#15. Only in America... could hate-filled, mentally-ill, left-wing liberal-demokkkRATs keep spending TRILLIONS of dollars we don't have, shuffle numbers around on paper, and call it "budget deficit reduction", while their compliant slaves in the media joyously go along with the lies.
#14. Only in America... could the left-wing extremist, socialist, fascist, progressive-demokkkRAT wackos keep legislating to destroy our Constitutionally-given, 2nd Amendment, Right To Keep And Bear Arms, with more rights for criminals, terrorists and the feral, subhuman filth/dregs/scum of society and designate Real Americans as the victims.

Only in America... could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the US House Ways & Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be criminals and tax cheats, who are in favor of higher taxes for others.
# 7. Only in America... can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that murderous, subhuman muslim filth might be harmed by the backlash.

Only in America... would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just "magically" become American citizens.
# 5. Only in America... could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremist".
# 4. Only in America... could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check, buy a firearm, buy cigarettes, open a bank account, board a plane or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
# 3. Only in America... could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public, because the price of gas went up, when the return on equity (ROI) invested in a major US Oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company (Nike) making tennis shoes.
# 2. Only in America... can you collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year, for a total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.
# 1. And only in America... could the rich people – who pay 86% of all income taxes – be accused of not paying their "fair share", by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

A Day In The Life
The rumbling t-storms had me awake 2-3x during the night, with booming thunder, lightening and driving rain on the skylights. By 7:30am on Friday, it was over and they'd passed to the east of us. But we wouldn't see the sun all day. I made some Turkish-ground drip coffee and OJ, checked the weather, news and email, and the day's to-do list. I left at 9:30. After several stops and some unbalanced lifting of packages, my left arm's bicep-tendon began thumping again, so I headed home to get some Bayer® 325mg Aspirin, and put a Cold-Pak on it. That helped, and I went back out to finish the last errands. Only 76°F. Home again by 12:30pm, I made a late breakfast of Scrapple, Sunny-Side-Up Eggs, Homefries & Toast.
Heh, funny thought just went thru my head: Don't Fuck With People Who Handle Your Food. Be nice to your hostesses, servers and bartenders. Having once been a busboy, valet parker, bartender, short order cook, line cook and finally a chef, in my early teen years' summer jobs, I can say that "it's for your own health". No, I never did that. Never.
For the 64°F afternoon, I built a fire, played 6 hours of Antonio Vivaldi - 'I Solisti Veneti' (6:06) while working on Condo chores, rearranging my 'fridge freezer, garage freezer, and finally settling down to doing some reading of "The 5,000-Year Leap – A Miracle That Changed the World", until the usual Mark Levin Show streamed from 6-9, and afterward, the John Batchelor Show, from 9-10:30pm. I switched over to NatGeo for Wild Justice – 'Outlaw Hunters' (45:55) and Wild Justice – 'Night Patrol' (45:54) episodes. I closed-down at 11:45pm, armed the Condo, and went upstairs to bed.
Up at 7:45am on Saturday, it was another welcomed day of clouds, drizzle and cool temps. 62°F. With Del Monte® Mango/Passionfruit Chunks and coffee, I checked the usual email, news and weather sites, turned-on my ancient 2006 Nokia 6060 "Clamshell" cellphone, and a call from Choice Security came thru about a "motion sensor" at the old GC&N Complex, which I'd need to respond
It took 37mins to go 14.2 miles down Rt-24 (used to be a 21min trip before all the new housing and intersections), and I drove in thru the back tree line, drove up to the main building complex, drew my 2009 Kimber® 1911 Eclipse Target II™ II" .45cal ACP, with a Premium 8-Round Wilson 47-D Combat Magazines and 230gr Hollow-Points, unlocked the Main Retail Building & GHs, and carefully checked all rooms. I reset the alarm pad inside the front door, called Choice back to cancel the alarm, and noticed that the TWP Police SUV was at the bottom of the front driveway. I drove down to talk with the deputy, he jumped in my Jeep and we went back up into the buildings and GHs to recheck the areas. All clear, I thanked him for his help and drove him back to his vehicle. After resetting the alarm pad, and locking-up, I left for East York. On the way, I made several stops; at two farmers' markets to see what fresh veggies they had, and at a local primo pizza shop to get a couple of slices for lunch. I hit a few cells of rain and wind, but traffic was just building for the late morning, and I'd already had a bellyfull of driving in it. Interesting headlines/articles about Montana and Wyoming having an early Winter, a nasty 6.1 earthquake in the SF Bay area, a pending massive volcanic eruption in Iceland, and the mass hysteria of cats and dogs living together. LOL. I grabbed the usual morning shower, put a load of dishes thru the dishwasher. After calling Dad around 6:30pm, to let him know that I'd be by tomorrow after doing food shopping at Weis Market, I made a quick Chicken Salad Sandwich on Wheat Toast, tuned into the usual Gun Talk Radio Network Show, which was on from 8-11pm, while I followed the thread on this site, until 11pm. Temps had dropped to 55°F, while I listened to the John Batchelor Show, until 12:30am. I checked my morning food shopping list, needed to pick-up mail at the CHCA Community Mailbox and mail-off a pile of bills I'd written-out today, visit Dad and make some plans with him for the week ahead. I was fading fast, closed-down, armed the place and went up to sleep.
Monday morning at 6:30 was a cool 54°F, foggy start to the day, but by 8am, most of it had burned-off with 81°F forecast, and up to the 90s for mid-week. Summer's back. Personally, I like the cooler weather, but it's sure playing havoc with farmers' and gardeners' crops. Glad I'm out of that business. After OJ, coffee and an English Muffin w/ Peach Preserves, I dug up a small Purple Coneflower clump from my front garden, to transplant to Dad's garden, to replace some Shasta Daisies, and left for Weis Market at 9am. Up at 7am on Tuesday, it was a morning of heavy, dense fog covering everything. 61°F. As I checked the weather and news, while having OJ and waiting for coffee to steep-brew, I noticed a *** DENSE FOG ADVISORY *** posted damn near on every news/weather website in the York-Harrisburg area. It looked like midnight outside, instead of 7:30am. By 9am, that had burned-off, but Traffax was reporting multiple accidents on the interstates and many roads. I made two Classic BLT sandwiches, had some Talenti® Double Dark Chocolate Gelato as dessert, and drove down to the old GC&N Complex, to do a security check and replace any outside lightbulbs. On the way back, I again stopped a 3 farmers' markets and the selection of produce was as sketchy as a few days earlier, due to the cool weather and rainfall. I passed on it, and stopped at a few farm garden stands to get some tomatoes and sweet corn. Back by 5:15, I went out for a short walk around the complex, and then listened to the Mark Levin Show from 7-9, but found two very disturbing mini-documentaries about 9-11-01 to watch for the rest of the evening. I suggest that you also watch them, but keep an open mind about the stream of questions and data points raised: "9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions" and "Painful Deceptions 911 Documentary by Eric Hufschmid - Full Version". Yes, they're "9-11 Truther Films", but are well-researched, asking some hard questions, and providing evidence which begs for answers. Decide for yourself. I packed it in early at 10:30pm, armed the Condo and went to bed.
I was up at 6am on Wednesday, after some vivid dreams about I don't remember what, and the lawnmower crews' noise, to a warm and muggy 67°F, cloudy day. After OJ and coffee, I listened to local WSBA's news and weather, for a change, read some national world news, checked the day's "punch list", got ready and left at 9:30, before the heat and humidity arrived. I stopped at the PNC bank and Weis Market in East York, Stetler Dodge Jeep in West York to look at some of the leftover 2013/2014 models, Staples, Post Office, Home Depot and finally headed home. For lunch, I ate the final 1-lb of the fresh, steamed, Old Bay-seasoned medium (24-30ct) Shrimp, and had some Talenti® Double Dark Chocolate Gelato as a treat. High for the day was 87°F. Rush was on from 12-3pm, while I did paperwork, and I replayed the morning's missed Chris Plante Show Podcast from 3-6pm, and then listened to the usual Mark Levin Show from 6-9. My personal attorney called to talk about my Will, Trusts and other legal documents. I and Becky have a Tuesday meeting next week with Dad and his Elder Care Attorney, to update his estate documents, and my Sister might enlist his services; I'm staying put with my personal attorney of 20+ years. I listened to the John Batchelor Show, until 12:30am, and then called it quits, closed-down, armed the Condo, and went up to sleep. Busy day tomorrow with Dad.
After a restless night of assorted 9-11 visions, I got up at 6:15am on Thursday, turned on the computer and was greeted by a boatload of delayed MS-Windows downloads/installs. While that was going on, I made OJ, coffee and had simple toast with Blueberry Preserves. After a reboot, the computer was ready to use, and I checked the weather and news. 64°F. Friday starts a new week here in "The Journal", Labor Day Weekend is upon us marking the end of Summer, an the advent of millions of traffic-clogging yellow school buses clogging the roads during morning and afternoon 'rush hour', I'm feeding a neighbor's 2 cats until Monday, while he's at Ocean City with some buddies, and will spend much of the weekend getting ready for the 10am Tuesday Atty's meeting, and waiting for Becky to let me know what time I have to drive her in to OSS Health Center Complex, for her toe operation. Ditto for her Oct 6th arthroscopic knee surgery. And the York County Fair, the Nation's Oldest and Longest-Running County Fair, starts Fri, Sept 5th and runs until the 14th. I'm taking Dad, and Becky, for a day trip, if she can walk. And calling Sherry to see if she's up for it. I want some York Fair Food!

Now, for the first time, Ebola has "officially" entered the United Sates via two health aid workers, that contracted the disease while working in Africa, where the Ebola outbreak continues.

Case fatality can be up to 90 percent – in other words, 90 out of every 100 people who catch Ebola die. EVD outbreaks typically occur in remote villages in Central and West Africa and are transmitted via wild animals (such as fruit bats) to humans.
The first patient landed in the United States on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Dr. Kent Brantly was then flown from Africa to the United States and then transported via ambulance to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The second person, Nancy Whitebol, will return to the U.S. in the coming days. Many people are questioning the decision to bring the two American aid workers to the United States to be treated. Obama: "Entrepreneurs Don't Build Businesses"
"Last week, President Barack Obama delivered some telling remarks to a fire station full of people in Roanoke, Virginia. I'll save you the trouble of reading the (long and uninspired) speech and provide you with the most interesting part:
"If you've got a business – you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." – President Barack Obama, July 13th, 2012.
It would be easy to respond with something along the lines of, "Somebody else made that happen? Who? Who magically imagined the product or service, started the business, built it up, and created the jobs? Who was it? The tooth fairy?" And to some extent, President Obama's statement is so ridiculous as to merit that sort of quick, flippant response.

However, he's not entirely wrong. This reminds me of an argument that Massachusetts Senate Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren would probably make. If he's talking about a mid-sized or large business, where an entrepreneur has hired additional employees, then at that point the business's success isn't purely that of its founder.
Employees add value to a business through work and ideas. That's why you hire employees, after all. Steve Jobs didn't invent every last detail of the phones, computers, and tablets to come out of Apple over the last decade. There were engineers working on those products who developed them. So, employees help entrepreneurs to build their business. "Somebody else" did indeed play a part in making that happen.
But what makes the president's remarks so inane is the totality of what he's saying. He's not saying that entrepreneurs and employees work together to build a business. It's not a collaborative effort. It's all thanks to the employees. Usually, I can understand the way the president's mind works on most issues by examining it through a pragmatic, liberal, or progressive framework. This one baffles me.
As I explained, I can see that he has some of a point, but he's still just obviously wrong on the broader point. Sure, the employees help to build the business, but the business itself wouldn't exist without the entrepreneur. So, to say to entrepreneurs and to business owners, "...you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen," is just wrong. It's silly. They did build that by setting the foundation for the business.
Entrepreneurs are almost always the hardest workers in their business. They work a simply insane number of hours to get their idea off the ground. If they succeed (and they face a tremendous risk if they don't), then they'll start to grow and to hire employees to help. Honestly, if I were an entrepreneur and I read those remarks by the president, I would be furious. It's a tremendous insult to the true job-creators in America, entrepreneurs.
In the context of a long, somewhat rambling campaign speech that touched on every issue under the sun, it may seem as though I'm over-exaggerating the importance of a minor thing he said. But President Obama isn't a stupid man, or even one who makes off-the-cuff remarks he doesn't really mean. He's a very smart man, and he meant what he said.
When the most important issues for most Americans are economic growth and job creation, I believe it's essential to know exactly where both candidates stand on the importance of entrepreneurs.
