the Lord’s judgment of a nation, it certainly fits the United States.

Jesus said, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand (Matthew 12:25). Many of those in high elected offices in the U.S. employ division as a means of destroying America and at the moment, this tactic is working well.

It’s as if the Lord was speaking of the United States when spoke regarding the division in ancient Judah.

Revival or Rapture?

Disagreements exist among Christians regarding what’s ahead for the United States. Many, like me, believe the Rapture is imminent. The signs point to the rapidly approaching seven-year Tribulation and thus to Jesus’ appearing to take us home, which the Bible says must occur prior to this time of trouble on the earth.

Others believe we are on the cusp of a great revival that will change the course of history in America as well as throughout the world. They say this future great awakening will usher in a glorious time for the nations with the church leading the way.

A popular song written and sung by Kari Jobe, Amen (Simple Gospel), echoes the hope of a great revival with the church calming our fears for the future, not Jesus. Below is a quote from the last verse:

“The church will arise / With power and love / Our cities will know / The glory of God / The future is bright / There's nothing to fear / Revival is now / The Kingdom is here.”

The words sound wonderful at first glance, but does the Bible teach that the church will triumph over the forces of darkness actively at work in our world? No, it most certainly does not. The Bible tells us that apart from the return of Jesus, the future looks bleak, at best, for our world.

Please know that it’s not a denial of God’s redeeming power that leads me to conclude that we live in the last days of human history, but rather a belief in what God’s Word says about the time leading up to the start of the Tribulation. Yes, the Holy Spirit will continue to bring many to saving faith in Jesus, but this will fall far short of slowing down the downward trajectory of the U.S.

I regard the April 8, 2024, solar eclipse as God’s warning to the United States that His judgments are on the way. As most of you know, this eclipse completes an X across the U.S., when we include the one that occurred on August 21, 2017.

This eclipse not only comes at a time when a myriad of signs tell us that we live in the last days of human history as we know it, but also when corruption, wickedness, lawlessness, and violence characterize America, things that the Bible says will bring God’s judgment on any nation.

Beside America’s descent into decadent behavior, the Biden administration has placed America on exceedingly dangerous ground with its support of Israel’s enemies and insistence of dividing the Land of Israel to provide a state for the Palestinians. The Bible is quite clear that these things will bring both a curse along with the Lord’s wrath.

Will sudden destruction occur within the United States on April 8? Probably not. The significance of this solar eclipse comes from what Scripture reveals about the day in which we live along with the consequences it spells out for nations that have traveled done America’s current path in the past.

It’s all these things that make view the symbolism behind the upcoming darkening of the sun as a harbinger that someday people will view our nation as The Late Great United States.

I do not know what sorrows and suffering we might experience in the days ahead as America continues its downward trek. However, because the Bible says the Rapture will happen before the Day of the Lord wrath falls on the world (2 Thessalonians 5:1-10), we can rest in total assurance that Jesus will appear and take us to Heaven before the coming “sudden destruction” arrives and the Lord’s wrath engulfs the entirety of planet earth.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 8a on Friday, I went thru my finger stick to check my BSL (Blood Sugar Level) and recorded it on my Diabetes 2 chart, made coffee, took two 50mg Tramadol and a 300mg Gabapentin for Sciatica pain, fired-up the Win-7 Pentium HP desktop to let 32 million lines of code load, had a couple smokes in the semi-cool garage and checked the leftover errands list.

It was a balmy 59°, so I didn't fire-up the condo furnace or garage heater, still raining with 2½" so far, scanned the news and weather sites, and tuned into the "Chris Stigall Show LIVE" (CS Show) from 6-9a, and then the "Chris Plante Show LIVE" (CP Show) 9-12noon, and finally to the Rob Carson Show LIVE (RC Show) 12-3p.

Just a reminder...

Her boyfriend's not very good looking, but he makes her laugh.

Awww crap; the news is still full of "OJ Shit", on both radio and TV. Fox has 5 articles on their website News section! I'll go elsewhere. I had Bacon, Egg & Cheese Toast for breakfast, and plenty of Kona Coffee, as I lounged around until almost 12noon. Sherry called and would be stopping by to visit, after 1:30p. It'll be nice to see her; haven't since she was here on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, thousands of known terrorists are roaming freely around America, planning massive attacks on "soft targets" in the coming days/weeks/months. Just a matter of "when", not "if". Count on it. I had sauced Pulled Pork BBQ & Potato Salad, for lunch, worked on computer system maintenance, until Sherry arrived at 2p. We had a good almost 3hrs together before she had to leave and get some things done at home, before more storms blew thru the area. My CPA's office called to tell me my 2023 Tax Returns were ready, so I'll go in at 10a to get them, tomorrow. The rain started again. I had some Shrimp Fried Rice for dinner, closed the condo as temps began dropping, watched the news and History's "The UnXplained" Marathon series until 11:30p. Lights out.

Up at 6a on Saturday, to a cooler 49°, cloudy, no rain, but a ***WIND ADVISORY*** in-place on weather sites. I turned-up the heat, made coffee, had a couple of smokes in the garage, fed the squirrels and relaxed with yesterday's "CS Show PODCAST". I had Bacon, Egg & Cheese Toast for breakfast, a carafe of Kona Coffee, and left at 10:15a for Dallastown, and my CPA's Offices.

(Just kidding...)

I left at 10:30, traffic was a usual heavy Saturday crawl, but the trip, including a stop at Rite Aid Pharmacy to p/u 2 waiting Rxs, only took less than an hour. I wrote a PA State Return check, and the Federal Return was eFiled by my CPA. I also paid some Springettsbury Two bills online, and had some lunch. I had some condo chores to do, grabbed a nice 2hr snooze on the LR couch, and did some computer maintenance work, before dinner. I watched the FNC evening news, then switched over to Discovery's "Expedition Unknown" until the ***BREAKING NEWS*** of the Iran missile strikes on Israel, for 2-3hrs, and called it a night at 11:45p. I was tired.

It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.

Up at 6:15a on Sunday, it was a cool 44°, but clear sky. I fired-up the heat, made the last of the Blended Kona Coffee (making way for a new 1lb of Kona HAPA Single Origin), and checked the news on Israel's condition after last night's drone/cruise missile, ICBM attack from that muslim(SPIT!) hellhole (the hate-Israel which needs to be totally destroyed, IMO). With Sherry coming over at 1p, I grabbed a shave and shower, started a load of laundry, and quickly did some other chores that I'd normally spread out over a Sunday afternoon. But I'd much rather be with Sherry, so I hurried thru everything else, so we could spend more time together. And it's a very busy week for me.

Sherry arrived at 1, and we drove down to nearby Springettsbury Twp Park (62ac) and did a nice loop around the park. Lots of people in the park today, more crowded than I remember previously. We talked with several dog/ and kid walkers, and despite the tanking economy, everyone seemed to be glad to be outside in the fresh air and nice day. (FYI: Bidet’s written 2024+ plan calls for a higher small business tax hike, a higher corporate tax hike, a capital gains and dividends tax hike, income tax hikes, much higher energy tax hikes and even a second Death Tax on top of the first one.) It was seriously windy, and I could have used a chin strap for my Panama Hat, but nevermind that. Back at my place, we talked for a while, until she left around 5p, I got some dinner, and watched the updated news about the Israel-Iran War -- yes, that's right: WAR. High for the day was another delightful 78°, and no rain in sight. I lounged around on the back patio until 7p, had some BBQ & Potato Salad for dinner, watched the news and switched to Motor Trend's "Full Custom Garage", an amazing series of vehicular fabrication. The guy, Ian Roussell, is amazing. By 11p, I was tired from the Sciatica's back/hip pain, and bagged it for the night. Busy day tomorrow.

Up at 6;15a on Monday, 58°, cloudy, no rain, so no heat needed. I made coffee, tuned into the "CS Show", and scanned the news headlines to catch-up on yesterday's events. Lots of grim news: murders of police responding to calls, people getting punched by niggas, demonKKKrat crime running rampant, legal system doing nothing, etc etc etc. Depressing to read. I tuned into the "CS Show LIVE" and then the "CP Show LIVE", had breakfast, noted that it was already 70° by 10a. It would be a *warm* day, actually 82° for the high.

Sis stopped by at 11, and we left for lunch and a lengthy Wisteria pruning session & w/ JoAnne & Tim, south of Red Lion. I had 2 stops to make on the way, and we arrived at 12noon. A delightful lunch, seeing her 18mo old granddaughter, and Tim and I hacked back the aggressive Wisteria, mistakenly put on a plastic/PVC trellis, which was being squeezed to death. In 5yrs, it'll pull down the trellis and have to be removed. Back home by 2:15p, Sis left, and I did some condo chores, and watched as huge t-stormfronts moved-in from the west.

After a bit of dinner, I watched the news and switched to History's "Ancient Aliens" until 11p; lights out.

Awake and up at 5a on Tuesday, at 0-DARK-THIRTY, I made coffee, had a smoke in the cool garage, 54°, noted the AC still set at 72°, and scanned the news headlines at several sites. JoAnne, my longtime cleaning lady and friend, would be in today at 8:30a. I tuned into the "CS SHOW LIVE" at 6a, with a 3rd fresh mug of Kona Coffee, opened the garage door to get some fresh air in with a cold 47°. There is so much hypocrisy, stupidity, idiocy and just plain bullshit in the days's news, so far, that it's exhausting to read and digest. So I just scan headlines and 1 or 2 sentences. Heh. I'm also scheduled to meet one of Alan's company's crews to get some work done at Mt Rose Cemetery and then back to my condo to get some perennials transplanted, so the front lamp post can be re-wired [put into PVC conduit) before the new wire is connected to the inside fuse/breaker box. Busy day ahead.

I left for Mt Rose Cemetery at 9:30a, to meet Dave and Chris, to go over what work I wanted done, and came home after seeing them start work. By 1p, they were at my place to get some small projects done, and had finished by 3:30p. I grabbed an hour snooze on the couch, had some lunch and scanned the news again. There was a very bad accident in West York, today. When Sherry called, she told me about it, and I had to look it up. I skipped dinner, watched the evening news, and switched-over to History's "Curse of Oak Island" for the rest of the evening, and bagged it for the nigh at 12:30a.

Up at 8a on Wednesday, I could have slept another 3-4hrs. Groggily, I made coffee, fired-up the desktop, had some smokes in the garage, and tuned into the "CS Show LIVE". 59° and sunny, and the lawnmower crews were here and making noise, before 3 more days of t-storms and rain arrive. The open electrical wire trench in my garden will likely partially wash back in, but it can be easily fixed and cleaned-out. Two vertical lines of t-storms were already heading our way, from the west, now in western Indiana. The "CP Show LIVE" was on at 9a, as I checked email and scanned the news headlines. The sky clouded-up and the lawnmower guys hurried to get done and out of here.

I had simple Rye Toast, KerryGold Irish Butter and Philly Cream Cheese. for breakfast. Still not 100% awake, I kept walking around to exercise the R/S hip's Sciatica, even after taking 2 50mg Tramadol, but the pain was persistent. I took a 500mg Bayer Aspirin, and that really helped, as usual. I'm about ready to give-up the Tramadol. The first round of showers arrived around 11. By 12noon, the "RC Show LIVE" was on, I didn't need to go anywhere -- 2 errands can wait until tomorrow -- but I would run out to get some Half & Half and Marlboros, just to get some fresh air. The Rxs at Rite Aid can wait.

Meanwhile, hundreds of the subhuman Antifa filth and anti-Israel "protestors" are still blocking bridges and roads, all over America. RUN THEM OVER AND KILL THEM fellow drivers! Throw them off the bridges! Kill them, kill them, kill them! They are lowlife, subhuman, hate-America, leftists, commies, liberals, socialists, progressives, Marxists, fascists, anarchists etc etc etc, are hard at work, everywhere. Send the police back to the station, and LET THE *PISSED-OFF* MOTORISTS DEAL WITH THAT SUBHUMAN SCUM! KILL THEM!

After a couple of Bacon Cheeseburgers for lunch, I hit the LR couch for 2hrs. T-storms kept moving thru the area, but no rain, as was forecast. I did some paperwork until dusk, closed down the condo, had some dinner and watched Discovery's "Expedition Unknown" until 11:30. Lights out.

Up at 6a on Thursday, a cool, foggy, very cloudy 54°, with showers forecast. No furnace needed at 70°, so I made Kona Coffee, had a couple smokes in the garage and tuned into the "CS Show LIVE" and scanned news site headlines. I switched over to the "CP Show LIVE" at 9a, and 10mins later, WMAL-105.9 went off the air, for 30+ mins. I tried 4 browsers -- Opera, Chrome, Brave and Pale Moon -- and got "ERROR WITH CONTENT" on all four, until just after 10:15, when it came back on the air. I ordered-in a 16" large thin crust pizza w/ yellow banana peppers, beef, mushrooms, onion and Philly Cheese Steak, a Loaded Tater Tots w/ Bacon and Cheese, and a 12" Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, gorged myself (no, only a healthy portion) to crash from the morning's caffeine, and hit the LR couch for a nap at 2:45p.

I skipped dinner, watched the evening news, called Sherry and tried to find something to watch on another NBC (Nothing But Crap) Night. Meh. Temps dropped from the day's 71° high, down into the low 50s. I moved from the back patio to the garage, for smoking. I bounced around between channels, and gave-up at 11p. Sleep is needed. Drs ap't tomorrow, and then Sherry's here sometime after 1p. Nice.

Tomorrow begins a new week, here in the "Journal", and next week's a clear week, except for voting in the Tuesday PA State Primary, which I'll do. Hopefully, Sherry and I can get some time together, unlike this week's busy schedule for both of us.

I know, not a pretty picture. The cliff is our country’s financial quandary; the lightning is us getting sucked directly into war; and the tarantula pit below is the emerging peril of Covid vaccine injury and death coming on hard, like your landing. They’re selling postcards of the hanging, They’re painting the passports brown, The beauty parlor is filled with sailors, The circus is in town.

Gold and silver are vaulting up suddenly like nobody’s business (literally). This may be fun to see if you are sitting on a pile, even a small pile of the stuff. But to everybody else it’s a signal that something is messed up in the complex engine of the economy. You know, of course, that our money is debt. So, debt is the fuel that drives that engine. Debt is a promise to pay back money with interest to take advantage of the time-value of money. The time-value of money means it’s better to have the money now (to keep the engine running) than to wait until your work produces money (if it even can).

The trouble is, debt loses its credibility if there is no plausible way of paying it back, or even just to keep paying the interest. That’s exactly what is happening now. Everybody can see that the US government can’t pay the interest on its debt, which is Treasury bonds, notes, and bills (from long duration to short). That debt is running at well over $1-trillion a year. That’s a thousand billion, which is a thousand million, altogether a million million. See, it’s impossible to grok how more than a trillion dollars gets produced in an economy based on selling fried chicken nuggets and streamed movies to people with no jobs.

When the Treasury holds an auction on a new issue of bonds (needed to pay off the interest on old bonds) and nobody shows up to buy because they doubt its ability to pay interest on the new paper, our country’s debt becomes worthless. As a last resort, the Federal Reserve swoops in and buys that worthless paper by creating “money” on its computer. That “money” goes out into the economy. The Fed pretends to get paid interest. It’s all fakery, a swindle. It’s like putting water in the gas tank of your engine. You know that the engine is going to throw a rod. When it does, it’ll be such a shock that the vehicle it’s running in is liable to hit a bridge abutment or something else hard. That’s what tumbling off the cliff is like.

The dopes running US foreign policy are so foolishly obsessed with taunting Russia (“poking the bear”), that they can’t give up their sponsorship of the war in Ukraine, which Ukraine is losing because they never had the mojo for the fight. That should have been obvious, but for some reason our “best-and-brightest” overlooked that. No amount of free weaponry and ammo can make up for the fact that Ukraine has run out of young men to pointlessly get shredded by Russian artillery. Russia is unwilling to get rolled by NATO and the US in a part of the world Russia has controlled for centuries. Yet, “Joe Biden” keeps hinting about sending America’s tranny army there, and even gearing up the military draft for the nose-ring and blue hair generation. Good luck with that.

Nor does “JB” exercise any control over what Israel does over in the Bible Lands. Bibi gonna do what Bibi gonna do. Israel can’t be persuaded that the current war is not a struggle for its existence. As Scott Adams points out, Israel has decided to pawn off its Holocaust cred in order to treat its enemies as harshly as possible, so as not to get wiped off the map. Israel has treated the Palestinians very harshly. (The October 7 Hamas raid was pretty darn harsh, too.) In any case, world opinion went all rancid on Israel. That hasn’t stopped them. Now Israel faces its ultimate foe, Persia, a.k.a. Iran, these days. Persia has a big army and a lot of weapons, and all sorts of wing-men in the neighborhood... as a practical matter, most of Islam right now. This week, Persia made noises about an imminent attack on Israel. Didn’t happen so far.

Let’s get real on Islam. Its core principle is to exterminate the humans on this planet who are not of Islam. Islam has been pissed-off at Western Civ since the Crusades, its animus renewed in 1683, when Islam’s advance into Europe was halted at the gates of Vienna, and then again in modern times when Islam got pushed around because Western Civ wanted its oil. Islam is overrunning Europe again and penetrating the USA through our southern border. Islam means business. It wants to wreck us, kill us, and take our stuff. And it dearly, sorely, wants to deep-six Israel, which Islam contemptuously refer to as “the Zionist entity,” as if it were some crypto-insectile space alien.

America (and Europe, too) wants to play this both ways: to grudgingly help Israel survive while at the same time pretending not to notice Islam’s true aims. Looks like Israel has decided to go for broke on this one whether we ride to rescue or not. Israel may have to go “Mad Dog” in its neighborhood. They may lose this thing anyway. The rest of the world will affect to hate them for it no matter how it ends. Meanwhile, all over Europe the Islamic birth-rate way outpaces the Euro peoples’ birth rate. And how many angry, determined “sleepers” has Islam snuck into the USA the past several years across “Joe Biden’s” open border. It’s a bit disturbing to contemplate. Also, never under-estimate the damage that can be wreaked with small arms against “a pitiful, helpless, giant,” as Dick Nixon once described our country in an earlier time of distress. There’s your lightning storm.

At the bottom of the cliff is the vaxxed-up population of the world waiting for their spike protein infested bodies and dysregulated immune systems to enter fatal break down. Many already have injured organs, hearts, brains, blood, ovaries, etc. Many others will get in trouble when a more efficient Covid-19 mutation goes lethal on them. The public health authorities are desperately trying to conceal the damage. Some organized groups of people are clamoring for the data on vaccine injury and death from places like the CDC, only to discover that the public health agencies not only won’t disclose it but probably avoided even collecting it over fear of what it would show. Horror creeps on little tarantula feet.

This is how the movie is going as of April. Spring is hardly fledged. Portent looms at every compass point. You’re in a tight spot. (We all are.) In modern times -- and I mean going back to the first twinges of the Enlightenment -- faith in the people running things has never been lower. It’s still an election year, har har! It makes you wonder if this movie is actually a comedy.

Americans Differ on Ukraine and Gaza.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, Americans overwhelmingly supported Ukraine—as they did with Israel after October 7.

No wonder: Ukraine was surprise attacked by Russia, and Israel was by Hamas.

It seemed an easy binary of good versus evil: both the attacked Ukraine and Israel are pro-Western. Both their attackers, anti-Western Russia and Hamas, are not.

Now everything is bifurcating. And the politics of the wars in America reflect incoherence.

Both Ukraine and Israel are portrayed in the media as supposedly bogging down in their counteroffensives.

More pro-Israel Republicans are troubled by Ukraine’s strategy, or lack thereof, in an increasing Somme-like stalemate.

Yet more pro-Ukrainian Democrats are turning away from Israel as it dismantles Gaza in the messy, bloody slog against Hamas. The left claims either Israel cannot or should not defeat Hamas, or at least at the present cost.

So the left pushes Israel to a ceasefire with Hamas.

It blasts Israeli “disproportionate” responses.

It demands that Israel avoid collateral damage.

It pressures it to form a wartime bipartisan government.

It lobbies to cut it off from American resupply.

It is terrified that Israel will expand the war by responding to aggression from Hezbollah and Iran.

Yet on Ukraine, the left oddly pivots to the very opposite agenda.

It believes Ukraine should not be forced to make peace with Russian “fascists.” It must become disproportionate to “win” the war.

President Zelensky deserves a pass, despite cancelling elections while suspending political parties.

America must step up its resupply to Kyiv with more and far deadlier weapons.

Ukraine has a perfect right to hit targets inside Russia.

Russian threats to widen the war should be considered empty and thus ignored. America should hate Russia far more than Hamas.

By contrast, conservatives are less supportive of Ukraine’s offensives, if more than ever allied with Israel.

In their realist views, Ukraine is a smaller power, vastly outnumbered by a richer, better-armed Russia. Thus, it should negotiate while it can, rather than eventually losing everything.

Israel, however, is, in their view, defeating Hamas. If allowed to finish the job, it can soon win the war in Gaza and still handle Hezbollah and deter Iran.

Furthermore, the right is wary that Russia is a nuclear power. The Ukraine war is unfortunately creating a new, potent anti-American axis of Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea and drawing in former U.S. allies like Turkey and Qatar.

Yet, in Israel’s case, the U.S. is far more powerful than Hamas’s patron, Iran, and can easily deter it should Tehran intervene.

As of now, none of Hamas’s allies have nuclear weapons. Israel, however, does, unlike Ukraine.

Many conservatives further point out that Israel is a long-time U.S. democratic ally.

Ukraine’s elections are currently suspended while the country remains under martial law.

In realist terms, the old idea of Russian triangulation still makes some sense. Russia should be no friendlier to China than to the U.S., and China is no more aligned with Russia than with America.

Hamas, by contrast, is a terrorist clique, as are Hezbollah and all of Iran’s terrorist appendages. Their hatred of the U.S. is long-standing, immutable, and transcends the Gaza war.

How about the public’s views in general?

With over $35 trillion in debt, still smarting over the humiliating withdrawal from Kabul, and the military short 40,000 recruits, the public does not wish to get heavily involved in either war, even as polls still show radically differing left/right attitudes toward both.

Americans once overwhelmingly supported vast aid for Ukraine. Now they decidedly believe the U.S. is providing too much to Kyiv.

They still poll strong support for Israel over Hamas, but less so for Israel’s ongoing destruction of Hamas given the collateral damage that follows.

Given there are few Russian-Americans, there are almost no demonstrations on behalf of Moscow’s war. But there are plenty of protests for Hamas since there are lots of Middle-Eastern Americans and visitors within the U.S.

What are we to conclude about these contradictory wars and American attitudes toward them?

The more democratic and defensive the power, the more Americans support it—but only up to a point.

Even more, they demand quick victory—and lose interest when the wars stagnate, costs increase, and protests grow.

When Ukraine and Israel began costly counteroffensives, the former losing thousands and the latter killing thousands, the American public began to be less invested in either war.

Final lessons?

Israel should do all it can to destroy Hamas as quickly as possible and end the war.

Ukraine does not have the wherewithal to defeat Russia. It should cease costly offensives against Russia’s fortified lines and seek to negotiate.

Or, put another way, fickle Americans sympathize with those who are attacked. But their continuing support seems contingent on whether the victim can remain sympathetic—and win decisively to end the war rapidly.

I wonder if there is ever a moment while DHS Secretary Mayorkas is claiming that America’s borders are entirely secure and blaming “climate change” for the influx of tens of millions of illegal aliens into the United States when he thinks, “Wow, I am really full of BS. I mean, it is simply amazing how much BS I shovel down the American people’s throats every single day.”

The notion that powerful people lie to the public is certainly not new. You can go back through the centuries and find essays, songs, drawings, and folktales that all attest to the timeless truth that every generation sees its “rulers” as an unworthy camarilla of cutthroats, liars, backstabbers, and thieves. Still, the lies being told today are just so brazen. Damaging tornado? That’s what we get for driving cars. Too many white mathematicians? Obviously another bout of “systemic racism” rearing its ugly head. Trump’s beating Biden in the polls? Duh — that’s because America runs on “hate”!

Disney and other child-grooming companies keep telling us that the only way to protect America’s youth is to put them on puberty blockers and let them dance for skeevy adults. We used to call those skeevy adults “pedophiles,” but now the medical community insists that we treat them with more respect. I have trouble respecting a profession that wants me to respect child molesters. I also have trouble respecting a profession that pushes experimental “vaccines” on patients without their informed consent. The fact that so few physicians have taken responsibility for their unscientific and unethical behavior during totalitarianism’s favorite overhyped pandemic feels like a giant whiff and strike three for medicine. Or maybe the white coats (“systemic racism” alert!) struck out four years ago when medical associations insisted that Antifa and BLM be allowed to burn down neighborhoods in the name of “social justice health,” while the rest of us were forced to stay inside and participate in the theatrical production of the “Great COVID Hoax.” A lot of MDs have BS degrees.

PINO Joe Biden tells listeners (when he’s not tripping over his own words or feet) that “white supremacy” is the “most dangerous terrorist threat” in America. Really? I’ve never met a dreaded “white supremacist.” I’ve never even seen the elusive creature from a distance! I do know generations of Americans who grew up learning the valuable lesson that a person should be judged by the content of his character and not the color of his skin. The day before yesterday, we celebrated those moral people as colorblind Americans who were creating an integrated America and a better world. Then the Democrat Party decided that “integration” was racist and that only the forced segregation that comes from oxymoronic DEI edicts and other race-based sorting programs will do. Those who don’t obsess over the color of another person’s skin are now deemed the worst kinds of racists, while those who glorify race over every other feature of a person’s identity are applauded for their enlightenment! The Old Democrats fought first for slavery and then for segregation. The New Democrats fight for welfare-dependent slavery and segregation. Yet they congratulate themselves for somehow being on the forefront of both progress and civil rights. What unbelievable BS!

In order to understand the enemy, I read a lot of articles from legacy media institutions (i.e., corporate vehicles for State-approved propaganda). When you dive into the slop and dross that win Pulitzers, you’ve got to hold your nose and suspend your capacity for critical thinking. If you can convince your brain cells to play dead for a while, you realize that the more prestigious the publication, the more likely its writers are pod people still plugged into the Matrix.

Anyway, the prestigious pod people are absolutely blown away by how spectacular Dementia Joe’s economy is and cannot understand why any American would doubt that we’re living through a golden age of splendor. I think, “Hello, McFly! Anybody Home?” Have you not been inside a grocery store in Inflation Joe’s America? Everything costs twice as much as it did before mail-in ballot fraud catapulted his senile corpse into office. Have you not filled up a car with gasoline or paid a home energy bill lately? The “green energy” Nazis have jacked up the cost of fuels everywhere in their insane war on hydrocarbons. Even public transportation lackeys are feeling the pinch, as bankrupt cities that are hemorrhaging taxpayers desperately seek to keep municipal budgets afloat by doubling the price of sitting next to a urinating drunk on the subway (warning: they pinch, too).

Everything’s gotten so expensive in Touchy-Feely-Woke-and-Woozy Joe’s America that being just plain poor — as opposed to destitute — has become a privilege! Bidenomics means that “99 Cents Only” stores must go out of business nationwide. Nobody can make a buck in this miserable economy. Unless you crossed into the country illegally — then Democrats will give you more money than they provide struggling military families. If you’re here legally, though, you’re out of luck. When McDonald’s is selling twenty dollar “value meals,” chicken wings cost more than illegal drugs, and thrift stores are the most popular shopping spots in town, life feels a little Great Depression-y. Ooh, but don’t tell the geniuses at The New York Times or The Washington Post. To them, Biden Land is a magical place where middle class parents get to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet! How dreamy…in a dystopian BS kind of tragedy!

The boneheads at The Economist are always telling me (in some hoity-toity-posh-and-snobby accent, no less) that Americans have nothing to complain about because food and energy prices are so much worse in Europe. What kind of a-hole tells a person who’s being robbed to stop complaining because there are even worse robbers sticking it to the blokes on the other side of the pond? I don’t find remedial comfort from the knowledge that the criminals running Old Europe might be worse than the criminals destroying the New World here at home. I say, “Throw all the parasites out — whether they feed on the people from the banks of the Potomac, Thames, Seine, or Spree!” The Bastille might lie in rubble, but I hear the Tower of London provides lovely lodgings this time of year. Oh, dear. Did I just commit a “hate crime” by gluing a few words together in a syntactically impermissible way? How dreadfully felonious of me. Somewhere there’s a self-hating Scot who secretly roots for Edward Longshanks over William Wallace during showings of Braveheart just itching to punish me for dabbling in free speech. To that, I say, “Shut it, ya bampot dobber!” Aye, what bollocky BS.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. Maybe everything’s fine, and what I see as pervasive BS is really some imaginary MAGA bugaboo playing tricks in my head. On the other hand, here’s a two hour and twenty-three minute video of Joe Biden — supposedly the president of the United States — struggling to string words together and form cogent thoughts. Here’s an article about an Oregon professor who blames “climate change” on a “surplus” of “white nationalism.” (Spoiler Alert: if we have too much of something, I guess we have to eliminate some white people.) Here’s a Reuters article whining that “climate change” is having a harmful impact on “Indonesian Trans Sex Workers.” Here’s a whole brouhaha on Reddit in which “trans” activists are arguing “whether they should commit mass suicide or mass genocide to accomplish their political goals.” And here’s an NBC local news affiliate blaming New Jersey’s recent earthquake on man-made “climate change.”

Nah, I must be right on this one. We’re neck deep in nuclear-grade BS today.
