the corruption of everything

friday, january 12th, 2024

As we survey the American landscape, we cannot help but notice that just about everything has been corrupted by the left.

The justice system has been corrupted by partisan politics to the point where Republicans and conservatives are persecuted and prosecuted at a level far higher than anyone else.  We on the right can reliably depend on being prosecuted for “misgendering,” contributing to conservative causes, being a Christian or a Jew, speaking out against the barbaric transing of children, defending ourselves with a firearm, and not being a Democrat.  We can depend upon getting arrested for protesting peacefully as the corrupt “Justice” Department singles us out for jail, bankruptcy, or keeping us off election ballots, while really destructive rioters go free.

Medical research has been corrupted by the deliberate downgrading of meritorious research that just so happens to be at odds with the latest leftist perversion du jour.  For example, there are research grants for hamster fights.

Elections have been corrupted.  Mail-in ballots, demonstrated to be extremely susceptible to fraudulent inflation of Democrat votes, are ready for the next fraud.  Dead people vote; people vote multiple times; non-residents vote in other states; and phony ballots are printed and signed with the same handwriting, then run through counting machines multiple times.  Computer problems pop up so as to skew the vote.

Education has been corrupted.  Universities do not teach students how to get a job, be prosperous, and succeed.  Instead, they teach antisemitism, anti-white racism in the guise of “systemic racism” and “anti-racism,” identity politics, and sexual deviancy.  Everything on the left is about cultural identity matters: Are you gay?  Are you black?  Are you trans?  Are you non-binary?  Are you a Jew-hater?  A Christian?  It seems as though the left has an aversion to other people being happy, and so leftists tear everything apart in their insecurities and unwarranted anger and envy.  They are despicable people.

The American standard of living has been corrupted.  We like our gas cars, our gas stoves, our air-conditioning, our steaks and chops, and our suburban life.  Enjoyment is forbidden.  So is comfort.  And so these things must go in order to satisfy the WEF and the American Marxists’ lust for revenge and degradation of our standard of living because...climate change.

Osambo v3.0

Media have been corrupted.  Most so-called mainstream media are arms of the Democrat party, flooded with leftists of the most extreme kind.  Every “news” show is not news — it’s opinion about what horrific things Trump would do if elected.  “News” programs have become an arm of the Education Department, flooding the zone with far-left goofiness or worse, all of a piece in reshaping America into a communist nation.

Entertainment has been corrupted.  Disney, Netflix, and other entertainment outlets have taken innocent stories and rewritten them to snatch fantasy away from young people and in its place insert some sort of sexual deviancy.  There is no place for childhood anymore.  The woke broke entertainment, and I cannot see it coming together without a serious cultural reversal.

The workplace has been corrupted.  DIE, thankfully on its way out, has made the workplace hostile, incompetent, and unproductive.  In the guise of righting racial wrongs (whatever they are), departments of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (which are none of the above) have pocked the job landscape in order to emphasize group identity rather than skill and talent.  As a result, the work product across the board in America is degraded, and the least talented get the jobs because...racism, sexism, and misgendering.  It will take years to repair the damage and get America’s work force perking on all cylinders again.

The border has been corrupted.  Almost ten million illegal entrants have come across our borders, bringing terrorists, sex-traffickers, and criminals.  It’s proving to be overwhelming to the cities where they squat, and it must stop.  Are we waiting for a massive cyber-attack?  This administration is almost single-handedly destroying our sovereignty.  Thanks, Joe.

Information has been corrupted.  An internet search using almost all search engines brings up the most liberal leftist hits first, leaving the more intelligent pages and studies done by conservatives to be sought out if you’re lucky.

Race relations have been corrupted.  Beginning with Barack Obama’s “the police acted stupidly” and moving on to the lionizing of criminal George Floyd, to the 2020 “mostly peaceful” riots, to cashless bail, to corrupt D.A.s in blue cities, race relations have gotten much, much worse.

Sexuality has been corrupted.  Men claim to be women and vice versa.  Drag queens set the kiddie agenda in schools, and transsexuality has become epidemic, although de-transitioners are becoming more noticeable these days.  Meanwhile, young lives have been ruined because of this fad.  In addition, no TV or streaming drama is complete without the obligatory sex scene.  This has made family watching almost impossible and even non-prudes like me squeamish.  Sex scenes are not even necessary to enhance the storylines.  It’s just another way the left can degrade something beautiful and sacred.

There is a lot more corruption than I have space for here, but I do sense the worm turning.  We’ve had enough time to assess the damage the left has done, and we abhor it.  We will rise up.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 7a on Friday, I went thru my 2x daily finger stick to check my BSL (Blood Sugar Level) and recorded it on my Diabetes 2 chart, made coffee and breakfast, took two 50mg Tramadol and a 300mg Gabapentin for various pains, fired-up the Win-7 Pentium HP desktop to let 32 million lines of code load, had a couple smokes in the semi-cool garage and checked the day's to-do list.

It was a damp, cold 22° and nothing was forecast for today, with some snow tomorrow and Sunday. The ominous "snow storm" warning were posted, but toned down in scope. No complaints. I fired-up the furnace and garage heater, to take the chill off, and scanned the news and weather sites. I tuned into my daily Talk Radio fix: "Chris Stigall Show LIVE" from 6-9a, and then the "Chris Plante Show LIVE" 9-12noon, and then the Rob Carson Show LIVE 12-3p. After several mugs of coffee, I got ready for the day, and left for the New Eastern Farmer's Market, to p/u my order, called in Wednesday.

While scanning the news sites, I found this crap: "New York City announces lawsuit against bus companies sending migrants to city, seeks $708 million". The dumbassed shit-for-brains, Mayor Eric Adams, has announced a lawsuit against 17 bus and transportation companies helping to send asylum-seekers to the city as it deals with major budget issues surrounding the crisis. The city is seeking $708 million in the lawsuit to cover costs for caring for migrants. Amazing stupidity from sambo boy!

Here's the 2nd batch of "names" in the Jeffrey Epstein testimony/document dump. A LOT there to download and read, IMO. In case you missed the 1st doc-dump, here it is.

Sherry arrived at 1p, and we talked for the next 3hrs, skipped the Galleria, and had a good time. She left just after 4, to get home in disk, rush hour traffic. I got some dinner -- missed lunch -- and tuned into some Motor Trend "Mecum Auto Auction" and Discovery "Gold Rush" for the evening. Temps were quickly dropping into the low 20s, and by midnight, I'd closed down, unplugged and headed upstairs.

Up at 6a on Saturday -- 0-Dark-Thirty, again -- it was a cloudy, cold 23° start to the morning, with snow forecast to arrive mid-morning. At almost precisely 10a, it started snowing, and got heavier as the minutes and hours went by. I LOVE IT! I get "giddy" as a 5year old, when it snows! Woo-Hoo!

I think I'll leave my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee HEMI V8, in the garage today...

After some lunch, I had a load of laundry leftover from the week, paperwork to do, and as the snow turned to rain, sleet and ice, hit the computer to get some paperwork finished-up. I kept checking the AccuWeather maps and local WGAL's forecast, as it was changing by the hour. By dark, the changeover to rain was dramatic, and it felt like a Biblical rain outside. Just glad it wasn't snow. The snowplow crew came thru during the rain, and cleared out the 2-3" of snow/ice/slush. After dinner, I watched Discovery's "Expedition Unknown" until midnight, and bagged it for the day.

Up at 7:30a on Sunday, to a cloudy, rainy, 32° morning, I upped the condo and garage heat, fired-up the computer to let the code load, made coffee and had a couple of smokes. I tuned into some of the "CS Show" podcasts and news to pass the morning, had breakfast, did the daily BSL finger sticks, got the garbage ready to go to the curb, and moved the Jeep out of the garage, since the snow had quit and temps were at 39°. The hood was splattered w/ birdshit, and I wanted to get it wetted by the ongoing rain, so I could wipe it down, later. Final "official" snow tally was 2.6", for the York area. We got off light, as many areas around us got anywhere from 4-8".

After a Sunday shave and daily shower, I had some weekly chores to do around the condo, had lunch and watched Motor Trend's "Garage Squad" and Discovery's "Homestead Rescue" for the rest of what remained of the afternoon. By 5p, it was almost dark, and I closed down the condo. After Pot Roast for dinner, I watched Discovery's "Fantom Works" and History's "Homestead Rescue" until 11:30, and unplugged.

Did you hear shit-for-brains Lunch Bucket Joey Biden's hate-filled, wacko Jan 6th speech? It was supposed to be his "January 6th Speech at Valley For" but it was January 5th at Blue Bell, PA... NOT as advertised by the corrupt DNC-media, but I repeat myself. Trump had something to say about it, and so did Tucker Carlson. Heh. And Bidet had to be led off of the stage by his babysitter/wifey skank, because he's a rutabaga vegetable.

Awake and up at 5:30a on Monday, at 0-Dark-Thirty, it was 36° and not snowing or raining. (I liked the snow, personally.) So far, we've been spared the bitter cold temps from Canada, but we'll get some. The new bag of Italian Dark Roast House Coffee was full and robust, and a good wake-up beverage. By 9a, I'd made a 2nd carafe, and was enjoying it. The sun appeared by 10a, and it looked like a nice day ahead.

I tuned into the "Chris Stigall Show LIVE" from 6-9a, and then the "Chris Plante Show LIVE" 9-12noon, had a bit of lunch -- Grilled Cheese w/ Ham Sandwich & Potato Salad -- and left at 12:30p for my usual Monday run south to Dallastown's DeVono's Cleaners, and on the way back, stops at a Rutter's Convenience Store, at Rite Aid for waiting Rxs, and at Royal Farms for the Jeep's 23gal (of 25 gal) fill-up of Ethanol Free 90 Oct Premium and then home. It took almost 2 hours -- for a 40 min round trip -- due to heavily-trafficked construction chokepoints and so many delays. After unpacking and putting all the stuff away, the weather changed quickly into a heavy overcast and dropping temps as the storm system's trailing backside passed thru. Sure looked and smelled like more snow. I grabbed a 2hr snooze on the LR couch.

Getting dark when I woke, I closed down, checked the day's news and had some dinner. It was another NBC (Nothing But Crap) night for TV, but History's "Ancient Aliens" carried me thru until 11:30. Lights out.

Up at 6:30a on Tuesday -- I'd nicely overslept -- hurried and got the routine done, before JoAnne gets here. Heat, coffee, computer, news and weather, smokes etc. Another heavily overcast, 31° and heavy rain/snow coming from the Midwest/Upper Plains' NEW snow storm/blizzard. Hey, it's Winter! The heavy rain and wind was already in play, and both a ***High Wind Warning*** and ***Flood Warning*** were posted to local news and weather websites. People are out cleaning-out the convenience and grocery store for the "4 W's" (White stuff -- Milk, white bread, eggs and TP, in "preparation". Heh. JoAnne arrived at 8:30a, and got to work. I tuned into the usual "Chris Stigall Show LIVE" from 6-9a, and then the "Chris Plante Show LIVE" 9-12noon.

JoAnne did her usual great job cleaning, and I decided to go to Weis Market tomorrow, at 11a or so, to get only a few things. It was pouring and cold outside, and I didn't want to get soaked today. I had a warmed-up Pit Beef Sandwich, Onions, Horseradish, Fries & Beans for lunch, finished some paperwork, and had a long 3hr nap on the LR couch. The rain and the now-horizontal wind were HOWLING! At least it wasn't snow, or we'd be buried. One of my breakers -- to the recently repaired front lamp post -- in the basement fuse box, has now tripped 4x, likely from the horizontal rain outside, so I have reset it for the night. DAMN! We had it repaired, or so we thought, as it's worked perfectly since October '23. After some dinner, I watched the news, and switched over to History's "The Curse of Oak Island", for the evening, until 11p. Lights out.

Up at 7a on Wednesday, the rain had abated, the wind was still howling at 30-40-50mph, it was still overcast, but a "balmy" 41° outside. After again resetting one of the basement breakers for the 4th time, I did the usual morning routines, tuned into the "CS Show" and savored the coffee and a couple of smokes. After scanning the weather and news sites, I LOLed; looks like house plants now contribute to climate change... Un-fricking-believable! Sherry's coming over at 1:30p, and I've decided to go food shopping tomorrow, if w2e don't go to Flinchbaugh's Orchard & Farm Market, today.

I made some call to local vacuum retailer service centers, and found one who services the Dyson Outsize Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, instead of sending it back to Dyson for service, which will take 4-6 weeks. Sherry and I spent 2+ hours looking at Dyson crap on the Net, and I was prepared to order replacement filters for the "SV12 -- Model #???"/ unit, but which unit? There are a confusing number of them, and my unit doesn't have the unit's N.A.M.E. on it! Small detail. Screw Dyson!

We had a good time together, as always, despite Dyson BS (my fault), and she left just after 4. I had an early dinner, settled-in to watch the 6p evening news (Fox) -- I skipped the "Town Hall" crap format w/ Trump -- watched History's "American Pickers" until 11p, and unplugged.

Up at 6:30a on Thursday, at a sunny 34°, the front lamp post light was out again, so I reset it in the basement breaker box, emailed my electrician about the new/recurring problem, upped the heat, made coffee, had a smoke in the garage, and tuned into the "CS Show". More smokes, more coffee, and I checked the load of incoming eMail, and answered a bunch from yesterday. At 9, the "CP Show" came on, I did the morning BSL finger stick and recorded it, had breakfast, and kept relaxing. I called-in my morning order to Pasta Plus, forp/u tomorrow at the New Eastern Farmers' Market By noon, I'd had enough 'relaxing' and left to get some food shopping done at Weis Market.

Back home within an hour, I'd only spent $101, unpacked and had some lunch. I continuied my basement prep area food shelf inventory and can rotation, and grabbed a 2hr snooze on the LR couch. Thursday is a notorious" NBC" (Nothing But Crap) day/night for TV, so after closing down the condo when the sun disappeared, I watched the news and some Motor Trend "Mecum Auto Auction" from Kissimmee (FL) until 10. Some seriously nice and very expensive hardware at that auction. I watched NEWSMAX until 11, and called it a day.

Tomorrow starts a new week here in the "Journal", and I have a Dr's appt on Tuesday with serious snow forecast, so that appt might have to change on Monday, but otherwise a clear week. I'm headed into the farm market in the morning to p/u my order, andf will see Sherry at 1p. She always makes a wonderful day for me.

The US is in A Dark Place.

We are in a dark place as a country. This is a direct result of the extreme shift to the Left by the Democrat Party. Prior to 2020, President Barack Obama was our most far-Left President. But even Obama was still on the cusp between being an extreme liberal and being a communist. In a recent book, John Drew wrote about his occasional meetings with Obama in the early 1980s and that Drew -- a leftist at that time -- had persuaded Obama to accept a more moderate position than that of the hardcore Marxists. In another article in the same book, Trevor Loudoun reveals that Obamacare was a dilution of the healthcare plans desired by the Marxists in that it did not replace all private healthcare with a national, government-run healthcare system. However, in July 2020, the camp pushing Joe Biden towards the Presidency and the camp promoting the communist Bernie Sanders’ candidacy reached a landmark agreement -- a 110-page pact regarding goals for the government. In so doing, Joe Biden broke the policy of the Democrats going back to 1948 of not embracing the far-Left, communist element of the Democrat Party.

The language of the Biden-Sanders pact is dry and opaque, and most citizens would not have the patience to plow through it. Convoluted and turgid prose is, to this writer, a clear sign of an attempt to obscure the purposes and direction that the writers intend to take. In this case, it is clear that the intent of the Democrats is to implement communistic revisionism into government policies, to overthrow the values that inhere and undergird our legal system, to overthrow the principle of private property either through nationalization or through infiltration of and control of the private sector.

In 1948, Henry Wallace, former vice president and secretary of Commerce and Agriculture, ran for President as the candidate of the Progressive Party. He identified himself with defending the Soviet Union from the attacks and hostility of the Truman administration. Thus, despite his impressive résumé, there was an invisible but real line between the “progressive” or Left-leaning Democrats and the hard Left or pro-communist elements. When the pact between Biden and Sanders was signed, that invisible line was erased. A couple of months later, the Democrat 90-page Platform was published and most of the positions found in the Biden-Sanders pact were contained therein.

The new system is wholly based on atheism and its replacement of Judeo-Christian morality with what the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche called a “transvaluation of values” where that which has for centuries been deemed good based on Judeo-Christian values is now replaced by DEI, ESG,and identity redefinitions regarding men, women, children, right, wrong, work, and life. Marx’s economic dialectic is now conjoined with cultural Marxist themes that assume a country with soulless identities. Those identities are no longer fit to control and manage the government through representative government but are to be managed by that government for the good of all. This follows the philosophical principles first enunciated by the French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

Further, in order to fully grasp the extent of our “dark place,” we also need to be alert to the significance of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030. This document with 91 sections is the vision of the new world government which the UN hopes to fully establish by 2030. Before considering this document, we need to consider where the UN has been while all the conflict is going on in the world. The UN, with its traditional peacekeeping functions and powers, seems nowhere to be found in stories about the fighting in Ukraine, in bringing peace in the Middle East, in Yemen, in Syria, or in Gaza for that matter. UN troops fought in Korea and the UN has had troops in other war-torn areas. Yet, Agenda 2030, the UN’s vision for world governance, has no discussion of police or military power. Further, unlike the original United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1946, there is no discussion of “rights.” The word “rights” only appears once in Section 19 of this latest major document, although in 1946 rights appeared in every other sentence. In this latest “vision,” the key terms that keep reappearing are “needs” and “sustainability.”

The emphasis on needs is lifted directly from the Marxist playbook, which stresses “from each according to his ability to each according to his needs.” Sustainability is a more modern economic goal intended to call our attention to the fact that we all -- whether or not we live in a developed country, a less-developed country (LDC), or a less-developed developing country (LDDC) -- need planet Earth. We all need the air, the sunlight, the rain, the oceans, the oxygen, and yes, some CO2. We all need our energy resources, and presumably by speaking about needs and the sustainability of the world as a whole, we are thereby going to take our minds off ourselves and our present advantages over others who have the same basic needs as we.

Under Agenda 2030, it is assumed that need and sustainability will be properly handled -- i.e., unselfishly -- by a world government. That government will be the United Nations, which, as we know, is filled with hundreds of unselfish individuals. Nevertheless, in our present world crises, the UN seems strangely not to be in play. At the same time, for the one-world government types, driving electric cars is going to help us find common cause with -- to identify with -- people who need to walk two miles through the jungle to find clean water to bring back to their villages in pots carried on their heads. Through a leap of faith, we are asked to believe that doing without gasoline is caring about those distant people in straitened circumstances. Thus, by buying into the sustainability narrative, one can have a pretense toward Mother Theresa-style self-sacrifice and a relieved conscience without ever having to leave one’s own home to personally help the underserved of this world.

The UN’s lack of peacekeeping in our present world with its many conflicts is by design. The UN is now operating under a Marxist-themed agenda to which we are a signatory. The Biden administration has made a pact with Sanders thereby displaying its radical shift away from individual rights and Judeo-Christian morality and merging into a collectivist, non-Judeo-Christian mindset. The eerie silence about the role of the UN in the midst of our many conflicts is troubling because it suggests hidden, dark manipulations. Incredible, unprecedented events will continue to unfold.

A Kick In The Nuts.

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so, I sat down and had a cold beer.

The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.

My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing, and I said, "Nothing."

The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is because she then would have asked, "About what?"

At that point I would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics, which would lead to other questions.

Finally I pondered an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?

Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they know?

Well, after another beer, and some more heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with an answer to that question.

Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though I obviously couldn't really know, here is the reason for my conclusion:

A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."

But you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."

I rest my case.

Time for another beer. Then maybe a nap.

Free Steamboat Willie

Copyright law couldn't hold those big ears back any longer! On January 1, 2024, the copyright term of thousands of 1928 cultural works expired—including the iconic animated Disney film Steamboat Willie. Recorded sound from 1923 is also now freely available for reuse as well.

Directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks, Steamboat Willie is a significant cartoon—well-known for being the third film of Disney's to feature Mickey Mouse and one of the first to have synchronized sound. It also features a fully post-produced soundtrack, making it one of the earliest cartoons to have this feature.

We all can now celebrate the freedom of one of the most famous cartoon characters of all time with a copy of the film in the Archive for everyone to play or download. However, we also encourage you to take a look at the many other great movies and works available now on the Internet Archive for public (and copyright free!) enjoyment.
