Can men get pregnant?
Years ago, such a question would have been an insult to the intelligence of anyone above the age of 8.
[FULL tITLE: "We are in a bizarro world where doctors and lawyers feel compelled to mislead the public on who is a woman"]
And yet, Dr. Nisha Verma, a senior advisor to the nonprofit Physicians for Reproductive Health, attempted a rhetorical bob-and-weave when asked about it by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) at a congressional hearing on abortion pills Wednesday.
“I take care of people with many identities,” Verma said before expressing a hestitation about where Hawley was going with his line of questioning.
“The goal is just to establish a biological reality,” Hawley said. “You just said a moment ago that science and evidence should control, not politics. So let’s just test that proposition. Can men get pregnant?”
The doc, who presumably knows a thing or two about the reproductive system in humans, dug in — to the detriment of her reputation.
She called “yes/no questions” political tools and insisted Hawley’s query reduced the issue’s “complexity” and was also polarizing.
One wonders if she accused her professors of the same behavior while in medical school at the University of North Carolina.
But admitting that men cannot give birth would subject Verma, a Democrat witness, to ridicule inside her progressive bubble, where identity and ideology trump objective truth and science.
She’s not alone.
Just a day earlier, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito asked attorney Kathleen Hartnett another simple question during oral arguments over state laws banning transgender athletes in women’s sports.
“And what is that definition? For equal protection purposes, what does it mean to be a boy or a girl or a man or a woman?” Alito asked.
Hartnett, who was representing a transgender athlete, said “we do not have a definition for the court.”
To which Alito responded: “How can a court determine whether there’s discrimination on the basis of sex without knowing what sex means for equal protection purposes?”
Indeed, what are we doing here? We’re arguing about an issue that hinges on simple biological definition that these medical and legal professionals are simply unable or, more likely, unwilling to offer.
This was a especially ridiculous week for progressives, who showed that they are a seriously unserious bunch — despite declaring themselves the party of science and sticking all those “In this house, we believe … ” signs on their lawns.
For years, activists have used language to create an alternative reality, one rewired to suit the transgender minority.
One where non-trans people are “cisgender” and gender is “assigned at birth” by physicians — a phrase so outrageous, it evokes the image of doctor with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, pulling an F or M out of a bingo spinner.
It’s been a full scale effort from the left to blur the sex binary and subjugate anyone daring enough to call it out as nonsense. In fact, the act of “misgendering” once resulted in bans from Twitter. (Those censorious polices are what led Elon Musk to buy the platform in 2022.)
During her 2022 Supreme Court confirmation hearings, Ketanji Brown Jackson was asked by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) to define “woman.”
“No, I can’t … I’m not a biologist,” Brown said without an ounce of shame. She knew she was risking alienating the base.
Wielding control of cultural institutions and corporate culture, activists as well as also regular old well-intentioned liberals tried to create a new reality in which sex is not immutable and identity takes priority over science.
But this isn’t 2022 anymore. No one fears the social-justice mob or cancellation. Call us transphobes. Call us bigots. Deployed to dismiss a point of view and avoid a conversation about real facts that would disrupt their worldview, these labels have zero impact.
Our society is no long buckling under the tyranny of the pronoun police.
If the left wants to continue to wander the political desert for another four years, rudderless and obsessively clinging to a fantasy, by all means.
One cannot change their sex, nor can a man give birth. Only those with common sense are willing to admit it.

Up at 8:45a on Friday, a mild, 23°F, overcast, breezy morning, I upped the heat, made coffee, fired-up the Win-7 Pentium HP Desktop to let its 32 million lines of code load, had breakfast, had a couple smokes in the garage and checked the leftover errands list. I scanned the weather -- light snow coming tonite and tomorrow -- and the rapidly-breaking news, tuned into the "CP Show LIVE" at 9, and relaxed for the morning.
A ***Winter Weather Advisory*** was posted on local TV stations and websites; sounds like "much ado about nothing", for tomorrow morning:

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1
I had a couple local errands to do, field some calls from the Wellspan Endocrinology Dept and my Attorney, and was back home by 3p. A neighbor stopped by to ask some gardening-related questions for her unit, and by 5, it was dark. I had the last of the morning's "Kenya AA" Coffee, settled in to watch the 6p news, and have some dinner. I switched to Discovery's "Gold Rush" and "Gold Rush: Mine Rescue" until 12:30a, and bagged it for the night.
The more I watch liberal white women, the more I understand the Salem Witch Trials.
Awake and up at 7:15a on Saturday, a heavily overcast, heavily snowing, cold 27° morning. I'm like a 54yr old kid, all GIDDY with a new, heavy snow... where's my snowsuit? My galoshes? My mittens? Heh.
After an Onion Bagel for breakfast, I tuned into local WSBA-910AM for the 3hr podcast of one of Chris Plante's radio show, and scanned the weather maps and news. I made lunch, the sun came out, temps rose into the mid-30s, and the beautiful snow began melting. No errands, so I worked on getting 2025 Tax 1099s located saved and printed for the CPA's folder -- and my Canon PIXMA TS-200 Printer still isn't working, since Sherry was here on Wednesday). Damn!
I watched the evening news, and switched to History's "Ancient Aliens", MT's "Roadworthy Rescues" and TWC's "Weather Gone Viral" until 12 midnight. Good night, Irene.
Awake at 7a and up to another beautiful 2" snowfall -- two days in a row! -- a cold 21°, I upped the heat, made a carafe of the delicious "Kenya AA" Coffee, and admired the 2" frosting on the outdoor landscape, thru the 4ft x 9ft sunroom-office windows. I tuned into one of the "CP Show Podcasts" from last week, on iHeart.com, and just relaxed. After getting ready for the day, I started a load of laundry, made a nice brunch, scanned the weather and news, and took a 2hr snooze on the LR couch.
I made dinner, watched the evening news, and switched to History's "American Picker" until 12:30a, and called it "Yankee Doodle" for the day.
Up at 8a on Monday, an overcast, very cold 24° morning, I upped the heat, made coffee, scanned the weather and news, and tuned into the usual "CP Sow", from 9-12. We'd had freezing rain and light snow overnight, so the roads and streets -- everything -- was covered in ice. I waited until 12:30p to leave for the usual errand trip south of York, and most of the snow/ice had melted by then. Traffic was very heavy.

Back home by 2p, I unloaded, moved the recycle and garbage bins to the curb for morning p/u, had lunch, re-scanned the news and weather, and took a short 60min nap. I had the phone on charge, and got 3 calls; screw it, I'll get back to them tomorrow. After dinner, I watched the evening news, and switched to Discovery's "Iron Resurrection" until 11:30. Lights out. My cleaning lady's in at 8:30.
Up at 6a on Tuesday with the alarm, I fired-up the furnace, made coffee, scanned the weather and news. It's 0-DARK-THIRTY, a bitter cold 17°, and a major, East Coast crippling storm forecast for the weekend. I had a large breakfast after JoAnne finished and left at 11a, took a 2hr nap on the LR couch, and was back up early afternoon.
I called Sherry to see how she was doing, after a nasty bout with the flu, and we're still on for tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon, after I get back from a haircut app't. I made a fresh carafe of "Blue Batavia" Coffee, worked on gathering receipts for 2025 Taxes, and some other paperwork, watched the evening news, made a small dinner, and switched to History's "Curse of Oak Island" until 12:30a, and bagged it for the day.
Up at 6a (with the alarm), on Wednesday, a brutally cold 10°, 0-DARK-THIRTY, upped the heat, had a couple smokes in the cold garage, fired-up the Ol' HP Desktop, and scanned the weather and news. Looks like the forecast is predicting a very nasty blizzard (their words, not mine) for the Mid Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast, so Many, many millions will be impacted. We're way overdue for a major snow storm, and this weekend's weather may be it. I listened to the "CP Show" until 10:30a, and left for my 11:00 haircut app't.
Traffic was light and I made good time on the round trip. Back by 11:39, I had some lunch, and waited for Sherry to arrive, around 1p. She did, and we had a nice 2hrs together, until we saw the approaching snow, an the AccuWeather radar maps. My suggestion: get you food shopping done and get home quickly, before the snow and ice arrive. She took it and left around 3. Well, the approaching line of snow was a big nothingburger, according to the maps... but at least she got her shopping done. I made dinner, watched the news and switched to Discovery's "Expedition Unknown", until 12... heck, I fell asleep in the luxurious leather recliner in front of the 82" TV. Lights out at 3a.
Up at 9a on Thursday, a sunny, 'balmy' 41°, morning. I fired-up the furnace, made coffee, took a 250mg Bayer Aspirin for the hip/leg pain, and tuned into the "CP Show" from 9-12. I saw this notice posted on AccuWeather:
★★★ WINTER STORM ADVISORY! ★★★
• WHAT... WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON... Heavy snow with significant accumulations possible. Snow may mix with or transition to sleet in southern PA on Sunday and Sunday night.
• WHEN... From Saturday evening through Monday afternoon. From Saturday evening after 7:00 PM through Monday afternoon. Periods of snow expected. Possibly mixed with some freezing rain and sleet. Total snow accumulations 8 to 10". Ice accumulation around 1-3".
• WHERE... Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Schuylkill, and York Counties.
• IMPACTS... Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult late Saturday night through Monday morning.+
• PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting 511PA.com. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
I was sitting at my office-sunroom window, on the computer, enjoying morning coffee, and this song -- Amy Grant song, "Oh How The Years Go By" -- came to mind. Nice tune.
I got calls from Weis Pharmacy about waiting Rxs, so I planned to leave at 11:30p, after their lunch hour, and get those, and get back home, before the roads got clogged with traffic. Back home in 40mins, I had lunch, took a 2hr+ nap, got up to the dark, andf Sherry called to reschedule tomorrow's get together, due to the coming storm. I closed-up the condo, watched the evening news, had a light dinner, and switched to History's "Ancient Aliens" until 11:30p, and bagged it.
Tomorrow starts a new week, here in the "Journal", and the Dr app'ts are beginning; I have my PCP Dr mid-week, and February gets busier. Otherwise, clear. She and I will talk over the weekend, after her schedule becomes clear.
Why Leftist White Women Are Leading Domestic Terrorism In Minnesota.

White leftist women reacted to the shooting of Renee Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officer (ICE) last week with screaming, tantrums, and public meltdowns. What’s more, they’re stepping up their harassment of ICE officers who are only carrying out their lawful duties.
Anyone who has paid attention to the news and to social media this week is getting their eyes opened to the level of emotional derangement in modern leftist women. They’re pitching profane fits on the street and abusing ICE officers, perhaps thinking they’ll have better luck in that pursuit than Good did.
This post from the X/Twitter account “Chief Trumpster” has a great example:
This is largely, though not exclusively, a woman problem. The way to deal with adults who act like toddlers is to deal with them as toddlers; we have to enact swift, consistent, and appropriately stern consequences. There’s more to say on this, but first we have to look at where we are and how we got here.
Out with the Patriarchy, In with the Gynocracy
At least 60 years of mainstreamed feminism has put American culture under the stiletto heel of entitled and exploitative women. They’ve come a long way from the days of “just asking for equal pay for equal work.” Of course, the “gender pay gap,” is a myth, and any legitimate grievances feminism may have had were resolved decades ago.
We’re not living in a patriarchy, but in a gynocracy ruled by real-life versions of the wicked queens and stepmothers from fairy tales.
Social media is teeming with examples this week. Women from their 20s to their 70s are on the streets shrieking through bullhorns at cops who are trying to protect them and other Americans from illegal aliens who have no business here. Take a look at this lady waving her sign around and hooting with that familiar glazed look in her eyes.
We’ve all seen the gruesome consequences of the Biden open borders policies. College student Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal from Venezuela in 2024. Twelve-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray met the same fate in June 2024 at the hands of two men, also illegals from Venezuela.
How did so many leftist American women decide that young foreign men who jump the border are innocent victims in need of their maternal protection, instead of the American girls and young women entitled to be shielded from these men?
The answer appears to be Cluster B personality disorders. These are deep, ingrained characteristics. Those with such disorders are fundamentally narcissistic, emotionally unstable, and often disconnected from reality. But do not let the name fool you. The term “disorder” should not be taken to mean “disability.”
While these severe mental conditions are grouped under the headings of psychiatry and psychology, they are not medical conditions, but moral conditions. Psychologist George K. Simon is one of the few professionals who recognize that these are character and moral distortions, not blameless medical ailments. To the person with a Cluster B disorder, up is down, black is white, evil is good, and perpetrators are victims.
This is what we’re seeing in these female leftist “protestors.” Cluster B personalities are all about dysregulated emotions (usually rage or suicidal despair) and twisting reality into its opposite. As difficult as this is for stable people to grasp at first, the model explains otherwise incoherent behavior.
There is nothing new about this type of derangement. What’s different today is the prevalence. When I became aware of the “dramatic and erratic” personality disorders 10 years ago, it was clear that the kind of psychology behind domestic and child abuse had metastasized into the wider society.
When you see these deranged, screaming street “demonstrations,” they probably look to you like toddler tantrums. That’s because they are. Cluster B personalities are characterized by arrested emotional development around the toddler stage. We must deal with childish behavior in adults the way we deal with it in children.
What Would That Look Like?
First, we must enact swift and proportionate consequences. For too long, leftist agitators, especially women, have been given the hands-off treatment. Too many of these videos show cops wasting time issuing repeated orders to stop the car and get out while the harpies behind the wheel only escalate. Give the order clearly once. If she disobeys, cuff her and put her in the paddy wagon.
This video from Minneapolis shows one way to do it. Though the ICE cops didn’t move quickly enough, they ended this woman’s attempts to frustrate their operation. They got her out of the car (having to cut her seatbelt since she refused to cooperate), cuffed her, and sent her to the station.
Like toddlers throwing tantrums, the leftist women attacking federal officers need to be told ‘no.’Second, we have to reject the “women are wonderful” effect. This is a phenomenon that describes how both men and women have an in-built pro-female bias. We can look at a man and a woman both performing the same bad action, but we’ll excuse the woman while condemning the man.
Ill-tempered women in America have gotten away with disorderly and criminal behavior at high rates because of this bias. They know it, and they use it deliberately. This woman was tailing ICE and interfering with their operation, pulled the “I’m just a mom!” card when she was caught and forced to stop. Don’t fall for it.
Finally, men have to go back to telling women “no.” This is the piece of advice most people have the hardest time with. Women hate hearing it. Many men do, too. We’ve been so hypnotized for so long by feminism that simply telling women “no,” and suggesting that a man ever exercise authority over a woman, is read by otherwise reasonable people as “misogyny.”
Nonsense. If women are full adults with as much agency as men, then they must be treated that way. Men have become knock-kneed with fear, even contemplating telling women “no.” It’s not an unreasonable worry. In my counseling practice, male clients have told me that simply holding female underlings to the same standards as males has resulted in complaints to HR that the men are “aggressive” with women.
Men, I’m afraid we’re going to have to do it anyway. They’re going to call us misogynists. They’re going to tell us we have “an aggressive tone” with women. This is merely the same toddler distraction behavior that ends up exploding in these absurd and dangerous street performances.
Men are not going to get through this without the accusations, and we have to accept that as the price we pay for helping put civil society back in order. The women will be fine. Sooner or later, the stroppy toddler cries it out and starts behaving sanely again.
