yes, 2016 will finally be the year it happens.
This is the year in which Obama’s foreign policy completely unravels, and the jackals of the world are unleashed upon the forces of good, forces that are sadly represented by feckless and politically correct leaders. It will be a year that is a decision point for the West and the free world, whether to completely collapse in the wake of Islamic extremism or to fight back and destroy ISIS once and for all.
ISIS has suffered some losses in the Middle East, but their grip on Syria and much of Central and Northern Iraq, remains intact. They know there is no liberation force coming to free the oppressed peoples of Syria and Iraq. They know they have at least another year to murder their way across the Middle East.
There is no V for Victory being flashed over the skies of Syria and Iraq. Instead, the first notes of Del Shannon’s, “Runaway” are being flashed in Morse Code.
But, the gravest ISIS threat is not in the Middle East. Rather, it is in Western Europe and the United States. Both continents offer ISIS a seemingly endless supply of "soft targets", what the Air Force likes to a call a "target rich environment".
Targets can be hit with anything from high tech weaponry, to rudimentary bombs cooked up in a kitchen in a Brussels walk-up.
The ISIS jackals have money and the power of social media at their hands and the infinite fuel of radical Islamic ideology at their disposal. Sadly, 2016 will see more Paris and San Bernardino attacks. ISIS is determined to fight us to the death. But, apparently, we aren’t.
It is only a matter of time before the ISIS jackals unleash the horror of chemical, biological or nuclear devastation on the world.
And, what is the state of those who have to fight the jackals?
What will Obama do? Let me some it up for you in one word, Zilch. The President’s rallying cry to fight the ISIS jackals is “much ado about nothing.”
The President’s strategy is to run out the clock in a permanent victory formation for the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, there are no victories. There is nothing but defeat and chaos in the world, much of it instigated by the incompetent fools in his administration.
There will be no leadership coming from the US. There will be no US led, coalition ground force in the Middle East. There will be no increase in the five sorties a day air campaign being conducted by the US. In effect, nothingness will be the order of the day.
Last week, the Obama administration was bragging about a whopping 150 air strikes that had been conducted against ISIS in December. Anyone with a third grade knowledge of math knows that equals roughly five a day. And, that’s what the White House deems to be “increased” air strikes.
Putin, is not Andropov or Khrushchev or Hitler. Putin is a modern day czar, with a KGB twist. He certainly believes in power projection and once again increasing the size of Russia to the old USSR’s boundaries. But, Russia and the US have some mutual interests. We need to utilize those mutual interests to find common ground on things we don’t agree upon.
Merkel, once considered a competent shining star from the former East Germany, is nothing more than a fool at best and a willing destroyer of her nation at worst. Why anyone, with the cancer of radical Islam engulfing the world, would call for practically unlimited Muslim immigration to their country is unknown: unless that leader is intent on destroying her country. Merkel’s love affair with the German people is done. If she was the leader in a country with a more vocal and less sheep like population such as in the UK or the US, she would have already been run out of the country by of irate citizens with pitch forks.
Hollande, is doing his best after the Paris attacks. French intelligence and security services are first rate and are not beset with the politically correct paralysis that has stricken the US. But, he is the leader of France and France is not the US. They can only do so much against ISIS in the Middle East. They can only lead so far. At the end of the day, without the US to the rescue, all Hollande can do is attempt to secure his own country.
The supreme force on the planet that could destroy ISIS in a matter of months is the US military. But, the US military is suffering from budgetary, readiness and social engineering maladies. This is not the same US military that led the wars against Iraq and Afghanistan in 2002 and 2003. This is certainly not the goliath US military that destroyed Saddam’s legions in 1991.
This is a US military that is fighting ISIS with one finger, while watching its other arm being cut off by Congress and feminists.
Let us not forget the other jackals in the world as well, who attempt to hide behind the sheer curtain of civilized behavior, but whose actions indicate otherwise.
China is on the move in the South China Sea. Inevitably, the US will have to project more power against the Chinese jackals. I don’t see this coming from the Obama White House. We also need a modern, powerful Navy that can do the job.
Iran will continue to play hide and seek with the Obama administration. They might be able to con John Kerry and Obama, but they aren’t fooling the Israelis. The Israelis know the clock is running out for them.
Will 2016 be the year Israel launches a massive military operation against Iran? It could be a very real possibility.
Who among the Presidential candidates is most qualified to confront the jackals? Certainly not Bernie Sanders, whose foreign policy would be something written in a Wellesley coffee house. Hillary is a legend in her own mind, but in reality, a walking, talking national security and foreign policy nightmare. Jim Webb would be a decent President, but that won’t happen in 2016.
The only answer is a President Trump or Cruz. They are the only candidates with a chance of winning and the acumen and intestinal fortitude to check the Chinese and Iranians and destroy the ISIS jackals.
If Hillary is elected and there is a good chance of that happening, the jackals will rule the world.

A Day In The Life
I slept-in until 8am on Friday, a dark, drizzly, very foggy 34°F morning. Heat, OJ, coffee, rye toast and the news. Ah, the "news". Stock market is nice and calm, best jobs report in over 2 years, and free sprinkles for everyones' ice cream cones. What a morning dose of BS. I streamed the Chris Plante Show, 9-12 ET on WMAL/DC, for a while and got a call from the cabinet maker, who was making Dad's new custom TV stand/cabinet for the flatscreen and CATV peripherals, in the sunroom. He and his wife wanted to deliver it at 2:30pm, so I agreed to that. Meanwhile, 3 FedEx deliveries arrived and I had to get that stuff unpacked. Also, Heidelbaugh's Appliance Co was scheduled to deliver/install his new KitchenAid microwave around 3pm. I also needed to check the work that the plumber did ysterday, in cleaning the floor drain and hopefully preventing anymore flooding in the basement. It would be a busy afternoon.
I made Breaded, Almond-Crusted Flounder Filets w/ Butter-Garlic Sauce and potato salad, for lunch. The Jeep's rear tire was holding air (36psi) just fine, so I left at 2pm to meet the cabinetmaker at Dad's. They were there when I arrived and we installed it in the sunroom, just as the appliance installer crew arrived, and parked us all into the driveway with their large truck. I was busy with the TV stand people and the installers got right to work. It took them 30 mins to remove the old microwave, and get the new one into place above the stove. But they brought the wrong model, so I'll have to deal with it on Monday. Damn. By the time I got home, it was 5:45 and dark. I caught the evening news, financials – DJIA down another 167pts for the day, and down 1,079pts for the week – watched new season episodes of Gold Rush and American Restoration, until almost midnight, and closed down for the night.
Up early at 5:30am on Saturday, from a weird "zombie apocaplypse" dream, which I've had before, it was a raw, drizzly, 35, fog-blinding morning. I shook-off the dream, got the heat on, made OJ and coffee, had an English Muffin w/ Marmalade, and checked the weather and news. And the PowerBall Lottery Jackpot is now $900 MILLION; no, I've never played the lottery and never will. Heh. I got the final 2 FedEx deliveries by 1pm, so I could leave and try to run some of the (maybe) bad gas out of the Jeep's tank, that I'd probably gotten two weeks ago on a fill-up of Regular 89oct. Down to 1/8th of a tank, I got home just as a massive t-storm front moved into the area, and the rains started, around 5pm. After a big plate of PA Dutch Chicken Pot Pie, I watched the evening news and found History Channel's offering of "American Picker" with 14 seasons, 181 episodes, online, and watched a few previous years' missed episodes until 11:30pm. Lights out.
The phone woke me up at 7am on Sunday. Dad called to ask for some help in putting the slats back into his bed frame base, as one had fallen out last night late, the bottom section of the box spring and mattress collapsed on to the floor, and he just slept on the couch in his upstairs office off his bedroom. I made coffee, got ready and left for North York around 9am. He'll be 92 in April, and sleeping on that couch for the night, had to suck. But it was nothing compared to what he went thru in WWII with Patton's 3rd Army Corps, 101st Infantry, 26th Combat Engineers, all thru Europe, Belgium, France, and hundreds of towns and hedgerows, St Lo, Ardennes, Bastonge and getting shot in The Battle of The Bulge. He was back in the Sunroon watching TV, enjoying a mug of coffee, and greeted me with a big smile. We fixed the bed, but since there were only two slats, instead of the usual 3 or 4, I needed to get some more made for him, so I measured everything. That's on my Monday to-do list, first thing. I worked on a couple of his laptop computer glitches, printed-out financial reports he needed, and we visited for a while. 52°F, rainy and unusually warm, but bitter cold coming thru tonite.
I left at 11:30, stopped at a local Rutter's Convenience Store, and picked-up a carton of Marlboro, and headed home. My fuel tank was down to between 1/8th and 1/16th, so I'd get a fill tomorrow or Tuesday, after running it down as far as I can. Getting back, I reheated the coffee, and drink several more mugs, to help clear the still-lingering "mind fog", and checked the weather and news. With no
I had laundry to get done, plus some paperwork which would be needed for this week. After a Ham & Swiss on Rye Sandwich, and Ham & Potato Cakes, and a bowl of Ham & Bean Soup, I streamed some of last weeks' Chris Plante Show Podcasts, and laid down on the LR couch for a short snooze. Back up at 5pm, I reheated the rest of the morning's coffee, caught the evening news, and watched Discovery's Killing Fields and History's Live To Tell shows, both new series 1st episodes. By 12:30am, temps had dropped into the mid-20s, I was nodding-off, closed down, armed the place and went to sleep.
The cold woke me at 8am, 22°F outside, heat off inside, and I'd forgotten to put the electric blanket back on after the last few weeks' night warmth. Robe, heat-on in the condo, OJ, coffee, an English Muffin w/ Keller's Butter, news and weather check, to catch-up on anything from last evening. I streamed the Chris Plante Show, 9-12 ET on WMAL/DC, for a while and got a call from my two invesment friends, to meet at the usual restaurant in Lancaster, for brunch at 11. We spent almost 3hrs talking about "Plan B & C" of our "firearms hobby", and decided to drive down to Freedom Armory to do some pistol target shooting. For no, we're not doing anything more in collecting or selling antiques, curios or relics. I left for home at 5:30,watched the evening news, switched over to new shows from Fast 'N Loud, and WTF Moments in Indycar (Part 1), until 11:45, and called it a day.
Up at 7 on Tuesday morning, it was another cold, 26°F start to the day, and the forecast snow squalls/showers should be just 100 miles or so, to our west, based upon last night's maps. I had a bowl of Del Monte® Red Grapefruit Sections, coffee and checked the weather and news details. Yes, the snow is heading toward us, and as cold as it it's been, will probably stick and make a mess. I needed to get down to Stewartstown, get the waiting Rxs at Rite Aid, do a little food shopping at Saubel's Market next door, do a drive-thru security/lightbulb check at the Old GC&N Complex, stop at the cleaners to p/u shirts, drop off some things at Dad's and get back home before the snow/ice arrives, in earnest. I left at 9:30.
Stopping to gas-up the Jeep, it was nice to see it at $2.05/gal, but I got a 20gal tankful of the premium at $2.35/gal, and drove the 20 miles south to Stewartstown. Gas ✔, Rxs ✔, food ✔. Within an hour, I had everything completed and headed north, up to the Old 20ac GC&N Complex, to do a security and outdoor light check, and then north to East York. After unpacking, I checked the computer's Accu-Weather.com website for the forecast supposed snow/ice, and sure enough: ***Special Weather Statement***...DANGEROUS SNOW SQUALLS EARLY THIS EVENING..., so I had time after lunch to get over to Dad's with some things I'd gotten for him at the market. I made the last of the Breaded, Almond-Crusted Flounder Filets w/ Butter-Garlic Sauce and Roasted Potatoes, containerized a meal for Dad, gathered his other foodstuffs, and left around 3pm. We had a nice, but short visit, as I had 3-4 other stops to make before the snow/ice arrived.
Those done, I headed back home around 5:30pm, just as the snow squalls blew thru, and dumped ¾ - 1". Everything was coated with the white stuff. Our first snow of the season. Temps dropped from the mid-30s to the low-20s, in under 30 minutes; the bitter weather had returned. I skipped lying sack-of-shit, islamist douchenozzle pResident "Bathhouse Barry" 0sambo's SOTU Speech, and watched the History marathon of Curse of Oak Island, Season 3, and the two new season 4 episodes, until 12:30am. (Here's the others: Season 1 and Season 2, FYI.) I closed down, armed the place and went up for some sleep. Tomorrow's another day.
The sunny, bright Wednesday morning woke me at 7am, and it was another bitter cold, 16°F outside. Heat and robe on, coffee, OJ and a Stack of French Toast. I checked the weather and news, saw a HUGE pile of 20 MS-Updates (only 6 rated "critical") waiting to be downloaded and installed. Scanning the weather and news, I briefly read some detail about last night's Big LIE from the psychotic Barry 0sambo, and skipped over to other news. He's still blaming ATMs for the lousy economy. I streamed the morning's live Chris Plante Show, 9-12 ET on WMAL/DC, and since I had some back/hip/leg pain, decided to stay inside, work on a small pile of paperwork, get some checks written and mailed, and complete my newly-arrived CCW Permit Renewal Re-Application for the York County Sheriff's Office. (Here's the podcast of Chris' show about the SOTU crap, last evening.) Although bitter cold outside, the sun was out and melted much of the snow on all hard surfaces, but not before I heard about the many, many accidents on the roads all thru the northern county.
By 12:30pm, I was finished with the bills, halfway thru the paperwork, and made an Olive Loaf Sandwich and a heaping bowl of Lentil & Vegetable Soup. High for the day would only be 31°F and started dropping around 5pm. I turned-on the evening news in the background, and heard that the DJIA had crashed 365pts again, and PowerBall was now up to $1.6 billion. Heh. American Pickers was on, so I watched until 12:15am, and called it a day.
Up at 6am on Thursday, it was a comparatively balmy 23°F outside, and I fired-up the furnace quickly to get the chill off the place. With coffee, I checked the weather and news sites. Heh, some people did win the lottery; good for them. Sadly, their troubles are only just now beginning. No, I've never played the lottery; might just as well flush the money down the dumper. IMO. More coffee and eggs benedict layered w/ canadian bacon, sauteed mushrooms, spinach, roasted tomato, and I needed to get to an 11am realtor meeting, and my 2 investor friends' meeting, in Lancaster, at 12noon. After 3hrs, we adjourned with a dossier each of several new "venues", well-researched for P/L, taxes, current laws, and another meeting late next week to make some decisions. The DJIA was up 228pts, finally. I had several stops in the Red Lion/Dallastown/Spry areas, and after those, headed home. I caught the evening news, watched some History Channel's Hunting Hitler, Season 1 early episodes, until the Prsidential Debate came on at 9pm, on FBN. By 11:30, I was nodding off, as the GOP "circlefest" mercifully came to an end, and called it quits. The cleaning ladies are here at 8:30am, and I needed some sleep.
Tomorrow begins a new week here in the "Journal", and my to-do list is long. It's prioritized, and the important things will have to get done. Hard to tell what shitstorm will unfold nationally and engulf us all, so allowances are built-in, just in case.
Conundrum.
The very definition of the word conundrum is "something that is puzzling or confusing". Here are six conundrums today, in the US:
1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
Think about it. That pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st century. Kind of makes you wonder who is doing the math.
These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment:
1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...
2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't. Think about it. And last but not least...
3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to all illegal aliens?
Am I the only one missing something?

First, Israel is preparing for war, after being attacked for years on many fronts, and not fighting back as she should have. This war will truly have "Biblical implications" around the world. The Middle East is rapidly-collapsing under the subhuman, murderous muslim/islamic riots (muslim Brotherhood) and rule ("arab Spring"), with world crude oil prices projected to hit $200+/bbl, or even higher into the $300-$400 range,

There are people who are still connected to the old one and can't conceive of life without that old paradigm. I think you saw that in the Great Depression. A lot of people never recovered from it because once that hit it was the end of their lives. claim. "Last week, President Barack Obama delivered some telling remarks to a fire station full of people in Roanoke, Virginia. I'll save you the trouble of reading the (long and uninspired) speech and provide you with the most interesting part:
"If you've got a business – you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." – President Barack Obama, July 13th, 2012.
It would be easy to respond with something along the lines of, "Somebody else made that happen? Who? Who magically imagined the product or service, started the business, built it up, and created the jobs? Who was it? The tooth fairy?" And to some extent, President Obama's statement is so ridiculous as to merit that sort of quick, flippant response.

However, he's not entirely wrong. This reminds me of an argument that Massachusetts Senate Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren would probably make. If he's talking about a mid-sized or large business, where an entrepreneur has hired additional employees, then at that point the business's success isn't purely that of its founder.
Employees add value to a business through work and ideas. That's why you hire employees, after all. Steve Jobs didn't invent every last detail of the phones, computers, and tablets to come out of Apple over the last decade. There were engineers working on those products who developed them. So, employees help entrepreneurs to build their business. "Somebody else" did indeed play a part in making that happen.
But what makes the president's remarks so inane is the totality of what he's saying. He's not saying that entrepreneurs and employees work together to build a business. It's not a collaborative effort. It's all thanks to the employees. Usually, I can understand the way the president's mind works on most issues by examining it through a pragmatic, liberal, or progressive framework. This one baffles me.
As I explained, I can see that he has some of a point, but he's still just obviously wrong on the broader point. Sure, the employees help to build the business, but the business itself wouldn't exist without the entrepreneur. So, to say to entrepreneurs and to business owners, "...you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen," is just wrong. It's silly. They did build that by setting the foundation for the business.
Entrepreneurs are almost always the hardest workers in their business. They work a simply insane number of hours to get their idea off the ground. If they succeed (and they face a tremendous risk if they don't), then they'll start to grow and to hire employees to help. Honestly, if I were an entrepreneur and I read those remarks by the president, I would be furious. It's a tremendous insult to the true job-creators in America, entrepreneurs.
In the context of a long, somewhat rambling campaign speech that touched on every issue under the sun, it may seem as though I'm over-exaggerating the importance of a minor thing he said. But President Obama isn't a stupid man, or even one who makes off-the-cuff remarks he doesn't really mean. He's a very smart man, and he meant what he said.
When the most important issues for most Americans are economic growth and job creation, I believe it's essential to know exactly where both candidates stand on the importance of entrepreneurs.
