america wakes up to woke

friday, july 21st, 2023

Wokeness was envisioned as a new reboot of the coalition of the oppressed.

Those purportedly victimized by traditional America would find “intersectional” solidarity in their victimhood owing to the supposed sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other alleged American sins, past and present.

The so-called white male heterosexual victimizing class was collectively to be held responsible for their sinful triad of white “rage,” “supremacy,” and “privilege.”

I don't understand why Women vote Democrat, or Jews vote Democrat, because the Dermocrat Party stands for YOUR EXTINCTION.

Class considerations became passé. The Duchess of Sussex, and the billionaires Oprah Winfrey and LeBron James, shared grievances against all whites, whether they hailed from Martha’s Vineyard or impoverished East Palestine, Ohio.

A bicoastal elite would draft the woke agenda and the oppressed would follow as ordered.

That top-down blueprint would embrace massive multibillion-dollar reparations to blacks.

In lockstep, all victims would rally around a Green New Deal that mandated high energy costs to discourage consumption of fossil fuels.

The new transgender canon mandated three sexes. Sex is socially rather than biologically determined. And there is a large, oppressed, and transgender population: this presents the next great civil rights struggle for America.

Government solutions, aren't.

Historical wokeism lodged a list of grievances against the supposedly flawed American past. Indicting the dead required statues to be toppled. Names had to be changed. Histories were to be rewritten. Even the foundational date of America was to be reconsidered and altered.

Yet, the rainbow fabric of woke is now fraying—and for a variety of reasons.

For one thing, woke took off after the perfect storm of the COVID pandemic, the devastating lockdown, the 120 days of violent rioting and looting following the death of George Floyd, and years of endemic Trump Derangement Syndrome. Most of those catalysts are waning. Temporarily unhinged Americans are slowly reviving. Millions of the comatose are waking up to normality—and don’t recognize their own country.

Men make the best women.

Two, woke is retrogressive, reactionary, and anti-civilizational. Decriminalizing the legal code, defunding the police, failing to apply norms to the homeless population, and destroying meritocracy have all hollowed out our major cities.

San Francisco was a far cleaner, safer, and kinder city 20, 40, or 80 years ago than it is today.

A woke FBI, Pentagon, or airline industry becomes a matter of life and death.

Three, in modern America, class is now a far more accurate metric of oppression than race or gender.

It is one thing to restrict fossil fuel development if you are in the upper one percent income bracket, quite another if you commute 50 miles a day in a used car. If there are to be reparations, why include Eric Holder or Al Sharpton, but not indigent Hispanics, Asians, and poor whites?

Democrats; they're not on our side.

The multimillionaire, and prep-school and Ivy-League educated Barack Obama may castigate the unwoke Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) for his absence of victimhood. But from which of his three enclaves does Obama do so—the Kalorama mansion, the Martha’s Vineyard estate, or the restricted-access beachfront retreat in Hawaii?

Four, religions also trump race. Hispanic-American Catholics and Middle-Eastern-American Muslims have more in common with so-called white Christians than they do with an atheist, or agnostic woke elite who pushes the lie that the anti-religion Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are a mere charity group.

Muslim-American communities in Michigan do not want children seeing drag queen shows or the pride flag flying with equal status to the American flag. The Catholic Hispanic community of Los Angeles has little tolerance for lurid anti-Christian motifs that preview a Los Angeles Dodgers game.

Five, wokeism is cannibalistic. Even the children of woke architects with perfect SAT scores and 4.0 grade point averages are being rejected on the basis of their race at their coveted Ivy League schools.

The Left is coming for your Rights.

Neither the mansions of Beverly Hills nor estates of Presidio Heights qualify as sanctuaries from violent criminals, who are now exempted by the anointed from legal consequences.

The wokest of Hollywood celebs will soon lose movie roles and be disqualified for film awards on the basis of their race.

Even the most left-wing of movie directors do not want to be ordered by Soviet-style commissars to hire their crews, actors, and writers on the basis of race.

The problem is: it's not OUR guns, it's YOUR sons.

Six, wokeism is a dangerous diversion of American resources.

The United States may have sponsored gender studies programs, flown pride flags, and bragged of George Floyd murals in Kabul. But meanwhile its military suffered the most humiliating defeat in a half-century, as it skedaddled from Afghanistan, leaving behind billions of dollars in deadly arms for terrorists.

Our elite work to ban plentiful natural gas, subsidize transgendered activism abroad, and lecture on sexual identities in the military. China’s elite builds dozens of coal and nuclear plants, and doubles the size of its navy, while preparing to absorb Taiwan.

Americans are rejecting wokeism because they finally are realizing that if they do not, they will not have a civilization left.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 7a on Friday, I went thru my finger stick to check my BSL (Blood Sugar Level) and recorded it on my Diabetes 2 chart, made coffee, took two 50mg Tramadol and a 300mg Gabapentin for various pains, fired-up the Win-7 Pentium HP desktop to let 32 million lines of code load, tuned into the Chris Plante Show" LIVE, 9a-12, had a couple smokes in the hot, open garage, and checked the day's to-do list. I had a haircut at 11:30, and Sherry said she'd stop by after working at daughter Hollies' shop, later in the afternoon. It's always a nice day when I get to see her.

It was a clear blue sky, 78°, no wind or breeze yet this morning, with 87° and "heavy t-storms" forecast for the afternoon. Natch. By 9a, it was direct sun 118° on the back patio, so I abandoned that until later, when it cooled down. The shady garage, with zero breeze, was only at 89°. I left for my 11:30a haircut app't at Salon Down Under 11:15a, and was back by 12:30p. For lunch, I reheated some delicious Steamed Pork Dumplings, Noodles w/ Vegetables and had Häagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream for lunch. Tired, I grabbed a 2hr snooze on the LR couch, and soon, Sherry called to let me know she was stopping by to visit. T-storms hit the York area, giving us 3/8" of appreciated rain. We had a great time, as usual, for 2½ hours, and she left.

Too humid & hot!

After a light dinner, I watched Discovery's "Mine Rescue: With Freddy & Juan" and "Hoffman Family Gold" until 11p, and switched over to Fox' "Gutfeld!" for a short while. Lights out at 12-midnight.

Up at 8a on Saturday, the already-80° weather is just a carbon copy of the past 17 days' weather, and I'm tired of "Summer" here in the MidAtlantic Region. Time for Fall, IMO. But the worst months for heat and humidity -- August and September -- are still ahead. I made coffee, took the usual 3 pain pills, and tuned into some of the week's missed "Chris Stigall Show" podcasts. I scanned the news and weather sites, With no errands needing done until Monday, I decided to stay inside in the AC, wo/ humidity, and get some chores done. Sis stopped by with some containers of homemade vegetable soup she made (is that redundant?), and after a big lunch, I grabbed a 2hr+ snooze on the LR couch.

Covid was the bait. Vaxx was the kill.

After dinner, I did full computer "house cleaning" work with Norton 360 Premium Utilities, watched some TV until 11, and unplugged.

Up at 7:30a on Sunday, it was another carbon copy of the past 3 weeks' weather, except for particularly awful 95% humidity and t-storms forecast for the entire day. Swell. I made coffee, took the pain pills for my lower back and elbow, had some smokes in the garage, fed the squirrels (as I do every morning & afternoon), and mostly stayed inside in the cool, dry AC. It was raining, so the hot garage is my only choice. I need to get a good fan for that dead air space. I ordered an ???oscillating tower fan from Amazon, so I'll see how that does, next week.

While having coffee, I tuned into the "Chris Stigall Show Podcasts", via my iHeart Account, to listen to some of his past morning shows, which I'd missed. I also noticed this on the weather-related websites:

I watched the IndyCar race from Toronto's street road course, from 3-4p. Okay, but those thrown-together courses are not my favorite venues. I like road courses, but the artificial street courses are junk, IMO. No F-1 or IMSA races on this weekend. Darn./p>

Meanwhile, SF sinks further into the toilet, as a 3rd world slum town; good riddance, demonKKKrat-run shithole. Retailers are locking-up food to prevent shoplifting. What a dump it's become since the 1970s, when I visited, lived in Haight-Ashbury for a few months after graduation from Drake University, and moved back to the East Coast.

With today's high at 92°, I often complain bitch, moan, whine and scowl about the heat and humidity here in the Mid-Atlantic Region, but people in the Southwest and West have it many times worse; 115° in Las Vegas and parts of Texas. Yikes. Still, with my COPD, it's bad enough here in PA. I remember 107° as being the worst, 15-20yrs ago, for a day or two.

After dinner, I started to charge my phone, and the "OFF" button wasn't working, and the phone was down to 41%. It's a brick, I think. The phone became useless at 8:15p, and would also require a trip to the local AT&T Store, in the morning. Damn. In addition to all the other errands I'd put-off from last week, due to heat & humidity, I had a major FUBAR (Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition) problem on my hands, to deal with, tomorrow. I unplugged at 11p, after watching some Recap Episodes of early "Gold Rush" seasons (12 total available that I'd missed), that I'd never watched. Good night, Irene.

Awake at 6a, and up at 6:30 on Monday, I had terrible lower back/hip pain, so I headed for the two 50mg Tramadol and one 300mg Gabapentin right away, made coffee, had a couple smokes in the semi-warm garage, but did feel some fresh air come in, right after opening the garage door. I scanned the weather and news sites. 73°, milky-white-smoky-smelling skies, very humid and the forecast was for another 90° day. Just to our east, Flash Floods, from torrential rainfall (12"+) that just missed our area, killed 5+ people, and more is predicted from the draining countryside.

Another train derailment in PA, last night. Why are so many trains having so many problems, in 2023? Here's one answer. I'm not at any "conspiracy theory", yet, but the frequency over previous years, is startling. Same with the Canadian Wildfires' Smoke, making our skies so hazy and milky-white, and giving us a ***Poor Air Quality Warning***, every day, for weeks. Same for food production plants' fires/explosions -- 95 agricultural incidents involving fires and "destroyed" poultry, so far this year -- with officials claiming it's "not unusual" and that you're a "wacko nutcase" if you think otherwise.

I opened my replacement 2014 AT&T Flip Phone, -- yes, it's a "DumbPhone", but that's what I want since I only make & take call on it -- and it was down to 17% battery, so I recharged it, and it now works fine. Not a "brick", anymore, or so it seems.

The day Lunch Bucket Joey Bidet was born, is closer to Abraham Lincoln's 2nd Inauguration, than to his own inauguration. Amazing fact. Think about what that means.

I lounged around, drinking coffee, had breakfast, and finally left at 12:15p, to get some of the list's errands done. The recycle truck arrived -- garbage p/u truck was here at 8a -- and tried to empty my bin, but the large Allen Bros shipping box and styrofoam crate wouldn't empty, so I'm stuck with it, and everything under it, for another week. I'll try again, and if that fails, will have to find a nearby large dumpster to accept it.

Back home by 2p, I had a large lunch and a pint of Häagen Dazs Coffee Ice Cream for lunch. Very tired from that meal, I crashed on the LR couch for almost 3hrs. Later, after a dinner of delicious Steamed Pork Dumplings, Vegetable Noodles and Gen Tsao's Chicken & Rice, I caught the evening news, and watched more Recap Episodes of all 10 "Gold Rush" seasons, until 11:30. Lights out.

Up at 7a on Tuesday, I only had elbow pain -- mercifully the lower back/hip pain was gone -- so I made Fool's House French coffee, had a few smokes in the garage and tuned into the "Chris Stigall Show LIVE", from 6-9a. The garage had no air moving, but the back patio was nice and breezy, until the fleet of lawnmower guys arrived and all I could hear were engines (mowers), motors (weed whackers/edgers, leaf blowers), and dust and lawn debris flying everywhere. Like clockwork on Tuesdays.

"A 'cannibal' coronal mass ejection (I thought only teenaged boys had those...) birthed from multiple solar storms, including a surprise "dark eruption", is currently on a collision course with Earth and could trigger a sizable geomagnetic storm on our planet when it hits on Tuesday (July 18). Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are large, fast-moving clouds of magnetized plasma and solar radiation that occasionally get flung into space alongside solar flares — powerful explosions on the sun's surface that are triggered when horseshoe-shaped loops of plasma located near sunspots snap in half like an over-stretched elastic band. If CMEs smash into Earth, they can cause geomagnetic storms — disturbances in our planet's magnetic field — that can trigger partial radio blackouts and produce vibrant aurora displays much farther away from Earth's magnetic poles than normal. A cannibal CME is created when an initial CME is followed by a second faster one. When the second CME catches up to the first cloud, it engulfs it, creating a single, massive wave of plasma. BFD. BREAKING: Donald Trump says he has been notified that he is a target (again) of the J6 Grand Jury investigation, expects to be indicted and arrested again. Natch, what else is new? The corrupt, weaponized, political US DoInJ will keep that illegal behavior up, until WE AMERICANS DESTROY IT AND RE-CONSTITUTE IT, ACCORDING TO US LAW! It's an illegal, rogue agency, as it is, and needs to be disbanded and re-formed, top-to-bottom! Keep the good, solid field agents; decapitate the corrupt, criminal management.

"Headline: Black, Hispanic New Yorkers Get $1.8B Settlement From NYC for Failing Teaching Aptitude Test." "The aptitude test was deemed racially "biased" because too many white people passed." Seriously? Here's where we are as a Nation: in the shithole dumper, like SF. From New York Post, "Black, Hispanic NYers who failed teacher's test strike $1.8B in NYC settlement": Failing the New York State teachers' exam really paid off -- especially for a Queens man who learned this month he's getting a $2 million windfall over it. Roughly 5,200 black and Hispanic ex-Big Apple teachers and once-aspiring educators are expected to collect more than $1.8 billion in judgments, after the city stopped fighting a nearly three-decade federal discrimination lawsuit that found a certification exam was biased." Read the comments. (((SIGH)))

I left just before 1p, to meet Sherry at the humongous Galleria, and with t-storms forecast for later afternoon, which didn't happen on any weather map I saw. We had a great time together, walking and talking, and she did a little shopping at Boscov's Store, in the mall. After 2hrs -- I lost track of how much we walked -- we came back to my place, and talked until 5:30, when she left. I had dinner, watched "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" series and the spin-off, "Beyond Skinwalker Ranch" until 11:30p. Time for some sleep.

Awake at 7:30a on Wednesday, a cloudy, overcast, 71°, very humid at 85% -- we haven't seen blue sky and sunshine for a while -- and wet from overnight rain. I made coffee, had some smokes in the garage, and scanned the news and weather sites. We're still getting the Canadian Wildfire smoke, as is all of NJ and NY State. It's in the middle and upper cloud layers, and t-storms do nothing to help. After almost 10 weeks of it, I'm hoping it'll end soon, if Canada can get their wildfire mess under control, but their socialist/commie gov't won't. Most likely, it'll go on for months. I can smell the "old campfire" again, while sitting outside, having a smoke.

John Kennedy got a man on the moon. Ted Kennedy couldn’t get a woman across a bridge.

On this day (July 19) in 1969, Mary Jo Kopechne drowned in Sen Ted Kennedy's (D-MA) car after the notorious philandering boozehound drove it off a bridge on Chappaquiddick island.

Around 11a, the skies cleared, and blue sky, with normal clouds -- cirrus, cumulus, nimbus, stratus etc -- appeared for an hour, but the smoke-induced, overcast pall returned. I left for Weis Market, to get a few things, and then stopped at Rite Aid, to p/u some waiting Rxs, on the way home. I unpacked, put stuff away, and got-off easy: $95 in groceries. After the remaining Chinese food for lunch, and a pint of Häagen Dazs Coffee Ice Cream for lunch. Tired from a big lunch, I tried to sleep, but only managed a brief 30min snooze. I had condo chores to do, put off a load of laundry until tomorrow and scanned the news and weather sites, again. The skies opened-up with a major t-storm, replete with house-shaking thunder, lightening and almost 1" of rain, in under an hour. Nice.

After chores, I watched History's "American Pickers" thru the afternoon and evening, until 11p; lights out. Kennedy, the youngest brother of former president John F. Kennedy, fled the scene of the accident, which likely occurred sometime after midnight. He did not report it to police until 10 a.m. the following day. The Democratic scion faced no meaningful consequences for his actions and would go on to serve four more decades in the US Senate until his death in 2009. Good riddance, scumbag, and rot in hell!

Nowhere to go, nothing to do, and no one to do it with.

Awake at 7a on Thursday, I went back to sleep until 8;30. No need to get up so early, especially after 4 beers, last night. I made coffee, took the 3 pain pills, had a couple of smokes in the garage -- back patio is drying-off from last night's rain deluge -- with 85% humidity, ***Unhealthy Air Quality*** and a mere 90°, by 10:30. I had breakfast around 11, re-checked the weather maps and news sites. I've had a difficult time even going outside for a smoke, on the back patio or in the dead air zone garage, so I've cut my smoking by half, over the past 2 weeks. So there's a "positive side" to all this wildfire air pollution, Summer humidity and heat. Sort of.

If you've ever been to the InterNet Archive, you know what a treasure it is. If you've never been there, GO!

The FD-1023 form was released Thursday by Sen. Chuck Grassley -- Bidens allegedly 'coerced' Burisma CEO to pay them millions to help get Ukraine prosecutor fired: FBI form. If this were you or me, we'd already be in a prison cell, awaiting a grand jury indictment, and on our way to 20yrs federal prison time. But not the Bidet Organized Crime Family; the DoInJ and FBI have them "covered".

"The corrupt, criminal US Government is releasing thousands of criminal, illegal, alien invade immigrant children with latent tuberculosis infections into American communities without assurances of treatment. Nearly 2,500 children with latent infections were released into 44 states over the past year, according to a court-ordered report on how the Health and Human Services Department is treating the children. About 126,000 total were released, indicating an infection rate of 1 in 50 criminal, illegal, alien invade immigrant children. [Washingtron Times] That headline and news should scare the living shit out of YOU; it's got me worried! Thanks Biden, you lowlife dirtbag sociopath!

I did a load of laundry, some other minor chores and just stayed inside for the bad air afternoon, had dinner and watched the evening news. I got wrqpped-up in computer work for the next several hours, and quit for the night at 11p. Big storms forecast for this area, early in the morning.

Tomorrow starts a new week, here in thw "Journal", and it's another clear one. Doesn't suck to be me!

Pay Attention.

On July 4, 2023, Jean Worland (jean.worland@roadrunner.com) posted these words from Hal Lindsey:

  • In Matthew 16:2-3, Jesus admonished us to discern the times. That means pay attention to what’s going on. Study and apply God’s word. And pray about everything. Today, we see signs of distress all over the world. We can see in real-time things the Bible long ago told us about. And it’s not pretty. Lawlessness, moral confusion, slander, deception, hedonism, uncontrolled rage, and cruelty fill our sightlines. These things are no longer theoretical events to be analyzed from a distance. They’re happening all around us, and it can be scary.

Jesus told us to watch the signs many times (Matt. 24:42-43; Mark 13:33-37; Luke 21:36; Rev. 3:3), but those that are not watching do not know or do not care.

Pay attention because “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ” (II Cor. 5:10).

The world needs to know what is going on, and it is the responsibility of the Church to speak out.

Here are some events that got my attention in recent days:

One, concerning the decline of America and world government: on July 4, 2023, highly respected World Net Daily (WND) journalist, Bob Unruh, wrote an article about Justin Haskins’ warning that America could lose its independence before the 2024 election.

Haskins is the director of the Socialism Research Center at The Heartland Institute, and his article was posted on a conservative web magazine called the Federalist.

According to Unruh, Haskins said:

  • A proposal to give the UN great power to deal with “emergencies” could cause the U.S. as we know it to cease to exist.
  • During an emergency (a natural disaster, a pandemic, whatever), the UN wants the authority to call an emergency and be given power over most of the world.
  • The UN will be authorized to determine what is an emergency, when it begins, when it ends, and retain power over most of the world for as long as it wants.
  • Instead of defending America’s independence and sovereignty, the Biden administration has already expressed support for this UN power grab.
  • Declaring the end of the U.S. sounds dire, but it will be a fact come Sept. 2024 if people don’t stand up.

Here is a link to the article:

https://www.wnd.com/2023/07/biden-helping-u-n-control-life-u-s-know-cease-exist/

(Note: It is difficult to keep all the meetings, -- UN, WHO, WEF, IMF -- meeting dates, and agendas straight. Haskins wrote about what the UN is trying to do that will destroy the U.S. before the next election. There will be other meetings that could destroy the U.S. The thing to remember about all these groups and meetings is that world leaders are very close to establishing a world government.)

Here are some things I have written about in the past two months:

The World Health Organization (WHO) wants:

  • A Global Code of Conduct.
  • A Global Digital Passport.
  • A Global Digital Currency.
  • A Global Digital Health Record.
  • A Global Digital Health Certification Network (GDHCN).

The World Economic Forum (WEF) wants:

  • Holy Books written by AI.
  • The International Monetary Fund (IMF) wants:
  • A Global Digital Currency and Transaction Data.

The United Nations (UN) wants:

  • A Global Digital ID linked to everyone’s bank account.
  • A seven-year covenant with many to bring in a world government.

Emmanuel Macron wants:

  • A Global Tax.

Unless God intervenes, the world is on the brink of a world government and the Tribulation Period.

People need to pay attention because where we spend eternity could be at stake.

The Church is running out of time to be salt and light.

(Personal note: Many times, I have said, “The day might come when things start happening so fast that it is impossible to keep up with them.” There are times when I think that day has arrived, and only part of what happens gets reported.)

Two, concerning the decline of America and a possible global economic collapse: on July 7, 2023, it was reported that Russia confirmed that the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) intend to start trading in a new currency backed by gold, and the official announcement will be made at the BRICS Summit in August.

Some officials predict that this will cause the value of the Dollar to plunge, cause a major surge in inflation in the U.S., eventually be seen as the beginning of the end of the Dollar, and send America’s superpower status on a downhill slide from which it will never recover.

I am not an economic expert, but it seems to me that there is no way for this to not have a negative impact on the global economy.

(Note: Several other nations are seeking to join the BRICS nations.)

Three, concerning the turmoil in Israel and its impact on Israel’s future: since January of 2023, there have been major riots and demonstrations in Israel over an upcoming vote on a bill to change Israel’s judiciary.

Israel’s top judges are appointed by other judges.

Liberal judges have taken over the judiciary.

They appoint liberal judges to always ensure a liberal majority on the court, and the liberal majority they appoint always votes to keep Israel a secular nation.

There are conservative Jews that want to worship on the Temple Mount, religious Jews that want to go back under the Mosaic Law (the first five books of the Bible, called the Torah or the Pentateuch), Jews that want to rebuild the Temple, resume the animal sacrifices, etc. But even if those conservative and religious Jews get the Israeli Knesset to pass a bill to do these things, the liberal judges can declare the bill illegal and kill it.

That is right; unelected liberal judges can overrule a majority vote of the elected officials, and they have angered many of the elected officials with their liberal votes.

The latest Netanyahu government is conservative.

It has the support of several religious parties.

Netanyahu’s government wants to pass a bill (called the Reasonableness Standard Bill) to take the power to appoint judges away from the liberal judges and empower the government to appoint judges.

In addition to that, if the Israeli Knesset passes a bill (after three readings and three votes) and the unelected judges declare it illegal, the Knesset wants the power to review the Judge’s decision and perhaps vote to overturn it or part of it, etc.

As I understand it, the ongoing riots and demonstrations in Israel are about two things:

  • One, who makes the laws in Israel (the people’s elected representatives in the Knesset or a group of unelected liberal judges).
  • Two, what kind of nation will Israel be in the future, a secular nation or a religious nation?

According to the Bible, Israel will go back under the Mosaic Law (the laws that God gave to Moses), they will rebuild the Temple, and they will resume the animal sacrifices.

(Note: Some orthodox Jews believe the Messiah will give them permission to rebuild the Temple. Based on John 5:43, some prophecy teachers believe the Jews will accept the Antichrist as the Messiah. They believe the covenant that is confirmed (strengthened) by the Antichrist will give the Jews permission to rebuild the Temple, and it will be rebuilt very early in the Tribulation Period. That will be after the Rapture, and Israel may be taking a turn in that direction now.)

Are you paying attention?

In addition to the riots and demonstrations being about whether Israel will be a secular nation or a religious nation in the future, here are two more events that I have written about in recent weeks.

  • The Jews may soon have the ashes of a red heifer that will permit them to rebuild the Temple.
  • A member of Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party has submitted a bill to divide the Temple Mount between Muslims and Jews so the Temple can be rebuilt.

The effort to rebuild the Temple appears to be slowly advancing.

(Update: On July 11, 2023, the Reasonableness Standard Bill passed in the Knesset by a vote of 64 to 56. If it passes a second and then a third vote, hopefully before the end of this month, it will become law in Israel. In that case, Israel will soon become more religious and less secular.)

Four, concerning persecution and the coming one-world religion: on July 10, 2023, the New American posted an article that said a UN-authorized report urges “governments to threaten and punish religious leaders and organizations that don’t go along with the LGBTQ orthodoxy.”

Right now, this appears to be just a recommendation, but the Bible teaches that extreme persecution and death await those that do not follow the anti-Christian globalist agenda during the Tribulation Period.

The U.S. pays 22% of the UN budget.

(More: A different article said the UN report condemns the anti-gay interpretation of Judeo-Christian scriptures, it celebrates religious groups that promote gay and transgender values, it says medical workers and institutions should be forced to perform abortions, transgender treatments, surgeries, etc.).

(My opinion: The LGBTQ agenda should not be considered superior to religious beliefs. Freedom of religion will not exist when people are forced to abandon the Scriptures and go along with the LGBTQ agenda. Authorizing the UN to tell people what they can and cannot believe in the Bible, Koran, on any other book is the same as establishing a new global religion. Forcing healthcare workers to perform abortions and mutilate the bodies of children is satanic.)

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

The Killing of Common Sense.

Covid was a killer. The evidence is clear. SARS-CoV-2 was a scientifically devised virus designed to kill. Its victims were many. The science in question here, though, is social science. And the intended victim was common sense.

Covid expanded our daily vocabulary. “Distancing,” “tracking,” and “masking” –- above the nose –- all became common parlance. As did “lockdown,” one of the most ominous additions to our vernacular. Its meaning was both clear and unreal at once. You could stroll on the sidewalk but not in the park. Because of Covid. You could shop at box stores but not at small businesses. Because of Covid. You could congregate to protest structural opinions, but not to worship, even outside isolated in cars. Because of Covid.

Criticizing the Covid experts is not novel. It’s been an ongoing endeavor. It should and must continue. The effort to expose the devastation wrought by the entwined industries of media, government, and pharmaceuticals must not fade or lose steam. The health of our society and its people is at stake. The criticism, though, must be purposed. For there’s a deeper issue at play than just the deceptions, lies, and idiocies of this generation of apparatchiks.

That issue concerns status in our society, what counts as status and why. The credentialed and titled used “public health” during Covid to try to kill common sense. Their approach was less about science than social science. It had less to do with health than self-elevation – not just in wealth and power but in moral understanding and being.

The credentialed elevated their sense of themselves and their status by trying to make the rest of us feel small, by reducing each of our innate abilities to reason, read, and reflect to the level of a menacing danger. How dare you do your own research! Thinking and decision-making are not your specialty. You don’t have degrees in that subject.

But these social-science issues of moral status and common sense are not just about Covid. The battle between our systems of credentialing, governing, and medicating on the one hand, and the innate ability to read, reason, and reflect on the other, predate 2020. Covid, in this sense, was an attempted kill shot. It was an attempt to end the battle once and for all, on the side of the financially bloated systems of credentialing and their self-serving relationships with governing agencies and corporate America.

So many Covid policies were irrational so as to be out of the reach of common sense. The policies’ authors thereby denied the moral standing of common citizens in the public arena before debate even began. Self-governance wasn’t possible here. You don’t have a federal research grant for that.

Consider how the battle over status which manifested during Covid had been evident before 2020. Consider, for example, Tucker Carlson. Carlson is less a political commentator than a cultural critic. He is part comedian in the best sense of that term –- using humor to mock the pretenses and self-preening of public figures who make themselves worthy of mockery. When set free to address a live audience of thousands, his scathing humor approaches the manic. A glimmer of the late Robin Williams shines through, in proportion to the maniacal policies of the governing class.

All of this is to one notable effect – the affirmation of common sense. Carlson acquired an eight o’clock time slot on television in November 2016. His broadcasts from then on were a prime-time series in the credentialing of common reasoning. If it smells bad, it probably is. Use your noggins, ladies and gentlemen!

Carlson elevated ordinary people by affirming their non-post doc understanding of events. He confirmed their moral standing in the public square. He posited their common-sense cognition as a more reasonable guide to social life than the constant reimagining of things occurring among the upper-echeloned.

November 2016 also marked the election of Donald Trump. Trump did in the political arena what Carlson did in the cultural arena, though in raw, unrefined form. This is not advocacy or endorsement. Far from it. It’s an attempt to step back from those beclouding lenses to understand the cultural and political landscape as clearly as possible. Trump ascended in 2015 and ’16 by hammering two themes. One was that countries have borders. The other, in his words, was that “We are led by stupid people.”

Both themes elevated ordinary men and women. Both affirmed the moral standing of common sense in public affairs. If it seems from a non-credentialed perspective that countries actually have respected borders, then perhaps they really do. And if it seems that the people with titles, microphones, and big paychecks are not as smart as they purport to be, then perhaps they really are not.

Both of these themes had the opposite effect of what later Covid policy would do. Both made ordinary people feel big, not small. Both raised, not lowered, common sense as a measure of politics. Graduate degrees were not prerequisites to participate in “national conversations.”

The irony, or tragedy, or failure – pick your term – was that the Covid kill shot also began under Trump. Covid irrationality undermined common sense, belittled it, and prepared to drive it from the public square. Covid policy was the attempted kill shot, even before the surge of pharmaceutical stock.

Trump’s role in undermining the moral status of common sense included serious misjudgments. Ceding far too much power to task forces and bureaucracies was among them. As was blowing up the federal budget. And obviously pimping the injections.

We’re now left trying to build on what was bubbling up in our culture and politics before Covid. We might consider this task the building of a counterculture of affirmation. Not the “affirmation” of more pharmacology. That is but another form of dehumanization, aimed to reduce and belittle us still further, especially our status as parents in the protection of our children.

Our task is to build a counter to that dehumanization. That means affirming the moral status of the common capacity to reason and to speak –- to consent –- as the centerpiece of our social life, the foundation of our republic.

Equal moral status derives from our shared human nature. Humans are by nature a being which reasons. We are born with the natural capacity for reasoning. It is built into our nature. We are also by nature a being which speaks, born with the natural capacity for language, and thus the sharing of our reasoning with each other.

These natural capacities for reasoning and speech mean that politics should be based on persuasion, not censorship, and that government should be based on consent, not coercion. That’s why the Declaration of Independence follows its assertion of the unalienable rights of the individual with its description of governments as deriving “their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

Who, then, in our culture affirms the equal moral status of our shared human capacities? Who in our politics cultivates this most genuine sense of equality? Who seeks to spread and deepen its influence in our society – our laws, institutions, and norms? Who seeks to nurture awareness of this natural and moral equality in the consciousness of the people, so that it is familiar to all, revered by all, constantly looked to and constantly labored for, to borrow from a former president? That awareness, reverence, labor is the essential foundation of a self-governing republic. Without it, politics is mere perversion.

So what’s before us is not just a matter of good policies or ideas. And it’s not just a matter of possessing the skills of effective governance, as necessary as all those are. It’s a matter of elevating the status of our common human capacities for reasoning and speech in our public life.

For make no mistake, the age of equity seeks to destroy our equal moral status. It seeks to deny our common humanity and its common capacities. That denial has a history and a name. It’s called nihilism. It rests on the assertion of pure will. That’s why so many of our political, cultural, and corporate leaders seek to belittle and reduce us through their sophistic conceptions of health and social science. It’s simply a matter of will, to deny our standing; to coerce our submission; to diminish our sense of ourselves.

Ultimately, the Covid kill shot failed to achieve its objective. As did the mRNA. Though both did big damage. That’s settled science. The task before us now is one of building the counterculture of equal moral status in the face of the sophistry which will most surely continue.
