a nation committing suicide

friday, april 21st, 2023

Historian Arnold Toynbee observed "an autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide."

It's hard not to think about this reading the results of the latest Wall Street Journal-NORC poll, appearing under the headline "America Pulls Back From Values That Once Defined It." Looking at the same polling data results among the youngest sector of our population, the picture looks even more dismal.

Only 38% of Americans now say patriotism is "very important," compared to 70% in 1998. Thirty-nine percent say religion is "very important," compared to 62% in 1998. And 30% say having children is "very important" compared to 59% in 1998.

The results that follow from these attitudes are not surprising.

Marriage rates are way down. Birthrates are way down.

In 1990, 67% of American adults between the ages of 25-54 were married. This was down to 51% in 2021.

In 2020, there were 56 births in the U.S. for every 1,000 women ages 15-44. In 1990, there were 70.9.

And, among the births we do have, in 2021, 40% of our babies were born to unmarried mothers.

Not surprisingly, our population is hardly growing. In 2022, the U.S. population increased 0.4%, a modest increase from the 0.1% increase in 2021, the lowest annual population growth since the founding of the nation.

Looking at the same polling data results among the youngest sector of our population, the picture looks even more dismal.

Among those under 30, just 23% say patriotism is "very important" to them, 31% say religion is "very important," and 23% say having children is "very important."

What is important to Americans today?

Although 70% say marriage is either "very important" or "somewhat important," 65% say belief in God is "very important" or "somewhat important," 73% say patriotism is "very important" or "somewhat important," 91% say self-fulfillment is "very important" or "somewhat important," and 90% say money is "very important" or "somewhat important."

The devaluing of marriage, children and patriotism, and the focus on "self-fulfillment" and money are, of course, signs of a culture sunk into egotism and materialism, with a loss of a sense of being part of something larger than oneself.

It is not an encouraging picture for a country that hopes to have a future.

Our health care and retirement systems depend on a growing population. Stagnant population growth means more and more retirees per each individual in the workforce. It's why our Social Security system is bankrupt.

Zero population growth means an aging population and increasing health care costs. In 2019, 56% of all health care costs were in age groups 55 and above. The overall burden of health care costs will continue to increase as the percentage of the population over 55 increases.

There are also implications on national security of attitudes that devalue patriotism and national service.

We now have a volunteer military. This can't work with a population of young people who feel no sense of identity and obligation to their nation.

Again, the results are predictable. In 2022, the Army fell 15,000 short of its recruiting goal.

National defense spending is 3% of GDP, very low by historical standards.

The Wall Street Journal reports our Navy's fleet of ships will shrink to 291 by 2028 from 297 today. And the number of aircrafts in the Air Force is diminishing.

Only 21% of those surveyed say that our country "stands above all countries in the world."

But our country is only the product of its citizenry. A free nation under God becomes less free, and less great, as the Creator is traded in for materialism and egotism.

We have elections coming in 2024. President Joe Biden, assuming he runs, will run on more of what is destroying our nation. It is up to Republicans to run on principles and ideals, in hope that we can mend our rapidly sinking ship of state.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 8:16a on Friday, on a sunny, cool and pleasant 65°, I went thru my finger stick to check my BSL (Blood Sugar Level) and recorded it on my Diabetes 2 chart, made coffee and breakfast, took a Tylenol Extra Strength for various pains, had a couple smokes in the semi-cool garage and checked the leftover errands list. I fed the little grey squirrel with a handful of peanut, after he came into the garage and chirped at me.

Well, Good Morning, America! You "White Supremacists" and "Domestic Terrorists"! The corrupted Dept of InJustice's corrupt, weaponized FBI, will be knocking at your door, soon, if you're not onboard with the fascist-Left's agenda. They've turned everything upside down, in our once-stable, normal world. I'm NOT onboard with their perversions and sicknesses, and they haven't come for me, yet.

Unlike women, men are simple creatures. They live by stimulus and response, and want to satisfy desires and gain and hold territory.

I scanned the news and weather, checked my day's "to-do list" -- just waiting on Rite Aid to get 2 'out-of-stock' Rxs that I really need -- so I'm just staying put. I don't go to the New Eastern Farmers' Market anymore, but I will again as the Summer progresses. Nice food there. I tuned into the "Chris Plante Show" Live (DC), from 9-12, as temps began climbing and the humidity returned. If I get up early, I always listen to the Chris Stigall Show (Philly), from 6-9a. Sherry said she might stop by after she finishes work at Hollie's amazing shop in nearby Hallam, and closes-up for the day.

I made an error last week. I wrote the wrong EO number to the coming CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) order for stealing our monies. It is actually E.O. 14067, which takes all our money away and has the corrupt, criminal, lying US FedGov dole it out to us, and control our lives. All ATMs and Banks will close, and we'll either use a special CC or iPhone to do all banking. China has done it for going on 10 years and controls 1.3 billion people, brutally. Europe is switching to it, country-by-country. It'll be here and being implemented, before the end of 2023, or the beginning of 2024. Count on it.

Temps hit 82° by 12noon, but the humidity wasn't so bad. I kept the AC on at 72°, and left the back patio screen/storm door open, so I could sit on the patio, w/ my coffee and have a smoke. I also swept the patio off, and the front porch and walk, of 90% of the Pin Oak leaves and White Pine needles, but since my Toro® PowerJet F700 Leaf blower has only 100-120-140mph speeds, it's too much to use back there, or on the front porch. A broom sufficed. Today is my 3rd day off of 80mg Lipitor (Atorvastatin), and I'm hoping that my hip pain diminishes as I go without it. If it does or doesn't go away after 7 days, I just notified my 3 Cardiologists and RN-NP, about the results and asked for other options to that med.

Every public utterance, every policy move, every new regulation from today's progressives is designed to further their ability to obtain and hold power and control the American populace.

I waited most all day for Rite Aid to email/call about the 2 Rxs I need, that are "Out Of Stock", but as of 2p, I hadn't heard anything. Good thing I have an "off day", and can patiently wait and waste time, which I'll never get back. The supply chain from CCP-China and India -- who make much of everything we need and use -- has been deliberately slowed down, by the commie bastards. And since George W Bush, we've off-shored 95% of our pharmaceuticals to CCP-China and India. We're now fully-screwed, in the national supply chain, by our own stupidity and greed. CCP-China and India can slow down or cut-off our supplies of critical pharmaceutical products, among tens-of-thousands of other products, that they control.

When did we decide, in America, that everything should be decided upon one's genitalia? There are TWO GENDERS, and ONLY TWO! And Biologic Males SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE AGAINST WOMEN, IN WOMEN'S SPORTS! We seem to be at a flashpoint in the transgender culture wars. Long-threatened violence is now becoming real, and people have been murdered. Bring it, scumbags!

Rite Aid called at 3p, about 1 of 2 Rxs that I need, but I decided to wait until both were ready. The markets are down again. High for the day was 86°. A massive t-storm, aka Nor'easter, is working its way up the East Coast, from Florida, and will hit us later tonite. All of the *** FIRE WARNING ALERTS *** have been taken down on the 3 weather websites I reply upon. I replayed the "CP Show Podcast" from this morning, since I missed many parts of it, doing condo chores.

If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed.

Sherry stopped-by on her way home, and we had a great time. She left before 7p -- dark now by 7:25p. -- and I did some condo chores. I had a light dinner, watched TV until 1a, the rain finally started and I unplugged for the night.

I slept-in until 9a on Saturday. a cloudy, rainy 62° morning. I made coffee, had a smoke in the garage, and scanned the weather and news, as usual. I lounged around all morning, and with little to no pain -- is it a result of Wednesday's Lipitor (Atorvastatin) stoppage? -- I took no painkillers. My back patio's small gardens are doing great, as are my and my neighbor's joined gardens, in front. Everything's pushing, and now with last night's rain, will explode with growth.

I canceled next week's CardioVascular tests -- 3 artery ultrasound tests at $350 each, with no Medicare or Geisinger Health involvement until I hit my $6500 deductible -- until I get this 7-8 day statin-free test done, which I've also notified my Cardio Team at Wellspan, about.

I tuned into the Chris Stigall Show Podcasts (Philly), from the past 2 weeks, which I missed by getting-up too late. After a light lunch, I had a few condo chores to do, no errands to run, so I stayed home for the day. I fed the grey squirrels boiled peanuts in shells, front and back, did a load of dishes, and relaxed for the afternoon. The IMSA Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is on at 5-7pm, so I'll watch that live on USA Network. By 2p, temps were up to 70° and it was raining as cells passed thru the York-Lancaster areas.

Yes, CCP-China is preparing to invade and take over Taiwan, and we're too impotent to do anything about it. We have Special Ops Forces Teams on the ground there, but they won't be enough to repel what CCP-China will throw at that small island. Our military is so infiltrated, polluted and corrupted by trannies, faggots and other subhuman upper-officer filth, that we'll get our asses kicked.

The t-storms and Nor'easter rain front passed thru by 4p, just as I finished shaving. The sun and some blue sky appeared. And the humidity returned, so I closed the condo and set the AC to 72°. I checked my BSL, and it was up to 222 (should be under 150). Yikes! All from a banana and a bottle of Bai® Socxorro Sweet® Iced Tea. Double Yikes!

I transplanted the Jap Maple seedling into a half-pint pot, for Sherry, and left it out on the back patio, in the shade, plenty wet so the root would recover. By 8:15p, it was getting dark, I had a light dinner, watched TV and called it quits at 10:30p.

Once again, I slept-in until 9a on Sunday, as rain passed thru the area, washed-out the heavy fog, and skies cleared to a 61° day's start. I had a couple smokes while coffee brewed, scanned the weather and news, and it was full of shootings; one in Alabama, one in Kentucky, and another in Mexico. Damn. Nothing compare to the carnage in Chicago, every weekend.

I tuned into a podcast from last week's "CP Show", that I'd missed, until having a Croissant, and going up to get a shower, and start some loads of laundry. There's an IndyCar Race on at 3p, from Long Beach, CA. I was ready for the day by 12noon, emptied garbage, and got both the recycle and garbage bins ready to go out to the curb, by 5p. I checked the weather maps, and the Midwest has a "Nor'easter", of sorts, going on, sucking rain and humidity up from the Gulf and spreading it our way, for later tonite. They have snow in Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota! Heh.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn. -- Prov. 29:2.

Reading thru the news, I noticed that the new sambo 'mayor' of Chi-Congo, Brandon Johnson, is blaming businesses for crime and is going to raise taxes for business, in that third world shitty-city. After 4-6yrs of the dwarf sambette, dyke, skank, bug-eyed bitch, Lori Lightfoot, who belongs on the set of Star Wars' "Bar Scene", how much worse can it get? The Left is destroying Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Memphis and scores of other leftist-run shitholes. The feral, wild sambos already own ChiCongo.

First time I've ever asked: What are your PRONOUNS? I personally don't use any, but if I did, they would be "Me, Myself & I". Simple and logical.

After 2 loads of laundry, I pruned a neighbor's misshapen Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis x species) into a nice-looking sapling, and re-staked it so it would grow straight, and not all bent-over, like the shitty nursery who 'grew' it. I watched the 3p start of the IndyCar ACURA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH, a narrow street course, with high attrition from crashes. Good race.

Too late, PUD-weiser... YOU F•CKED UP BIGTIME, ASSHOLES! That ad isn't going to help your $5 BILLION loss, for loving and promoting subhuman tranny filth. No one wants your pisswater, tranny beer crap! NO ONE! F•ck you, PUD-weiser. BTW, I ne34ver drank your crappy offerings, any way. When I do (seldom, these past years) drink beer, it's either Rolling Rock or Yuengling (America's oldest & best brewery), here in PA.

Once is bad luck. Twice is coincidence. Three times or more is enemy action.

With a massive stormfront moving-in from the southwest/west/northwest, and heavy cloud cover here, it got dark at 8:15p, so I closed-up, had a late dinner and watched "'Life, Liberty & Levin'" with Mark Levin, on Fox, and switched-over to Discovery+ for more "Gold Rush" episodes I hadn't seen. I'm up to season 12 of 13, now. By 10:45, I was beyond tired, took my evening 15-pill regimen -- minus the Lipitor® (Atorvastatin) -- and called it a day. Busy week ahead.

Up at 7:30a on Monday, to a sunny, almost-cloudless 52° morning. We had a small amount of rain. I had the AC on at 73°, and switched to heat for a short while, made coffee and tuned into the Chris Stigall Show until 9a, when the "Chris Plante Show" Live came on. I made a 2nd carafe of Kona Coffee with my old 'Coffee Fool' Turkish Grind Coffee, and it was good to drink that old, better favorite Kona, despite the problems I had with that company. No pain, so no painkiller pills. Day 6 of the No-Lipitor® dosage.

After breakfast, and my 19-pill morning regimen -- (minus Lipitor® (Atorvastatin)) -- I got ready for the day, and my doorbell rang. My neighbor "lost" her cellphone and asked me to keep calling the number, so she could "locate" it. That done, I kept listening to the "CP Show" until 12noon, left for the cleaners, down south in Red Lion, and a couple of other stops along the way. A full system back-up by Norton 360 Premium, auto-started at 9a, and I had to limit my activities on the computer.

Here the leftist-demonKKKrats go again. After hundreds of black, teen, knuckledragging thugs rampaged thru downtown on Saturday, doing lots of damage and hurting tourists, the idiot black mayor-elect, Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson warned against vilifying youth -- it's "acceptable" -- while condemning a chaotic "Teen Takeover" of the Loop district, over the weekend, which saw hundreds of "young people' (subhuman criminal filth) descend on the downtown area for two nights in a row. Think it's been bad when the sambette dwarf Lightfoot dyke was in charge? We haven't see nothing yet. It's going to be unlivable for anyone "normal". It's already worse than any city on the planet. More here, from Sunday.

We're all in God's Waiting Room; He just hasn't called us into His Office, yet.

Sooooooo, the CCP-Chinks are running a 36-person gov't police operation out of leftist/communist/Marxist/Socialist/anarchist shithole NYC, and the US Feds are just getting around to doing something about it? I've known about it, from reading articles, for many months. They sure act slowly, don't they? Round-up the CCP in the country, and deport their stinking commie asses. Better check SF and the Left Coast, FBI folks. It's full of CCP-Scum.

By 4:30, temps were dropping fast, from a nice, sunny 72° down to the mid-50s. I closed-up the condo's windows and screen doors, put-up the sliding stormglass panels, and turned-on the furnace to 74°. C-O-L-D, again, after 2 very nice days. After dinner, I watched the news, Watters and Carlson, and then some unseen episodes of last year's "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch", on History Channel. 11p came early, and I unplugged.

Up at 6a on Tuesday, with the alarm's help, it was a very cool 46°, overcast and very windy start to the day. JoAnne, my cleaning lady, would be here at 8:30, for her now every other week visit. I re-checked the AccuWeather.com maps, and it was snowing just to our west and northwest, in the State College and Pittsburgh areas, and some even closer to York County. Shit. The plants are all confused. By week's end, it's supposed to be near 90°. Go figger! Heh.

The sun finally appeared after the cloud cover abated to the northeast, but with the strong wind, the high for the day was only a very cool 56°; nothing to write home about. My 2022 Federal Income Tax Return arrived in my WF Checking Account; still waiting for the 2022 State Income Tax Return. First time in 9-10yrs, that I've gotten any of my money back from those corrupt demonKKKrat-run bureaucracies. I did paperwork, and as the temps dropped into the upper-40s, I abandoned the back patio, fired-up the garage heater, and smoked in it.

After dinner, I took my pill regimen, tried to figure out whether to go to the Wellspan Stony Brook Labs to get bloodwork done -- fasting required -- in the morning and then go food shopping, or wait until Thursday or Friday to get the Labs done. I watched the news, more episodes of "Gold Rush" on Discovery+, and called it a night at 11:30p.

Up at 8a on Wednesday at 8a, to a downright cold 42°, I fired-up the furnace, made BLACK Kona Coffee -- I'm fasting 10-12hrs for lab work around 10a -- and tried to get warm. I drank 3 mugs of black coffee, left for the Stony Brook Labs at 9:45, checked-in and was out by 10:05a. 4 vials of blood, for 11 tests. The Techs are so good and fast. I got home, made another carafe of Kona, and enjoyed it with Rutter's Half & Half, before reviewing my short list for food shopping at Weis Market. I had 2 croissants for breakfast, took my 19-pill regimen, and left at 11:30, for Rite Aid and Weis Market.

My last Fall's order of Helleborus Ice N' Roses Red finally arrived from Bluestone Perennials, and I opened it up, for some fresh air, and set the 2 quart pots on the front porch with the 3 Stella D'Oro Daylily seedlings, and water them all. I'll get them install over the coming weekend.

Back home by 1:30p, I unloaded and unpacked, and got all the stuff put away, and cleaned-out the 'fridge of week-old meats etc. I tuned into "Bonehead Bongino" on WMAL-DC, relaxed, had some lunch and, with no breakfast mini-croissants at Weis, I'll have to eat toast and eggs. Yum. Temps were up to 70° by now, and I opened-up the condo to get the fresh air. I finished off the last of the Kona Coffee, while relaxing in my office-sunroom and outside on the patio, just outside my office door. I had Ricotta-stuffed Shells and Rye-Pumpernickel Swirl bread -- very good! (H/T Sherry) -- for lunch, and started to get sleepy, by 2:30p. I spent some time relaxing on the patio, listening to "Bonehead Bongino" thru the screen door panel.

After dinner, I started getting some of my Lab Test results: no good that my a!C went from 7.2 to 8.0, in a year. The other tests, I can't really decipher. My RN-NP will do that next Tuesday at the Wellspan Cardiology Center, at Apple Hill Medical Center. I caught the 6p news, and then switched to the Season 12 of 13, of "Gold Rush", until 11:30p. Lights out.

Finally awake and up at 8:30a on Thursday, I turned-up the heat, made coffee, had a smoke, fired-up the desktop and scanned the weather and news. I noticed this on all local websites and local Fox TV:

*** WILDFIRE -- RED FLAG WARNING ***
• Thursday 3:30 AM
• ELEVATED RISK OF WILDFIRE GROWTH AND SPREAD TODAY:
• A combination of dry and breezy conditions this afternoon will create an elevated risk of wildfire spread across all of Central Pennsylvania.
• Minimum relative humidity values this afternoon will range from 20 to 30 percent. Wind gusts should be generally 15 mph or less today, which would limit the potential for rapid spread of any wildfires that develop on flatter terrain.
• The greatest threat for more rapid spread today will be on the steeper, south-facing slopes of the ridges. These locations will experience the greatest warming and drying of fuels and leaf litter from the most direct sunshine and exposure to the southerly breeze.
• Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If dry grasses and tree litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly.
• The threat for more rapid wildfire spread appears to increase on Friday as the south to southwest breeze freshens by 5 to 10 mph.
• For more information about wildfire danger and wildfire prevention and education, please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources website at http://dcnr.pa.gov/Communities/Wildfire.
• Issued By State College (Penn State) -- PA, US, National Weather Service.

Swell. At least I don't have the 20ac Nursery, Garden Center & LSCP Contracting Operation anymore, so I don't have to worry about fires at my business. No problems around here, that I'm aware of. April's been an extremely dry month. My morning Kona Coffee was excellent, and woke me right up. I tuned into the "CP Show" at 9, got ready for the day and checked my day's "to-do list"; clear. It was a nice, cool 54°, so I shed my lush, warm Turkish Bathrobe, and just wore gym shorts and my Ol' GC&N T-Shirt w/ embroidered logo. (I still have 15-20 of them left, and wear one everyday.)

Why is our world so f•cked-up? The wheels are coming off. The screwed-up mess of transgenderism shit, intentional race problems caused by our corrupt media and well-known race-baiters, everything is racisdt, like roads(?), female crash dummies, US-instigated wars caused by the Military Industrial Complex, pison terms for using the 1st Amendment to express your opinions, child gender dysphoria caused by societal and political perverts and teacher degenerates, and so much more. It the demonKKKrats causing 99% of this crap. All I see, hear and read is all about that deviant crap. I wan t *News* and *Articles*, not the degenerate stories, everyday. I'm past sick of it; WAY past angry about it. But the Leftists/Socialists/Communists/Marxists/Anarchists in the corrupt, DNC-owned media, put it all on Page One -- websites and newspapers -- daily.

Meanwhile, the hate-America elites allow the wide-open southern border to let thousands of young CCP-Chinese men -- of military ag -- thru, and prepare for acts of terrorism and war, against America's "soft targets" -- nursaing homes, offices, strip malls, shopping centers, medical facilities, federal & county courthouses, and on and on. Muslims(SPIT!) have also come across by the tens-of-thousands, too, and are preparing for acts of terrorism that, when combined with what the CCP-invaders will do, will make 911 seem a walk in the park, with your dog. Get ready for it to happen.

High for the day was a sunny, dry 81°; no rain until Saturday. I'm tired of the *Red Flag Warnings* -- April is supposed to be a rainy month. "April showers bring May flowers." I have my under-the-mulch Drip Irrigation System programmed and running every morning from 1-2am. The back patio's small gardens can be hand watered, but nothing is suffering or dry. Everything is doing just fine, thankyouverymuch.

Artificial Intelligence, or AI, has recently been in the news. AI is a computer or computer-controlled robot that can perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. The term "artificial intelligence" is frequently applied to projects developing machines with the intellectual processes characteristic of humans, such as the ability to reason, discover meaning, generalize, or learn from experience. AI technologies will immensely influence how we live and interact with others. The danger with the artificial intelligence of computers is their artificial wisdom. A computer can be programmed by moral and ethical human beings with the best intentions, but the tiniest mistake can result in unexpected results. Unfortunately, not all programmers have the best intentions or make the perfect choices. Computers with AI are on their way to driving our cars, flying our jets, doing our research, and planning our menus…the goal of AI is to make us more dependent on them than we ever were on the government. AI's endgame is to be better at being human than we are. But better at what? Who will tell them "No"? Who will punish them when they exceed their boundaries? Who will they turn to for wisdom? No one. Computers don't have Bibles. They have flawed human programmers who need to be brighter than their creations. But that's not the idea of AI. There is nothing to keep AI in check. At some point, AI's morals and ethics will conflict with ours. Intelligence encompasses empathy, sympathy, remorse, caring, compassion, faith, judgment, and wisdom. Natural wisdom (which created the Bible and our Constitution) keeps natural intelligence in check -- at least, it has in the past. When AI comes up, I think about how stupid machines can be. Robots and drones don't know when they screw up. They don't feel anything when they mistakenly kill people. It's one thing to be smart. It's another to be wise. Aritificial Intelligence. The name alone should scare the hell out of you.

The weekend "Bonehead Bongino 'Unfiltered' Show" on Fox News, is gone. I think I watched part of it, once. No loss.

By 3:30p, I was asleep on the LR couch, until 5:30. Nice nap. I had Cheese Ravioli with Marinara Sauce and Spiral Past Salads for dinner, watched the new, Jesse & Tucker, and switch (natch) over to "Gold Rush" Season 11. I decided to sleep-in tomorrow, and will walk with Sherry either at the Park or The York Galleria, depending on the weather... without hip pain and on my "new legs". I unplugged at 11:30p.

Tomorrow starts a new week here in the "Journal", and I have 2 Drs' app'ts, with 3 free days.

TUCKER CARLSON: Telling the truth is the only real sin in Washington.

The government is lying to you.

For the past 14 months, you have heard two main things about the war in Ukraine. The first is that the war in Ukraine is a war of national sovereignty. It is not a proxy battle between superpowers. Russia invaded Ukraine. That was immoral. The United States supports Ukraine because the United States supports democracy, but the United States itself is not at war with Russia. This is Ukraine's war to fight.

The second thing we have heard over and over again is that Ukraine is winning that war. Ukrainian troops are brave and noble. Russian troops are evil and incompetent. The Ukrainians are beating the Russians. In the end, their victory is inevitable. Now, you're very familiar with these points because you have heard them every day since last February. You've heard them repeated by every power center in the United States, the Pentagon, the White House, the leaders of both parties in Congress, CEOs and celebrities and most insistently of all, you've heard them from virtually every single outlet along the entire spectrum of our national news media.

These are the two essential themes of the war in Ukraine and both of them are lies. We know that they're lies because late last week, leaked intelligence about the war in Ukraine began to appear on social media. Briefing slides prepared by the U.S. government begin to show up, among other places, on Twitter, and the slide show that this is in fact not Ukraine's war. It's our war. The United States is a direct combatant in a war against Russia. As we speak, American soldiers are fighting Russian soldiers.

So, this is not a regional conflict in Eastern Europe. This is a hot war between the two primary nuclear superpowers on Earth and yet this war has never been formally declared.  It has not been authorized by Congress and for that reason, this war is a violation of American law. It is a crime. The second thing we learn from these slides is that despite direct U.S. involvement, Ukraine is in fact losing the war. Seven Ukrainians are being killed for every Russian. Ukrainian air defenses have been utterly degraded. Ukraine is losing.

The Biden administration is perfectly aware of this. They're panicked about it, but they have lied about this fact to the public. Just two weeks ago, for example, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told the U.S. Senate that Russian military power is "waning." In other words, Russia is losing the war. That was a lie. He knew it was when he said it, but he repeated it in congressional testimony. That is a crime, but Lloyd Austin has not been arrested for committing that crime. Instead, the only man who has been taken into custody or likely ever will be is a 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guardsman who leaked the slides that showed that Lloyd Austin was lying. He revealed the crimes, therefore he's the criminal.

That's how Washington works. Telling the truth is the only real sin. Now our news media exist and have constitutional protection precisely in order to push back against this grotesque standard. Their only job is to tell the truth and yet tonight, the news media are celebrating the capture of the kid who told Americans what's actually happening in Ukraine. They are treating him like Osama bin Laden. Maybe a little worse, actually, because unlike al-Qaeda, apparently this kid is a racist.

Here's CNN.   US SPECIAL FORCES IN UKRAINE AT EMBASSY, OFFICIAL CONFIRMS, AS PENTAGON DOCUMENT LEAK PROBE HEATS UP

WOLF BLITZER: The Washington Post, as you know, reviewed video of this suspect yelling racial and anti-Semitic slurs.
JOSH CAMPBELL: Is this a dangerous person? This Air Guardsman who's now been taken into custody, had talked about being a gun enthusiast, had been at gun ranges. He's obviously a member of the military.
RET. LT. GEN. MARK HERTLING: And he's the big guy in the scene. Somehow, he has access to this kind of information, and that makes him even larger.
GLENN GERSTELL: The person who thinks they know better than everyone else, they're smarter than everyone else in their view.
ANCHOR: And this is a 21-year-old man. He is described as a gun enthusiast. Feels like in some of these descriptions, somebody who's maybe hungry for power.

So, this 21-year-old Air National Guardsman from Massachusetts is not a whistleblower, CNN explains, with the help of the many intelligence agency figures, it has now hired as analysts. No, he's not a whistleblower. He's a criminal because he is —- unlike the people who run our government —- "hungry for power" and because this 21-year-old was so hungry for power, federal law enforcement had to swing into action with unfamiliar speed and efficiency and apprehend him. He was that threatening. Now, keep in mind, as we still don't know where Jeffrey Epstein got hundreds of millions of dollars, we have no idea. Nor do we know what he did for a living. We don't know who left pipe bombs on Capitol Hill on January 6, two of them.

We don't know who leaked the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. We can't even say for certain who killed the president of the United States because after 60 years, the Biden administration is still hiding thousands of pages of classified documents from the Kennedy assassination, just as they are hiding more than a billion other classified documents, but tonight, we can say for dead certain who embarrassed Toria Nuland and Joe Biden, and that kid is going to jail for a long, long time. That's the standard. The media are fine with that standard. Watch this remarkable exchange on Monday of this week between the White House press corps and Biden flack John Kirby.

JOHN KIRBY: Without confirming the validity of the documents, this is information that has no business in the public domain. It has no business, if you don't mind me saying, on the pages of a, front pages of newspapers or on television. It is not intended for public consumption and it should not be out there.   So, the fact that U.S. soldiers are fighting Russian soldiers in a war in Ukraine has no business in the public domain. The fact that the country we are backing and fighting alongside is losing, not winning, has no business in the public domain. You have no right to know what your government is doing in your name with your tax dollars and with the future of your children and grandchildren. You have no right to know —- shut up and stop asking relevant questions.   "OK," said the media, and if you want to get really sick to your stomach, go pull a transcript from the Pentagon briefing today, where news reporters asked flacks from the Pentagon, "What are we going to do to keep information like this secret in the future?" Not one question about the substance of the information. We're fighting a war against Russia directly? Really? Don't have the largest nuclear arsenal in the world? Not one question. "How can we help you keep it secret?" Those were the questions, and not only are the media covering up the substance of the story, which is not who leaked it, but what he leaked, they're covering up the crimes committed to get you this information.

The administration apparently used illegal surveillance techniques to identify this kid, apparently with the help of The Washington Post and The New York Times, who are its accomplices. They are not holding government accountable. They're helping government keep you from knowing what government is doing. Today, The Washington Post reported it exclusively obtained some of the classified documents this leaker possessed. "The Post also reviewed approximately 300 photos of classified documents, most of which have not been made public. Some of the text documents, the leaker is said to have written out."

So, we've got two problems here. If it's legal to see these documents, if you don't have security clearance, how is The Washington Post doing this legally? They don't have a security clearance. Well, obviously, they were given them by the U.S. intel agencies and are working alongside them, but the bigger problem is this is information that's relevant to the public in a so-called democracy. You can't lie about things that jeopardize our collective future and get away with it, and you certainly shouldn't be doing that with the assistance of the news media. The news media, whose job it is to inform you of what your government is doing, but instead they are working actively late into the night to lie to you on behalf of their masters in permanent Washington.

By the way, just last week, the plan was to lie in an even more grotesque way and blame Russia for this and we're quoting: "Russia or pro-Russian elements are likely behind the leak of several classified U.S. military documents posted on social media that offer a partial, month-old snapshot of the war in Ukraine, three U.S. officials told Reuters on Friday." Really? Who are these officials who lied to Reuters? Then Reuters just, of course, obediently reprinted their lies, as they always do.   News agencies print what they are told to print by the intel agencies no matter how ridiculous it is, no matter how much dignity and self-respect they exchange in return for doing it. So, what's happening to this leaker now is what happens to anyone who contradicts the national security state and their obedient servants in the media. You go to prison so the media can continue to tell you lies. Here's MSNBC, for example, assuring its viewers that everything is just fine.   MALCOLM NANCE, MSNBC: What the Russians didn't understand was that they were going into the lion's den. That kind of what we would say in the military, this force multiplier, made the Ukrainian army quite literally unbeatable. They are winning. Russia is going to lose this war.

Every last person has said exactly what Malcolm just said. They're going to win this war. It's not a matter of if, but when.

Fourteen months in, they are simultaneously telling you that Ukraine's victory is inevitable, mostly because of the moral power they possess, but at the same time, you need to send tens or hundreds of billions of dollars more in advanced weapons systems to Ukraine to keep them from losing. What will they say now that we know the truth and that we know that they lied to us, not just the U.S. government, but the U.S. news media?  ",

Zelensky and his Generals may have embezzled $400M from U.S. aid

Just yesterday, veteran journalist Seymour Hersh, made a bombshell revelation again on Substack about the war in Ukraine.

We know that the US Government appropriated more than $112bn of taxpayers' funds for the war in Ukraine in 2022 alone. Perhaps a lot more has been unofficially dispatched.

Last May, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) demanded that accountability measures be included to ensure that the funds are spent appropriately.  It is stunning that such an obvious provision needed to be demanded; one would have assumed that they would be built in.  The appalling record of corruption in the US under Biden and in Ukraine makes oversight essential.

If the lawmakers really cared for the welfare of the Ukrainian people, they would have unanimously sided with Senator Paul to ensure that the fund reached the proper destinations.  Instead, Paul received little support among lawmakers from either party.   Senate Minority Leader Mitch  McConnell dismissed Paul as a “tiny percentage” of “isolationist” Senate Republicans.”

The duration of this war is directly proportional to the amounts that can be embezzled.

Consequently, D.C. has purposefully excluded any tracking of the billions dispatched to Ukraine.

This meant taxpayers' funds could be spent wherever they desired, and citizens will never know about this possible criminal wastage of their funds.

We are learning how this lack of accountability is being exploited.

Seymour Hersh has claimed that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has been using these US taxpayers’ funds to pay for the vitally needed diesel fuel that is keeping the Ukrainian army on the move in its war with Russia.

Transportation usually occurs in armored vehicles for which fuel consumption is high.  It remains unclear how much the Zelensky government is paying per gallon for fuel.  In the past, the Pentagon paid nearly $400 per gallon to transport gasoline from Pakistani ports, via truck or parachute drop, into Afghanistan during the decades-long war in that country.

An unnamed US intelligence official made a shocking revelation to Hersh that Zelensky has been procuring fuel from none other than Russia, the very country it claims to be fighting on the ground.

Why Russia?

Because the fuel is cheaper, and it enables Zelensky and his officials to skim the remaining untold amount earmarked for diesel fuel payments.

Perhaps the sale occurs via a third party?

In also means that Ukrainian officials could be funding their adversaries in the war.

Hersh revealed an estimate by analysts from the CIA that placed the embezzled funds at around $400 million.  Another expert compared the level of corruption in Kyiv to approaching that of the Afghan war, “although there will be no professional audit reports emerging from Ukraine.”

Hersh revealed that Ukrainian government ministries in Kyiv are setting up front companies for export contracts for weapons and ammunition with private arms dealers around the world, all of which provide kickbacks.

Many of those companies are thought to be based in Poland, Czechia, the Persian Gulf, and Israel.  An expert in international trade told Hersh that he “wouldn’t be surprised to learn that there are others in places like the Cayman Islands and Panama" where lots of Americans are involved.

The issue of corruption was directly raised with Zelensky during a meeting last January in Kyiv with CIA Director William Burns who presented Zelensky with a list of “thirty-five generals and senior officials whose corruption was known to the CIA and others in the American government.”

Zelensky responded ten days later by publicly dismissing ten of the most ostentatious officials on the list and doing little else.  They were probably dismissed not for their corruption but for making a vulgar display of their loot.   An intelligence official told Hersh “The ten he got rid of were brazenly bragging about the money they had—driving around Kyiv in their new Mercedes….”

It was also reported that top generals and government officials in Kyiv were furious at what they saw as Zelensky’s greed.  Burns told Zelensky it was because “he was taking a larger share of the skim money that was going to the generals.”

This isn’t just corruption but a competition of corruption.

But it shouldn't be a surprise; even prior to the war corruption and cronyism were widespread and systemic in Ukraine.  Shady malefactors such as the Bidens traveled to Ukraine to strike shady deals with dubious oligarchs in Ukraine to enrich themselves.  They knew corrupt Ukrainian officials merely look the other way in exchange for inducements.

Zelensky, despite no background in politics, won the presidential election in 2019 from a campaign that was allegedly bankrolled by one of Ukraine’s richest — and most corrupt — oligarchs, Igor Kolomoisky.  Kolomoisky's record was so appalling that even the US Government banned him from entry into the country, citing “significant corruption” and his using his “influence and power for his personal benefit” as reasons.

Upon being elected, Zelensky passed ‘tough’ anti-oligarch laws, which on the surface seemed like an anti-corruption move, but in reality, the laws were used to target both Zelensky’s and Kolomoisky’s challengers and adversaries.

There is more bad news apart from the corruption.  Hersh also claimed that the US government blew up the Nord Stream pipelines.  Hersh quoted an unnamed intelligence official who said that the sabotage of the pipelines and lack of strategic planning about Ukrainian conflict had caused a mounting rift between the White House and the intelligence community.  The official claimed that the White House lacks clarity on its policy in Ukraine while the Pentagon is somewhat optimistically preparing for an end to the conflict.

A recent trove of leaked classified documents revealed a lack of unity among US allies fighting the Ukraine war. Also that 14 American troops have been secretly deployed to Ukraine and are direct combatants in the war, contrary to claims made by US officials.

The leak also revealed that the Ukrainian army, contrary to media reports, may be on the verge of losing the war due to the death of combatants, depletion of weaponry, and failure of air defenses.  Other reports revealed that the Ukrainian conflict had attracted over 20 thousand foreign fighters from all over the world. These unvetted ‘fighters’ could pilfer the advanced weaponry for other use or sell them in the black market to nefarious forces.

The president of Nigeria revealed that weapons from Ukraine are ending up in Nigeria, and Finnish media reported that criminal organizations could be trafficking weapons from Ukraine to the US or various EU nations.

It appears that exceptionally inept and the exceedingly crooked people are running this show; hence the outcome will be nothing short of a disaster.  This chaos and corruption would never have occurred if the US had independent government watchdog agencies and an objective questioning news media.  Alas, those who should have functioned as watchdogs have become tail-wagging lapdogs who are willing to surrender in return for a figurative cookie.

This could be a scandal of epic proportions -- billions are being directed to a losing war and millions are ending up in the pockets of corrupt Ukrainian officials and possibly even US officials.  The duration of this war is directly proportional to the amounts that can be embezzled.

The risk is that we are being led into World War III which will end with the extinction of the human race.

The 21 Year Old Leaker —- Something Is Not Right.

The media obsession in vilifying Jack Texeira for “leaking” TOP SECRET and SECRET documents and judging him guilty without any benefit of doubt, is just another symptom of the authoritarian fever that grips many inhabitants of the United States. Forget the first amendment. Stay in the dark and trust the Government to tell you what you need to know. Before you join the mob eager to lynch the poor kid, let me share what some of my friends who are veterans of the CIA and the Air Force have said about this affair in the past few days.

Both men say that the story and alleged facts smell to high heaven. One longtime buddy, a veteran of the CIA, still provides consulting services to the U.S. Government and holds the same high clearances that he had prior to his retirement. He is an experienced operations officer. He has recruited foreigners to spy on behalf of the United States, managed highly classified programs and planned and executed many covert actions. In other words, he is no desk jockey.

We started working together 18 years ago in providing training support to a variety of military commands by writing and executing military exercises. All of our work was conducted in a SCIF and we had the clearances that gave us access to TOP SECRET, COMPARTMENTED INTELLIGENCE. I stopped doing that work five years ago but he has continued on.

During our 18 years of working on these highly classified exercises we have never seen a E3 (i.e., an Airman First Class) anywhere in the SCIF. The enlisted personnel who worked on these TOP SECRET exercises were at least a Staff Sergeant (E5). So what is a lowly E3 doing in a SCIF with TOP SECRET material and no supervision? That is the first red flag.

Another red flag, as I noted in my previous piece, is the partial copy of the CIA Operations Center Intelligence Report. Both of us have had access to CIA systems available on the military servers and we have never seen the CIA Ops Center report on any of those systems. Never! How did this 21 year old kid get his hands on that?

I was chatting today with another friend. He’s of more recent vintage. I discovered he is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and that his last job with the Air Force was the inspection, certification and monitoring of Air Force SCIFs. Wow! Talk about serendipity. I asked him what he thought of the story the media is hard selling about the 21 year old with a trove of TS leaked documents? He told me, “It does not make sense.”.

He made the same points as my CIA buddy — how does a 21 year old E3 have this kind of access? My retired Colonel never saw it during his career. He told me, “At most, kids this age, might have a SECRET clearance.”

He also made the same observation that I raised in my previous piece on this incident — where the hell was this airman’s chain of command? A lowly E3 is not going to have unfettered access to a SCIF and will always have at least one senior commander (NCO or Officer) present to tell him what to do and to monitor his work.

Something is askew with the media story being presented to the World about the boy who posted the leak on the gamer chat board. The documents are not randomly selected. If the intent was to post classified information in order to impress a bunch of teenage gamers then why is the bulk of the material only about the war in Ukraine?

Finally, we are told, according to the Washington Post, that there are 300 documents. Really? Where are they? I have only been able to find roughly 18 documents. Have any of your seen the 100 pages that the media insists were posted to the web? That discrepancy alone raises another big red flag for me. Why was the Washington Post allowed to read/see 300 highly classified documents? The Post reporters do not hold security clearances. But it is okay for them to review those documents.

One of the major revelations from this leaking incident is that most of the press in the United States have rejected the fundamental mission of the media — expose truths the Government wants to hide from the public. What a volte face!! Fifty years ago the New York Times and the Washington Post led the way in defying the Nixon Adminstration’s effort to quash the publication of the highly classified Pentagon Papers. Those documents revealed that the U.S. Government, under both Republican and Democrat Presidents, lied to the American public about the war in Vietnam. And today? Those two media outlets enthusiastically helping the U.S. Government identify the leaker and smear him in the process. So much for the viability of the First Amendment.

[JS: At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy is an AI/Deep Fake, and there is no real person behind the leak at all.]

Exclusive —- Kash Patel Questions Emerging Narrative on Pentagon Leaks: ‘This Is an Extensive Cover-Up’.

Kash Patel, former chief of staff at the Pentagon and former deputy director of National Intelligence, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Friday, questioned the evolving narrative over the Pentagon leaks — specifically that a 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guard reservist acted alone to leak top secret military data.

Patel, a former federal prosecutor, said he does not believe “for a single second, this guy — a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman — ran this operation alone.”

Patel said, first, the suspected leaker, Jack Teixeira, would not have had access to the information without someone within the Department of Defense (DOD) or the intelligence community giving it to him, providing it to him, or telling him it should be put out there. “It’s just not possible,” he said.

He said even though he worked in information technology (IT), he still would not have had access to the information.

“You can be the biggest IT person in DOD, and you are still compartmented off of the actual information. Almost never does an IT person need to know, as we say, the substance of the intelligence. Their job is to provide the secure informations systems around it to protect any disclosures,” he said.

“This is crazy sensitive stuff,” he said. “Ninety-nine percent of people who have a Top Secret/SCI clearance don’t have access to this information. And me, as the former deputy DNI and chief of staff of the DOD and publisher of the [Presidential Daily Brief], with the highest security classification, knows that, literally, there is not a lot of people in the U.S. that have access to this kind of intel. It’s done for a reason. So this doesn’t happen.”

Patel said while the Joint Chief of Staff’s daily brief produced by its Directorate of Intelligence (J2) goes out to thousands of people, there is underlying contributing information that is compartmented and goes to fewer people. “The underlying intel — that’s very sensitive because it exposes how we got it, who we got it from, when we got it, and whether we can get it again, how is that delivered,” he said.

The Air Force confirmed to Breitbart News that Teixeira is Airman First Class, which is the third lowest enlisted rank in the Air Force and is a “cyber transport systems journeyman,” which is essentially an IT technician. He entered the Air National Guard in September 26, 2019. He is based at the Otis Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts.

Second, Patel said the way the classified information was put out suggests Teixeira did not act alone.

“Whether he’s in IT or not, is irrelevant. The way it was produced, the way it was put out there — pages, printed photographs taken, published online — that is a methodical way of releasing classified information illegally,” he said.

“I think he’s definitely working with other people in DOD or the intel space to get this information out. This is an Assange-style operation. This kid — no offense to him — at 21 years old, cannot put out this five-months, unlawful disclosure of sensitive intelligence,” he said.

Julian Assange speaks to the media from the balcony of the Embassy Of Ecuador on May 19, 2017 in London, England. Julian Assange, founder of the Wikileaks website that published US Government secrets, has been wanted in Sweden on charges of rape since 2012. He sought asylum in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London and today police have said he will still face arrest if he leaves. (Photo by Jack Taylor/Getty Images) Julian Assange, founder of the WikiLeaks website, speaks to the media from the balcony of the Embassy of Ecuador on May 19, 2017, in London, England (Photo by Jack Taylor/Getty Images).

Patel said the tradecraft around the way the leaks are being disclosed also suggests a cover-up of how damaging the leaks are.

“I think the DOD and the [intelligence community] gave it to [the New York Times and the Washington Post],” he said. “They’re giving it to them to say we need, you know, we needed a cover-up. We need to make sure people think Ukraine’s working, we need to make it seem like it’s one rogue 21-year-old actor in some airbase in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.”

“The amount of intelligence they got…Somebody’s giving them that type of documentation. It’s just not readily available,” he said about the reporting. “Where did they get that from? That doesn’t come from anyone who doesn’t have direct access at the end in the United States.”

“That the New York Times and Washington Post ‘broke’ this story, that also leads me to believe it’s the same tradecraft from Russiagate, that when deep state actors want stuff out there, they put it out to their sources,” he said. “Am I to believe that these two newspapers found this guy out first, before the FBI? That’s absurd. That’s the timeline we’re being told. So now, we have better investigators at the New York Times and the Washington Post than in the FBI?”

“This is an extensive cover-up,” Patel said of Teixeira’s arrest. “It’s going to go on for some time, and they needed a quick victory. This kid should be prosecuted, no questions asked, no questions about it in my mind — he broke the law and needs to be prosecuted.”

But, he said, “It’s a CYA operation, for sure. Because we haven’t gotten to the worst of it. We’re not there yet. There’s more stuff. And you know, there’s probably more stuff floating around in these chat rooms and whatnot, but they want to talk about him, the kid, and not the [verified intelligence].”

He said the intelligence shows that the Pentagon and President Joe Biden have been lying to the American people about how well the Ukraine War was doing.

“I think the substance of the intel…it says basically, our effort in the Ukraine, our $100 billion effort, is failing,” he said.

“And I think that’s why this has ignited such a firestorm in DOD–because they’ve been exposed and no one’s had any answers. So I don’t know if Congress is going to act, but the Gang of Eight, the Armed Services Committee, and possibly even Intel Committees need to jump in on this,” he said.

“Why hasn’t the Armed Services Committee subpoenaed [Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley] and [Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin] and demanded an answer under oath as to why they have been lying to the President of the United States, or permitted him to lie on the success and failure of our operations in Ukraine, who we have there, and how much money we’re spending there? Because they’ve been telling us for months and months and months that we’re on the verge of beating Putin,” he said.

“Why wasn’t this intelligence briefed to these members in Congress who are supposed to oversee our highest levels of intelligence? And if they were told it, it’s an even bigger problem because it clearly shows the U.S. position in the Ukraine failing,” he said.

Crime Killed a Quarter of a Million Black People.

And the racist pro-crime Left wants more.

Over the last decade, BLM, and assorted leftist and libertarian groups dismantled our criminal justice system. Police forces were defunded, pro-crime prosecutors refused to lock up criminals, federal and state prison systems released tens of thousands of them, and a wave of legislative decriminalization legalized everything from shoplifting, to drug dealing and mugging.

The pro-crime policymaking that eliminated public safety and cost over 3,000 lives in 2020 alone was done under the guise of fighting racism. Statistics which showed that black people were more likely to be arrested, imprisoned or shot during criminal encounters with police were used to spread conspiracy theories falsely accusing the criminal justice system of systemic racism.

What all of these racist conspiracy theories popularized by politicians, the media, and the entertainment industry ignored was that black people were also far more likely to be crime victims. Even as the BLM riots got underway, black people in surveys were strongly opposed to police defunding. The opposition was so vehement that Democrats not only abandoned the issue, but claimed that they had always been opposed to it and ran against their own position.

Despite years of false claims portraying black people as victims of a biased criminal justice system whose police forces are descended from “slave catchers” who repress minorities at the behest of white suburbanites, surveys of black people continue to tell a very different story.

A Pew survey found that while only 33% of white Democrats wanted to reduce crime, 63% of Hispanics and 66% of black people thought that fighting crime should be a priority.

And that’s nothing new.

Leftists and libertarians lied that the War on Drugs was racist when it was actually pushed by black groups, including the NAACP, which demanded the death penalty for drug dealers.

That same Pew survey showed that while only 38% of white Dems answered that reducing the availability of illegal drugs should be a priority, 57% of Hispanics and 60% of black people believed that it should be.

Now a Kaiser Family Foundation survey shows that black people are far more likely to suffer from crime than white people. The survey, meant to generate support for unconstitutional gun ban measures, instead unintentionally demonstrated that crime hurts black people more.

The KFF survey noted that “three in ten black adults (31%) have personally witnessed someone being shot”, “one-third of black adults (34%) have a family member who was killed by a gun” and (32%) say that they worry all the time about themselves or a family member being shot.

One in six of black adults say they don’t feel “safe at all” from gun violence in their neighborhood, compared to 2% of white adults. 1 in 4 also bought a gun to protect themselves.

Gun violence is just another way of saying crime.

Black people are disproportionately affected by crime. Pro-crime policies led to the deaths of an additional 2,244 black people in 2020. According to a Johns Hopkins report, “in 2020, one out of every 1,000 young black males (15–34) was shot and killed” and, “more than half of all black teens (15–19) who died in 2020—a staggering 52%—were killed by gun violence.”

CDC numbers showed that homicide is a leading cause of death among black men under the age of 20, and from the ages of 20 to 44. White men are killed by guns at the rate of 3.15 per 100,000 while black men die at the rate of 48.16 per 100,000. Pro-crime policies increase crime and kill thousands of black people. That’s what a real disproportionate impact looks like.

Every time pro-crime politicians free criminals, pro-crime prosecutors refuse to prosecute violent offenders, and legislatures eliminate bail, the impact is felt most strongly in the black community.

Law enforcement isn’t racist, but getting rid of it is. When a community depends more on a particular service, losing it has a clear disproportionate impact. Keeping the peace, arresting offenders and dispensing justice is one of the few primal duties of government. The breach in the social contract when the government fails to provide peacekeeping services is devastating.

Most crimes are committed by repeat offenders. The only way to interrupt the cycle of violence is to lock them up. Successful tough on crime policies in the 90s made cities safe once again and led to an economic boom in inner cities. Manhattan’s Harlem went from a danger zone to hosting Bill Clinton’s office, but in 2022, crime increased 44%. The Clinton offices have mostly moved down to the Wall Street area, but where they remain in Central Harlem, crime is up 32%. Next door in West Harlem, it’s up 133%. That means Bill is less likely to tour the Apollo Theater, but it also means that the mostly black residents are the ones feeling the worst of it.

Pro-crime activists have spent years regaling us with the suffering of convicts while caring very little about the shattered lives they have left in their wake. Foundations, protest groups, activist organizations and even PACs have spent hundreds of millions lobbying for criminals, fighting for their release and remaking our system to favor perpetrators, not victims. Their political success has come with a very high cost. And much of that burden has fallen on black people.

It is hard to think of any single policy in the last generation that has done more harm to black people or claimed more lives than the pro-crime agenda. Pro-crime activists have falsely claimed that police shootings of black men are a form of genocide. They’re not. Crime is.

One study counted 286,075 firearm deaths among black people from 1990 to 2021. That’s over a quarter of a million deaths. Some of them are due to suicide, but suicides are much lower among black people than white people, and the majority of black gun deaths were homicides.

And seeing a quarter of a million deaths, the pro-crime Left wants even more bodies.

Those quarter of a million deaths have been largely self-inflicted, but, much as with the welfare state, they were aided and abetted by white liberal policymakers who had come to believe that what the black community really needed was for the government to enable its criminals.

Racist liberal condescension continues to destroy black communities, families and lives.

2020 demonstrated that tough on crime policies can save thousands of black lives and, over time, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of black lives. Pro-crime policies are a racist disaster which reduced black people to criminals and then set out to free criminals to help black people.

That’s why 1 out of every 1,000 young black men are dead.

Pro-crime policies are racist. They enable a crime epidemic that has killed more black people than the total number of battlefield casualties for all races in the Civil War. More black people died in the year of Black Lives Matter than our entire death toll in the Iraq War.

Can it get worse than this? In 1991, 12,226 black people were murdered. For the first time, more black people were killed than white people. The numbers are trending that way once again. While the Left claims that highways and dress codes are systemically racist, their pro-crime policies are a racist program that promises liberation but offers only mass death.
