this is still our country
friday, august 9th, 2024
It is a crazy time to be alive. We have economic uncertainty, threats of war, political violence, and social turmoil. An assassin nearly took President Trump’s life. Puppet President Biden has been recycled for a younger model. The Olympic Games openly mocks Christianity and celebrates transvestitism. The EU, Russia, China, Iran, Israel, and the U.S. are all tiptoeing toward a little nuclear tête-à-tête. Apprehension saturates the air.
Still, if you were a time-traveler from the future surveying the world as it unfolds today, you might whisper, “What an amazing time to be alive.” That is a luxury that those who look back through history often enjoy. Those living through chaos rarely write about trying times as marvelous adventures. They are too busy struggling to survive.
I do not wish to minimize the struggles that we will continue to experience, but I do want to take a small step back and recognize this moment for what it is: a hinge on the door of history opening up a new era for humanity. The hallway we’ve been walking down for many decades has come to an end. The door before us is shaking loudly as we fight for what reality will take shape on the other side. Our situation is perilous and consequential.
Future generations — buttressed by a misguided belief that their world was always foreordained — will dream about having been alive in our time, just as many of us have contemplated what it would have been like to fight in the trenches of WWI, endure the volatile interwar period, or beat back totalitarianism in the mid-twentieth century. Ours is not an easy time...but it is one ripe with significance.
Is this a contest between communism and capitalism? Is it a war between West and East? Is it a clash of civilizations, cultures, religions, and traditional beliefs? It is all of that and more. At its heart, the revolution that is picking up speed throughout the world centers on one essential conflict: state supremacy versus individual freedom.
The war that has already begun is the mechanism for answering a straightforward question: how much liberty will each of us be “allowed” to possess, and how much control will governments maintain over their respective populations? As with all wars, this one concerns the exercise and retention of power. Somewhat uniquely, however, our war will decide whether we individual humans are ultimately sovereign arbiters over the direction of our personal lives, or whether we are disposable cogs in an all-powerful government machine.
This war is not debated on the nightly news. It is not the storyline of the next big hit on Netflix. The publishing industry does its best to censor and blacklist any authors asking probing questions regarding the war’s numerous engagements. It is far easier to deprive people of their freedoms when they are preoccupied with seemingly life-and-death distractions. Can “defenders of democracy” save Ukraine from Vladimir Putin? Will a new killer virus bring a return of masks and mandates? Can government agencies “save” citizens from the dangers of “disinformation”? Corporate media may dedicate thousands of on-air hours to the scourge of “right-wing” political parties, but they rarely highlight the abiding menace of government power. “Totalitarianism” is discussed as a disease that was heroically vanquished last century, instead of as an illness that is rapidly spreading in the current one.
Not so many decades ago, American citizens shared a common understanding that government is a necessary evil — something that exists to preserve Americans’ freedoms and not as something that should be celebrated in and of itself. The Fourth of July, after all, has always been a holiday for remembering our ancestors’ rejection of government tyranny and their principled defense of inalienable rights. People do not shoot off fireworks in honor of the Department of Homeland Security or give rousing, patriotic toasts to commemorate the formation of the Internal Revenue Service. Towns do not organize parades so that citizens can pay tribute to the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the Central Intelligence Agency. Independence Day is not a time for praising the federal government; it is a patriotic festival for remembering liberty’s triumph over government.
Regrettably, the occupying forces in D.C. have done a good job of making that distinction disappear. Years of Marxist inculcation in schools and government agencies have combined with years of mass migration from communist nations to effect a culture shift in support of unconstrained government power in the United States. By the time that shift had become so sizable that people noticed, President Obama was openly mocking proponents of “limited government” as rabble-rousing “anarchists.” His ridicule of Americans who rightly distrust government power marked a recognizable turning point in our nation’s history.
Up to that point, politicians had paid homage to the Bill of Rights and could generally be counted upon to pay lip service to the Founding Fathers’ war against tyranny. Afterward, politicians increasingly spoke of “rights” as nothing more than government-bestowed privileges and used historically illiterate treatises such as the 1619 Project to rewrite America’s foundations in liberty as empty promises irredeemably tainted by the institution of slavery. From Obama’s presidency to the present, relentless public messaging has been clear: government power is good and even better when it grows.
In truth, American politicians are just being publicly honest about what they have long privately believed. Arguably, the federal government has been accumulating power and authority since its inception, and during the twentieth century, its amalgamated powers grew by leaps and bounds. The 1913 creation of a central bank empowered to manipulate markets, the formation of a self-replicating administrative state set in motion during the presidencies of Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the post-WWII construction of the CIA and the unmitigated domination of the military-industrial complex, multi-trillion-dollar budgets, the steady erosion of state and local sovereignty, and the concomitant expansion of bureaucratic rules and regulations emanating from D.C. have combined to transform the U.S. government into an absolute monstrosity completely antithetical to any notion of “limited government.” When political leaders such as Obama began openly deriding Americans’ traditional suspicions of government, they revealed their outright contempt for individual freedom and their allegiance to State supremacy.
Almost every big policy initiative this century has centered on the further diminishment of personal liberty. The PATRIOT Act built a domestic surveillance system. Obamacare turned medicine into a government enterprise. The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice conspire with social media platforms to censor public speech. The Environmental Protection Agency weakens private property rights. The Treasury Department is exploring options for implementing a central bank digital currency. Everything the U.S. government builds is designed to better track and control citizens.
Here’s the rub: in America and much of the world, ordinary people are finally recognizing that their governments have been building elaborate cages around them for some time. Call it an unintended yet salubrious side-effect of COVID totalitarianism or well deserved backlash to the World Economic Forum’s imperious scheming for a “Great Reset.” Authoritarian governments have inadvertently “awakened” the masses. An idea is taking shape: perhaps governments have become as big a threat as those threats they claim to combat. That quandary should haunt global leaders over the next decade. In the end, there are so many of us and so few of them.
As for me, I’m fond of something Benjamin Franklin wrote: “Where liberty dwells, there is my country.” There’s trouble ahead. You can feel it. Globalists desperately want their technocratic dictatorship. History’s door is rattling, and we don’t yet know what’s on the other side. But I’ll fight like hell to find out. After all, this is still our country.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 8:15a on Friday, I went thru my finger stick to check my BSL (Blood Sugar Level) and recorded it on my Diabetes 2 chart, made coffee and breakfast, took two 50mg Tramadol and a 300mg Gabapentin for various pains, fired-up the Win-7 Pentium HP desktop to let 32 million lines of code load, had a couple smokes in the HOT garage and checked the leftover errands list.
It was already a very warm 82°/ 50% humidity outside, headed to 94° and probably worse, and very humid. I had some wonderful Kona "Peaberry" Coffee, then scanned the news and weather sites, and missed the entire "Chris Stigall Show LIVE" (CS Show) from 6-9a, also missed part of the "Chris Plante Show LIVE" (CP Show) 9-12noon.
T-storms crashed into the York area around 12noon, with no complaints from the flora and fauna. I had lunch, did a final load of laundry, and grabbed a 2hr+ nap on the LR couch. Sherry called and stopped by for a couple hours, on her way home from Daughter Hollie's shop, in nearby Hallam. We had a couple great hours together, and she left before dark. I had some ripening peaches for dinner, watched History's "Ancient Aliens" series until 12midnight, and unplugged.
Sleeping-in until 8:30a on Saturday, I made coffee, fired-up the HP Desktop, had a couple smokes in the garage w/ fresh air, fed the squirrels and birds, and scanned the news and weather. 82° and heading north to 96°, as forecast. Just after July 13th assassination attempt on Trump, I wondered if it was a US Gov't conspiracy, and now the more I read from various security people at the event, the more convinced I am, that it was. I've noted in this "Journal", over the past months and years, that I thought "they" were going to assassinate him, rather than let in back in the WH. "They'd" said so, but not in so many words, over that time period, several times. If true, a massive, wholesale houseclean ing is in order, and NOW. The Deep State is everywhere -- we all know that -- but among the most elite LEO Forces, is beyond disturbing.
I had 2 errands to run, got them done, and was back by 12:30p, and had a HUGE Peach Fritter for lunch. So-so; not much taste, IMO. After some minor condo chores, I hit the LR couch for 1½hrs, and a massive t-storm woke me. Wow, what a store. I checked AccuWeather.com's radar maps, and it was all coming from the Southwest. I took precautions, in between downpours, to secure all back patio and front porch Teak tables and lawn chairs.

• WHAT: PA . PENNSYLVANIA COUNTIES INCLUDED ARE -- ADAMS BERKS BUCKS CARBON CHESTER DAUPHIN DELAWARE LANCASTER LEBANON LEHIGH MONROE MONTGOMERY NORTHAMPTON PHILADELPHIA SCHUYLKILL YORK
• WHEN: From 8 AM EDT today to 10 PM EDT Saturday evening.
• WHERE: A portion of south central Pennsylvania including the Lower Susquehanna Valley: .Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York Counties.
• IMPACTS: 50-70 MPH Winds may cause damage to loose objects and heavy rain will cause flooding in some areas.
The storms and rain were amazing, and much needed, but only 30mins in duration. The main storms were south of us, but the northern potion was enough to give the area some heavy, steady rain. I had fresh, ripe, sweet and juicy local peaches for lunch, dinner and snack, all day. Saturday and Sunday are both "NBC Days" -- Nothing But Crap for TV, so I wound up watching some prior season's reruns of "American Pickers" until 1a. Lights out.
Up at 8:30a on Sunday, a cloudy 74°, humid, quiet morning, I made coffee, had a couple smokes in the garage, fed the squirrels and aggressive birds (Bluejays), and scanned the weather and news websites's headlines. After some breakfast, a shave and morning shower, I felt better. My lower back/hip/buttock/leg's giving me problems (R/S Sciatica) again, even after Hewidi's Therapeutic Massage two weeks ago. I've stopped taking the 2 (opiate/narcotic) Tramadol 50mg every morning, and now use 2 250mg Bayer Aspirin; it works far better and the side effects are zero for me.
I had some condo chores to do, paperwork to whittle down, no F1 or IMSA races to watch and a hot, humid day ahead, forecast to be in the low-90s. The new Hurricane "Debby" is kicking Florida's ass, and people are suffering terribly. The NorthEast sure could use that rainfall. By 6p, temps were only at 92°, and I'd cut my outdoor smoking breaks by 1/3, had some 6 peaches for dinner, and caught the evening news. By 11, I was fading, and bagged it for the night.
Up at 8a on Monday, a sunny, blue sky, 79° and humid morning. Yikes! BREAKING NEWS: the DJIA is down 1069pts, the NASDAQ down 594pts and the S&P down 154pts, at 10a. Sure glad I have plenty of cash and ammo on-hand. With the way the lowlife, subhuman, hate-America, leftist, commie, liberal, socialist, progressive, Marxist, fascist, anarchist etc Bidet&Co have spent us into unrecoverable (no, Trump can't fix it either) debt over the past ~4yrs, we're on the brink of a serious recession. But to put today's 'bump' into some perspective, it doesn't even make the top 20 recent market crashes.
As Rush used to say, "I'll let you know when it's time to panic".
The sub-host is still on the "CP Show LIVE" on WMAL this week, so far, so I left at 11:45a to head south for my usual Monday morning errand trek. Light traffic, both on the roads and almost no one on the sidewalks. So damned hot and humid. 94° back at home; I forgot to check the temps down south. I unpacked a few things from Weis Market, had a rare Roast Beef Sandwich on Rye, w/ lettuce, tomato, Baby Lace Swiss Cheese, horseradish sauce, mayo and salt, and some Gold Peak Sugar-Free Tea, and soon feeling a bit shaky, fell asleep in my office-sunroom chair. High for the day was 96°.
Soon enough, it was 6p, I skipped dinner -- still feeling sick from the heat and humidity -- and watched the news. The DJIA 'Market Fart' -- it wasn't even a minor 'crash' -- dominated all TV news stories, as did Hurricane/Tropical Storm "Debby" thrashing the SouthEast and Atlantic Coast. Everything else (of national and world importance was shoved off the table). Monday is another "NBC Night" for TV, but Motor Trend was running one of my old favorites, "Iron Resurrection", and I watched until 10:30. JoAnne, my cleaning lady, will be in at 8:30a. Lights out.
Up way too early at 4a -- ZERO DARK THIRTY -- on Tuesday, to a 75° morning. Still feeling nauseous, I made Kona Coffee, skipped any food, fired-up the HP desktop, had a couple smokes in the very warm, humid garage, and when I opened the door to get a fresh air exchange, it was worse outside. Crap. It's forecast to be 93° and very humid. Duh10. Sherry's coming by at 1p, and we'll probably stay inside at my condo, with maybe a trip to Flinchbaugh's Orchard & Farm Market or to The Galleria to do some walking. The beautiful, 52ac Springettsbury Twp Park isn't in play until later, when temps and humidity both drop to tolerable levels.
By 8a, I was still feeling sick, emailed Sherry about rescheduling today to later in the week, when I'm feeling better. After JoAnne gets here, I'm headed for the LR couch, and will try to sleep my way thru this heat-related nausea. A ***SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH*** was posted to all weather-related and news websites, beginning at 11a, and extending to 8p. I'm now on the radar maps, IF I can stay awake. Well, at least I haven't smoked in the past 6-7hrs. T-storms rolled into the area around 2p, gave us just under a ¼", and more were on the way.
Texas Gov Greg Abbott summed-up the Walz character's selection as Harris' VP: "the most dangerous P/VP ticket ever. He let cities in his state burn down. She helped bail out the arsonists. She supports free health care to illegal immigrants. He signed laws giving state services to them. Both provide magnets for more illegal immigration. He truly sounds like a hardcore leftist/socialist/communist POS.
I called Sherry to let her know that I was doing OK, and we made plans for Thursday. Love that woman. At around 6:15p, the sky went weird, it looked like 10p and the torrential rain started. A ***SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING*** and a ***FLOOD WATCH*** went up and it was interesting to watch it all changes outside. We just caught the southern edge of the massive t-storm front's cell, and it was a treat to see the unusual event. Heavy rain and lots of it; just what we needed. Temps dropped 15-20° and it almost felt 'inhabitable'. Heh.
I had dinner, watched the usual FNC evening news shows, switched to History's "The unXplained" until 11, and unplugged.
Awake and up at 4:45as -- ZERO DARK THIRTY again -- on Wednesday, a cloudy, rainy, cooler w/ showers moving thru the York area. 10:15a Dr's app't, so I'm leaving an hour ahead, no errands, but some minor chores around the condo. After breakfast, I tuned into the "CP Show LIVE", with CP back from a 2-week vacation and a not-so-good sub-host, I left at 9:15 for Apple Hill Medical Center. The app't went very well. I had one stop to make on the way home, and was back at 12:30p. After some lunch, I worked on paperwork all afternoon, walked over to get mail, and kept checking the weather maps on Hurricane TS Debby's progress up the East Coast. The 1½" we've gotten so far, helps but not nearly enough to make-up for the 10-12 weeks of drought and heat we've endured.
After dinner, "Expedition Unknown" and "Ghost Adventures" were on, and I alternated between them until 11p, and bagged it for the night.
I slept-in until 9a on Thursday, to a cloudy, windless, rainy, 66° morning. Nice. I made coffee, had a couple smokes in the garage, fed the squirrels and Bluejays, tuned into the "CP Show LIVE" (with CP at the helm), and checked the day's schedule. Sherry's going to be here at 1p, and we might just go somewhere; who knows? I had breakfast, got a few things done around the condo, and the CHCA's sub-contractor "dryer venter cleaner" crew arrived, to clean out all 40 units. Oh crap; I'm just now reading about a sweeting substance (a sugar alcohol) once used in my tea, that's now linked to cardio-disease. Damn, nothing's "safe" anymore.
Sherry arrived around 1, and we had a great time together, as usual. A trip to Flinchbaugh's to load-up on fresh fruit and vegs, and she had a stop on the way home, leaving at 5:30. I had some dinner, watched the news, and changed channels all evening since it became another "NBC Night". Lights out at 11p.
Tomorrow starts a new week here in the "Journal", and it's clear for me, except for some omnipresent errands. Sherry and I've already made plans, so the rest of the week is an open circlefest. Heh.
Freeing America From The Shackles Of Big Government.
Once, when we were free, we were the greatest nation on earth; now, we are a small nation with a big government. If he has the courage and vision, Trump can reverse that.
Now is a good time to think about this because last week marked the 55th anniversary of man landing on the moon. Impelled by the words of a murdered president, Americans achieved what was easily the most technologically complex operation man ever undertook. A mere 66 years after the Wright Brother’s first flight, Americans had not only sent men to walk on and plant their flag on the Moon but, even more impressively, had returned them to earth safely.
Possibly the craziest thing about that moon landing was that it was done with the computational equivalent of a Model T. For perspective, the phone you’re reading this on or have nearby has over 100,000 times the processing power of the machines that powered Apollo, along with literally millions of times more memory. With today’s kind of power, it sort of makes you wonder why haven’t we cured cancer or invented time travel or teleportation.
The last time an American walked on the moon (no other country has achieved this) was 1972, fully 52 years ago. In the subsequent half century, the world has changed a great deal. From cable TV to the Internet to mobile phones to video games to discount investing to rideshare apps to recycled plastic to drive-thru restaurants and microwaves and MRI machines, the world has changed in extraordinary ways.
But not all change is for the better. The moon landing was perhaps the high point of American civilizational achievement. The America of the first two-thirds of the 20th century was a robust nation that could do almost anything. Americans won two world wars and, between them, built the Empire State Building in 13 months and the nuclear bomb in 4 years.
Perhaps most tellingly was the fact that, at mid-century, Detroit was not only the richest city in the United States, it was the richest city in the entire world. America was a can-do, swashbuckling nation of Supermen who could accomplish anything.
Compare that to what I once called An American Monument to Osama Bin Laden. It took twelve years from 9/11 before One World Trade replaced the Twin Towers. Even when the United States was more unified than at any point in more than half a century, the powers that be couldn’t figure out how to rebuild the site. I wrote,
We have become incapable of doing anything in this country without giving every single person or group a say in how things proceed, regardless of how tenuous or tangential the nature of their connection to the project in the first place. There seems to be lacking a basic understanding that difficult decisions almost always leave some people feeling bruised or that lawsuits are not necessarily the most effective instruments through which to channel public policy.
The One World Trade building is exactly three miles from the Empire State Building on a map but a million miles away in psyche. Instead of “can do,” we’ve become “can’t possibly do.”
America is now a caricature of a nation. We’re not allowed to agree on what a woman is. We’re told that fossil fuels, possibly the closest thing in history to a gift from God, are an existential threat. We’re told that the Founding Fathers who created the nation that generated the greatest prosperity in all human history were evil while a drug-addled career criminal thug like George Floyd is a hero. From education to healthcare to protecting ex-presidents, the nation has become an unworkable mess…that literally doesn’t work.
Enter Elon Musk. The billionaire genius says that he wants to colonize Mars to make our species interplanetary and, ideally, give us the ability to survive some life-ending calamity here on Earth. He laments that it’s been over a half-century since we landed on another world. But he’s confident that it can be done and that SpaceX can do it. While I have no doubt he’s right on both counts, I have grave doubts that it will actually happen.
Why? Two reasons. The first is “Income Security.”
Today, 70% of the federal government spending is on things that involve income distribution. Whether Social Security, healthcare, food stamps, Headstart, or myriad other programs, fully 70% of the government’s spending is on things the Founding Fathers never envisioned. Begun during the Depression, spending on social programs took off in the 1960s. Today, it drives virtually all budget considerations.
The second is regulation. Since 1969, federal regulation in the United States has quadrupled (literally four times as many pages of regulations). The Federal Register is almost 200,000 pages long, and regulation costs Americans an estimated $13,000 per person annually! Stunningly, that’s almost 20% of the GDP. One can quibble with the actual number, but whatever it is, it’s extraordinary.
Which brings us back to Musk and Mars. Given the amount of regulation and the money being diverted to “income security,” the likelihood that America will successfully be able to colonize Mars is small.
But here’s the thing… Mars is a bright, shiny object in the sky, and Musk can generate media relatively easily. Far closer to home, however, there are millions of other ideas and advances and companies that will never get off the ground or see the light of day because of government strangulation.
Years ago, I wrote a piece about entrepreneurship in America or, more specifically, about Christmas reindeer antlers. In it, I wrote, “Just as failure is the foundation upon which success is built, a culture that tolerates and even extols the frivolous fertilizes the garden from which the consequential emerges.” To the degree that the leviathan of government, from a regulatory and redistribution perspective, stops entrepreneurs from pursuing new ideas of all sorts, from risking failure in the pursuit of success, then the fertilizer that nourishes prosperity withers.
This brings us to another president, one who, thankfully, was not murdered despite a clearly orchestrated effort to make that happen. Donald Trump can become the greatest president in American history. He can do for a Mars landing exactly what JFK did for the Moon.
But it won’t be Mars, per se, that would make Trump the greatest. Rather, it would be his putting the nation back on the regulatory and financial footing that would allow such an out-of-this-world accomplishment. By slashing government regulations and “income security” spending, Trump will not only power us off the planet but, more importantly, empower terrestrial entrepreneurs and investors much closer to home.
This is Trump’s real path to legacy, which is to make America truly great again. By dramatically pruning the regulatory state and slashing government largesse, he will once again give Americans the means to create a new Pax Americana.
And as we saw from that first Pax Americana, American prosperity inspires and drives much of the same around the world. Combined with today’s technology, Trump would be the shepherd of the greatest advance in prosperity the world has ever seen. That’s how you Make America Great Again and, simultaneously, become immortal.

He the People.
The people have spoken, and last week former President Barack Obama called Vice President Kamala Harris to tell her. His endorsement of her run for the presidency was captured in a short video documenting the candidate’s reaction.
“Although you called for an open process,” said Obama, “and you know, Democrats have, have put in place an open process, it appears that people feel very strongly that you need to be our nominee.”But without a primary, without a popular referendum, without even the open convention that Obama was rumored to favor, how did the people make their will known, and strongly? Was it social media influencers? How Barack Obama ended normalcy in American politics.
Mass rallies across the country? Media chronicling the excitement surrounding a Harris candidacy? No, it was nothing like that. Obama is the people. The people are Obama. The endorsement was more than five years in the making. Obama had long wanted her in that spot. Their families are old friends. Like him, Harris is progressive, multiracial, physically attractive, nominally hip, a child of academics—in other words, according to Obama-friendly media, she’s a “female Barack Obama.” He directed donors to support her 2020 presidential campaign, Capitol Hill sources told me at the time.
More billionaires, 47, backed her campaign than any other candidate’s—with Obama strongholds in Hollywood (Steven Spielberg and George Lucas) and Big Tech (Reid Hoffman, Laurene Powell Jobs, Craig Newmark, etc.) leading the way.Obama got her the vice presidential nod even when she was forced to drop out of the primary race after hitting just 3 percent in the polls. Jill Biden objected—Harris had called her husband a racist! The First Lady’s reported recent tantrums show that even after four years, she never fully grasped the arrangement the party had made with her husband. Biden was just an imperfect placeholder for Obama, and it was only a matter of time before the superior avatar would be slotted in.
The question is when, exactly, did it become clear to Obama that it was time for Harris to finally replace Biden? Was it after Biden’s disastrous debate with Donald Trump? After the attempted assassination of Trump? No, it seems the countdown officially began Oct. 7. The Palestinians’ murderous assault on communities in southern Israel exposed Biden’s limited ability to represent the interests of the party he was tapped to temporarily preside over. It didn’t require an especially refined moral sensibility to be appalled and terrified by the carnivalesque depravity of Oct. 7—but to give Biden credit, he evidently was. And that was the signal his time was up.He‘s no John Fetterman.
Biden is not a particularly courageous friend of the Jewish state, nor does he appear to much value the strategic importance of an ally that lessens America’s burden in a region vital to U.S. interests.
When it comes to Israel, the 81-year-old president is just a normal late-20th-century Democrat who likes the country well enough, recognizes Jews as an important albeit small voting bloc and a crucial source of campaign funds, and performs ritualistic contempt for Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. But last Wednesday’s pro-Hamas riots in Washington, D.C.—in which domestic left-wing extremists linked arms with Middle East terror supporters and other foreigners to burn the American flag, deface monuments, and brawl with police, all in the name of protesting Netanyahu’s speech before a joint session of Congress—was only the latest evidence that the crux of Biden’s Oct. 7 problem was not that Michigan and Minnesota’s voter rolls are swollen with advocates of Muslim and Arab terror.
The issue was not a party constituency at all, but rather the party itself and its leader. Barack Obama fundamentally reshaped the party when he struck the 2015 deal legalizing the nuclear weapons program of Hamas’ sponsor, Iran. By legitimizing the apocalyptic foreign policy aims of the world power that embodies Jew hatred, Obama sidelined the Jews and other centrists and made the progressive, anti-Israel faction the party’s new center of gravity. The media did yeoman’s work obscuring the details and purpose of the agreement, but the fact is, by putting Iran’s bomb under a protective American umbrella, Obama was arming an American adversary to make it his own ally.
The Iran deal was the first clear sign that Obama was not a normal U.S. commander in chief. When Biden extended even half-hearted, halting support to Israel’s response to Oct. 7, he crossed the only real red line Obama has ever had. Harris—who, unlike Biden, has no foreign policy beliefs or instincts of her own—never will.Like friends, our favored allies reflect back to us the qualities we are flattered to find in ourselves. For instance, when Netanyahu spoke of the lions of the IDF, the elected representatives of the American people were stirred not only by the thought of Israeli boys and girls on the front lines but also—in fact, primarily—by the image he implicitly evoked: the image of our best and brightest, our lions, risking their lives to serve America.
When he spoke of the God of Israel, the Americans might as well have struck their chests like patriarchs and shouted, \"That’s us, too, brother—America also has a covenant and with the same God!\"How did aligning with Iran, a threshold nuclear power that threatens to destroy Israel, change the Democratic Party? It means, for instance, that political analysts speak openly on TV about how Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s Jewishness makes him a problematic number two pick for Harris. Nominating a Jew, the media reports, will split the party. And what partnership with an anti-American regime means for America as a whole was illustrated when violent rioters pulled down the American flag in the U.S. capital and replaced it with the banner of a terror enclave that has been holding American hostages for more than nine months.
What we saw outside Union Station is Obama’s faction. Local, state, and federal bureaucrats, as well as minorities, single women, academics, labor unions, and even Jews are all still welcome to vote Democrat. But the party’s vanguard, its true believers, its street fighters and enforcers, are allied with the terror gang that broadcast its campaign of rape, torture, and murder on Oct. 7. Mainstreaming the psychological modalities and media techniques of the Manson family is not normal in America. These are not normal times in America. But then again, as Obama’s Pulitzer-winning biographer David Garrow explained, “He’s not normal—as in not a normal politician or a normal human being.
”Proof that the mob outside Union Station is protected is that the few who were arrested were swiftly released—even those who assaulted police officers. The opposition was quick to compare law enforcement’s treatment of the death-cult auxiliaries who marched on the Capitol to Jan. 6 defendants, thousands of whom were rounded up, detained for months, charged, and convicted with sentencing enhancements that will keep some, like Proud Boys’ leader Enrique Tarrio, behind bars for two decades. It’s a two-tier system of justice, say Trump supporters:
We get jail time and they have get-out-of-jail-free cards. But that’s not accurate. A two-tier system of justice is one in which Black teenagers can’t afford the legal representation available to white kids with wealthy parents. The current system is rather one in which law is an instrument the regime uses to punish political opponents.
In the current system, everything is licit for the ruling party. That is, the current system is lawless. The end of normalcy in American politics has left Americans in a daze, unable to accurately grasp the new reality or to recognize its alien features. Some say Biden was toppled in a coup, but that’s wrong. It was never truly his presidency in the first place. He was serving in a ceremonial role on behalf of a politburo, and thus his executive authority owed less to his total 81 million votes, 58 percent of which were mail-in ballots harvested on his behalf, than to his former boss who saw him as the most plausible vehicle through which to exercise power.
But Oct. 7 and the aftermath showed that Biden couldn’t be trusted to balance the appearance of normalcy with the psychopathy of the faction’s priestly warrior class. So his time was up.It was Obama’s voice you heard when Harris spoke after her meeting with Netanyahu. One day after pro-Hamas mobs desecrated the American flag, Harris lectured Americans on the dangers of “Islamophobia.” But what does that mean?
No one is going to the streets to beat up Muslims or burn Palestinian flags or celebrate the slaughter of Arab infants. “Islamophobia” is a made-up concept, designed to give cover to the terror adjuncts laying waste to American cities and college campuses. Criticize them or their historic cause—i.e., murdering Jews—and you’re Islamophobic. And that, as Obama likes to say, is not who we are as Americans.Harris’ speech was filled with Obamaisms: pairing antisemitism with Islamophobia and “hate of any kind,” foisting responsibility for “Palestinian self-determination” on Israel, and urging Americans not to see the war in Gaza as a “binary issue.”
That is, Americans should forsake the moral clarity that comes naturally to them because, as Obama said in November, we have to “admit” that “nobody's hands are clean.” Americans have to take in “the whole truth.” See, it’s nonbinary.Harris is ridiculed for her vacuous rhetorical style, but Biden was never a good stand-in for Obama’s gaseous speechifying, and the dissonance has long unnerved the new Democratic base.
Never mind the habits and ticks that stuck to the old man after nearly half a century in Washington; by 2020, he could barely string two sentences together no matter who typed his speeches into the teleprompter. With Harris, however, Obama has an ideal instrument through which he can speak directly and in his preferred prose. She’s an empty vessel.
What listeners hear in her is the immediacy of Obama, which is precisely what the party—the people—crave. The opposition, meanwhile, is struggling to recognize the contours of the new political anatomy. Those who can are often hesitant to call it what it is, for fear of being called a bigot for recognizing that normalcy in American politics came to an end with Barack Obama, who happened to also be the country’s first Black president.
Discretion is laudable, up to a point. But when Obama lieutenants leak to the media that Obama is calling the shots, as they have been since the debate, it’s clear that fear of being called a racist has nothing to do with it. The failure to frankly identify the source of our political abnormality is a cause for concern. We are now in the second decade of a phenomenon previously unknown in American politics. Instead of identifying it, dissidents have devised formulations to avoid naming it, like the deep state or wokeness or DEI, etc.
But these are just the adornments of a deracinated regime, and to cast an amorphous leviathan in the role of adversary is to commit to a never-ending and ultimately unwinnable struggle. It is in this space where people lose hope, for it’s a vacuum that engenders the culture of the conspiracy theory—elaborate and colorful accounts of despair explaining that we have no control over our lives, our fate, the future of our families, communities, or our country because of hidden forces that are too big and too entrenched.
The truth is that an American political faction is employing third-world tactics—surveillance, censorship, election interference, political prosecution, and political violence—to put the United States under the thumb of a single party led by a man who in his mind has become the people.

The Democratization of Fraud -- How Trump Loses In 2024.
As Trump supporters experience an orgy of false optimism, let’s take a look at what is hiding in the electoral woodpile come November.
Omega4America’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
The November election will be decided in 15 counties across 7 states.
Fraud has moved from a crime,
to a cause.
The Fractal team runs the election data for each one - so let’s take you through the numbers before you place your bets.
Remember where we come from.
We are not election guys, we are fraud guys. Big data, quantum compute, experienced. Top universities, founded multiple companies - now with a billion dollar valuation, high growth and having lots of fun being disruptive.
Not bragging here - just want you to see why we pay zero attention to election types who have never run a fraud investigation or broken a fraud ring - and why they really hate us.
We built the eBay fraud engine when nobody - including the FBI could stop auction fraud. Our tech was the foundation for the TSA No-Fly List, stopping terrorists from more underwear bombs.
We provided the data analytics for one of the largest insurance RICO suits ever won.
Today, we are deeply engaged in finding Medicaid fraud across every state - returning billions of dollars in federal program fraud - using quantum compute and distributed small-language artificial intelligence models.
Some of our team members are building the national database of illegal campaign contributions, via money laundering, that supported current politicos - for 20 years!
Thus, unlike orgs like the American Majority, we are not election guys who heard about fraud, we are fraud guys applying our skills, for leading American citizen groups and state legislators - demonstrating massive election fraud lurking in the voter roll of every state.
In 2024, Trump and the Republicans are going to get surprised - again - by ballot manufacturing in the 15 critical counties. It’s going to happen in more places than that, but those 15 count.
We are just amazed we need to use the word “surprise.”
Ballot manufacturing happened in 2020, 2022 and the ink is being shipped now for 2024! How can that be a surprise? Only Republicans could have a surprise birthday party, every even-numbered year, and still be surprised.
What is ballot manufacturing?
Why are none of the national orgs, like American Majority talking about it?
Ballot manufacturing is the collection of ballots, from places ballots deliberately accumulate due to proactively being sent to such locations where the voter does NOT reside - those ballots are then voted for that person by Leftist groups.
Ballot manufacturing is the manufacturing of real ballots, tied to people in the voter roll, those ballots never pass through the mail - but somehow appear, unfolded, no wrinkles from the mail process - in Leftist voting locations.
Groups like the American Majority are nonsensically telling Americans the way to win 2024, and subsequent elections is by ballot harvesting better than the Leftists. Since groups like this know nothing about fraud - unless someone hacked their Gold Visa card at an expensive DC area restaurant, they have no clue.
Let’s give you, the reader an intro to how industrial-scale voter fraud has metastasized in America - and why it is going to be the largest player in the 2024 election.
Let us share with you, now, before any votes are cast, why 2024 ballot manufacturing will blow past any “get-out-the-vote” or “ballot-harvest” from evangelical churches.
The entire Washington DC infrastructure - American Majority being one - but all of them are hiding the fraud impact - because they have no tools to identify fraud, no ability to fundraise to stop it, and no expertise to uncover it.
Well, we do. Let’s take you there.
The Washington DC American Majority types are telling you 2024 election fraud can be outrun - by better ballot harvesting than the Leftists - which we are telling you today is madness - and unlike them, we publish the voter roll videos to prove it!
In each of the 26 states - including every swing state - where we have the voter rolls, we can demonstrate enough fake voters, real voters at fake addresses, real voters at real but ineligible addresses, real or fake voters at transient locations - like a college - voting from there for 20 years - to impact a statewide election.
In 2024, these “phantoms” are the last phalanx of the Left - hidden, in the yet uncleaned voter rolls, to stop a Trump victory.
Yesterday one of our pals met with the Secretary of State for one of the reddest states. He showed the entire SoS office our video of their voter rolls. We aren’t going to name the state, but it was pretty clear when they saw the Fractal quantum analysis of their voter rolls, they were stunned. Now they are waiting to see if we are going to publish it.
People, it’s this bad in every state.
We receive so much pushback from the national voter integrity movements, we started to publish videos. Go to our current voter site Omega4America.com and watch the videos yourself.
There is now something very different about fraud in America - not just voter stuff - fraud in general. The data shows it so let me educate you a bit.
Fraud has democratized - that means it moved from industrial-scale, where sophisticated bad actors committed the fraud as a business, to where large swaths of the population are committing fraud regularly.
Fraud has moved from a crime, to a cause.
For example, Medicaid fraud - the big ticket stuff - is committed by doctors, lawyers, chiros and medical equipment vendors - collaborating to issue fake charges again and again. Our Fractal team, using advanced quantum compute, has some very compelling ways to “out” these rings. This is industrial-fraud, it has been around for 40 years, it is a fishing hole for us to always find fraud.
Here is the alarming finding.
Government program fraud, as in the Payroll Protection Program, WIC welfare fraud, healthcare fraud and of course voter fraud - has moved from the industrial, professional class, to the masses.
Since you probably care about voter stuff, that means it is no longer just Leftists and RINOs cooking the books for a favored candidate. It is churches, NGOs, well-regarded civil rights groups and literally thousands of citizens - organized in urban areas - Milwaukee comes to mind - colluding to impact elections illegally.
For these people, most of whom would return a wallet found in the street - with the dough inside - election fraud is a cause. It means stopping Trump or saving the planet!
The concept of “ballot-harvesting” has been illegal - forever. Not now - the masses accept it as a thing. Everyone does it, only the foolish think the Republicans will do it better in 2024!
Fraud is democratizing! Ballot harvesting is no longer wrong - not if it’s for a cause!
Ballot harvesting is now part of the voting infrastructure - Republicans meekly going along.
For example, we have emails from letter carriers - that Postal guy with the leather bag, noting they collect piles of undeliverable ballots in the apartment buildings - bring them to the central U.S. Post Office - those ballots are given, en mass to Leftist groups.
No big deal - just bring in those ballots from the 500 unit building collecting by the hundreds on the mail room floor - because the address has no apartment number.
How is ballot harvesting at evangelical churches going to “outrun” these tens of thousands of such ballots?
We can show you each identity - today - where mail-in ballots will be sent - months before the election - and accumulate on mail room floors.
The Undeliverable Ballot Database identifies undeliverable ballots that will be voted AGAINST REPUBLICANS IN 2024.
In every state we examine, we apply time-series analysis to voter rolls. We take a voter roll for Texas, with 19 million voters, on different dates. We then compare every cell on every voter roll, with the previous voter rolls.
So, for you SQL/relational technology types, that’s 19 million rows, times 19 million for every date, times 23 columns - done in less than 5 seconds on a computer the size of a shoe box - visible on your phone.
We have a lot of fun with those obsolete relational tech types - forgive us for some fun!
What we find is amazing!
Thousands, tens of thousands of people registered, voting, year after year, decade after decade from their college dorm. Thousands voting from RV parks where you cannot make a reservation for more than 2 weeks - yet voting - by the thousands - year after year. We show the hotels - the Radisson, Ramada, Hilton - voters - by the thousands, tens of thousands - voting, decade after decade - from a Hilton!
Imagine that room charge!
This is in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Kansas, Alaska, Ohio - all red states.
In Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, North Carolina we can show you, with current voter rolls, that 2024 is no different from 2020 - actually it will be much worse.
Friends, nothing has changed. At least nothing substantial in any of these states in 4 years - is different today.
These states - some with dozens of voter integrity teams - have not made a dent in the phantom voter army hiding in their voter rolls - in plain sight. It’s way too late to get them off the rolls - the only chance is to stop clearly ineligible locations from getting mail-in ballots.
Look, our team is totally non-partisan. The guy who built the original election system for Fractal was Canadian. Others may not even vote, we never asked. But everyone who has played with the Fractal system in the states concludes that unless Trump wins 2024 in these 7 swing states by more than 5% - there is no way he is going to carry those states.
So while you are enjoying this current orgy of glee, that Trump crushed Nikki Haley and Biden cannot finish a sentence, you may want to look at that woodpile.
The organized, and democratized voter fraud remains in the system from 2020 - it is still there - only a lot more fired up this time!
