gun confiscation v simple hand-over

friday, october 5th, 2018

i see and hear a lot of talk about how a national gun registration and/or confiscation would be the trigger that would spark a second American Revolution, as patriots rise up to resist the Jackbooted thugs who are going door-to-door taking away people's arms.

I have bad news for everyone who's waiting for national registration or a mass confiscation so they can get their armed rebellion on: a national database of gun owners already exists, and a national confiscation effort will never happen. Ever. Instead, you'll hand over your firearms peacefully. All of them, even the ones you paid cash for to some random guy on Armslist in the dead of night.

Here's a look at how it will play out in our not-too-distant future.

The NSA Knows Who You Are and What You Have.

Second Amendment supporters have been so focused on this one little corner of the Bill of Rights that they've let the Fourth Amendment, which is supposed to protect citizens against unreasonable search and seizure, turn into dead letter.

The surveillance state that got started under Clinton picked up steam under Bush II, and Obama has expanded it even further. The NSA is tracking everyone, all the time, and they're hooked into Facebook, Google, Amazon, and every other piece of web-based software that you've been using to shop for accessories for that AR you paid cash for (which your wife doesn't even know you have).

If you don't believe me, go read this article about just how much detailed info one private company, Facebook, has on you, including your web surfing, shopping, and even your driving and walking habits. Now think about the fact that the NSA is even less constrained by the law (and has way more resources) than Facebook and has access not only to Facebook’s detailed profile of you but to profiles created by many other sources, from your credit card company to your health insurance provider.

Oh sure, you may have gotten your hands on a few guns that would be impossible to trace, even by the NSA. Maybe you inherited a long gun from your grandpa, or maybe you met a guy in a gun show parking lot and paid cash and then never Googled anything related to that gun. So here's a question for you: how many people like you exist, and how many of those type guns are suitable for urban combat against AR-15s with state-of-the-art optics? I know which of my guns are probably totally “in the black,” and I can't imagine trying to mount an insurgency with any or all of them.

The fact is, most guys who have the kind of hardware suitable for a Civil War 2.0 have been shopping on Gunbroker or Armslist, and/or have filled out FFL paperwork like law-abiding citizens. I seriously doubt there's enough firepower totally hidden from the NSA to sustain any kind of real rebellion.

So the registration ship has sailed. They know what you have and where to find you. Now, here's how they're going to get you to turn it over without a fight.

Hitting You Where It Hurts.

When the government outlaws semi-automatic firearms, they won't send cops or troops door-to-door to take them. No, first they'll send out letters saying they know what you have, and that you have to turn it over by a given deadline or face a penalty.

It'll be up to you to prove that you're clean, and that you've handed over everything. They'll have a list, and if they think you're still holding, they'll hit you with asset freezes.

Imagine not being able to get any money out of your bank account or from your credit cards, because your assets are frozen. The federal and state governments already do this if you owe back taxes–a simple letter to your bank, and all of your cards stop working. (Here's an account from one of our editors of how this actually happened to him.) The bank doesn't care about you, and they don't have the interest or resources to find out if the government’s claim against you is bogus. No, they'll just freeze your assets until you get things sorted with the government and the government tells them to unfreeze it all.

The other thing they'll do is take your children.

Do you think Child Protective Services is going to let your children live in a house with potentially dangerous firearms? No way. Your kids will get picked up at school and taken into custody, and a social worker will show up at your door with the cops. Only when a thorough search has been conducted and the authorities are completely satisfied that your property is 100% gun-free will they let you see your little ones again. After all, we have to protect the children.

You're not going to shoot at those cops, either, because then your kids will just end up in the foster system as wards of the state.

Not Nearly Enough for a Revolution.

Oh, I'm sure there are folks reading this who are so off-grid that none of the above can touch them. Their guns are totally invisible to the NSA, their assets are all in the form of cash and physically held precious metals, and their kids are home-schooled on a well-guarded ranch.

But is that blessed group big enough to overthrow a determined US government? No, it ain't.

The measures outlined above–a de facto gun registration database courtesy of the NSA and its private-sector allies, asset freezes for non-compliance, and the threat of CPS visits that hold your children hostage–will be sufficient to take well over 90% of the lawfully held guns out of civilian hands, all without firing a single shot.

The bitter truth is this: there will be no confiscation shock troops for you and your buddies to shoot back at, and we will discover too late that the rights-defenders’ fantasy–of-one, crystal-clear moment when its time for everyone to rise up as one and take it all back–has been the establishments biggest ally and freedom’s deadliest enemy.

Why do you think they've let you have guns for this long? Because those guns have given you a false sense of security and kept you from doing something truly dangerous, like mass-organizing to pull all your money out of the big banks and to vote out the incumbents.

So if you've sat idly by, fondling your firearms and watching the surveillance state expand while your paycheck shrinks, relying on your gun stash to bail you out when things hit bottom, then the joke’s on you. You've already lost the war, and when you hand over your weapons it'll be the last (and mostly symbolic) step in a process of total subjugation that slipped up and swallowed you while you were distracted with building your gun collection.

You may hate me and everything I’ve said here, but deep down, you know I'm right.

A Day In The Life.

I spent Saturday getting a rental car, and helping Becky and Karen clean and organize the condo's downstairs, now that it's 95% done by the sub-contractors. The real mess is going to be upstairs, where the carpeting is all being replaced and there's a huge amount of furniture to work with and around. Kitchen counters and sinks also get replaced, as all bathrooms have had done.

I got up at 3:30a on Sunday to watch the 5:00a Qualifying F-1 VTB Russian Grand Prix, From Sochi Autodrom in Sochi, Russia, and then the actual race at 7:00a. IndyCar season was over last week, and I missed the final race, dammit. But NASCAR goes into November at the southern tracks, so I'll watch some of that racing. I roasted 56lbs of peeled garlic cloves, and divided them up between Becky, Karen, Stacey and myself. Still have a few pounds left in the 'fridge to do, in the oven. Becky and Karen worked all day with me (doing what I physically could) to get the place cleaned-up and reorganized. It'll all going to hell again when they rip out the upstairs carpeting, vacuum and install the new carpet. Same for when rip-off the old kitchen counter top and install the new one and new dbl-sink. Chaos. Not looking forward to re-cleaning everything again. I watched parts of the NASCAR race from Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, fell asleep for the finish, and left for Dad's old condo (now sold) around 6p, and was asleep by 8p.

Up at 4:30a on Monday, I made coffee, had a smoke outside and left in the rental car for my condo. At 49°F, it was colder than usual, and I was bundled-up in a wool shirt-jack and barn coat, over 2 other layers. The assholes at Pritz Auto Body Co still don't have my Jeep ready, after 2+ weeks, so I'm stuck with this Hyundai rental POS.

No, I'm not following the Kavanaugh Hearings; it's going to get a lot worse that anyone can imagine. Total bullshit. He's a big boy and can take of himself, with Trump's help. Yet the Minneapolis Police won't look into the rape claims against the racist nigger muslim lowlife dirtbag, http://www.startribune.com/dfl-asks-minneapolis-police-to-investigate-ellison-allegation/495053331/Keith Ellison

. He's a racist scumbag rapist; deport the sambo. Go figure.

The US Constitution was written by Men of Honor, for Men of Honor. And we don't have that anymore in the US Congress. So the US Constitution's now mostly a moot item, I believe, and will soon not be the Law of The Land, anymore.

Sherry called and stopped by to see what was happening. Becky, she and I had a good time reminiscing and talking about lots of stuff. The painters finished-up around 4:30p, and will be back to rip-up the upstairs carpeting tomorrow morning at 7:30a. They're doing Essis Flooring's job, and will be financially compensated for it. Essis will get financially penalized for it. Trust me. I left around 6:30p, after finishing-up some paperwork and paying bills online.

Is the Stock Market about to crash, even worse than the last several ones? Possibly. I know it's headed for a "correction and re-evaluation", and some people call that a "crash". WTF really knows?

Here's some advice from Norton, which I've used since 1995, to avoid all kinds of online scams. Worth a read.

Up at 4a on Tuesday, I had oatmeal and coffee, stopped at Rutter's Convenience Store to get some Marlboros, Starbuck's DoubleShot Coffee Energy Drinks and Jell-O, and arrived at the condo by 5:15a, in the dark, again. At 65°F, it was a warm morning. I had an 8:50a dr's app't with my PCP (Primary Care Physician) and a 2p app't at Wells-Fargo Bank, where I'm moving all my financial assets, IRAs and investments. The dr's app't didn't go well at all. I need to look for a new PCP, after 26yrs. He won't write the Rxs I need, anymore. Instead, he gives me Buspirone HCl 10 mg Tablet.

I stopped at a local sub shop, and got Becky and myself some dinner, and after taking my regimen of Rx pills, was in bed and asleep by 9p.

I got up at 3:30a on Wednesday, had coffee and oatmeal, did some laundry, and left for my condo, stopping at a Rutter's Store along the way to get more coffee and Marlboros. No workers were scheduled, so I had a free day to do some office cleaning and re-arranging, get a load of paperwork and bills done, and go to a 2p meeting at Wells-Fargo Bank in West York, where all my assets and investments are now transferred. By 7p, I was tired, went back to Dad's now-sold condo, had dinner w/ Becky, and crashed at 8p. Slept like a baby, finally.

Back up at 4a on Thursday, I stopped at a Rutter's, as I do every morning to get a medium cup of coffee to take with me, after having had 2 large mugs of my African/Columbian Special Blend coffee, before I left the condo. The one place is right-off I-83, a huge truck stop and the drivers are asleep, trucks neatly lined-up and running. I enjoy getting to my condo, working in my brand-new, pristine office before all the workers descend d upon the place, with all their noise, dirt and filth.

My 2 cleaning ladies, JoAnn & Karen, arrived at 7a, and cleaned the downstairs, helped my with carrying stuff from the basement, got the kitchen ready new counters and dbl-sink, scheduled to be installed tomorrow. The 2 flooring/carpet guys arrived at 8:45a and I gave them a "problem list" for the vinyl plank flooring they'd installed last week, and the started unloading the carpet for the upstairs, and the master bath/mud room/dressing room's new white vinyl plank tile flooring. I left at 9:30a, for my 10a meeting.

No, I don't do deadly selfies with my POS 2013 Samsung flip-phone. So I won't die that way.

The carpet/flooring people left at 3p, after getting 55-60% of their job done. They'll be back tomorrow and Monday to finish-up. Tomorrow, a new kitchen counter and dbl-sink come in, and I'll bring-in 2 guys on Saturday to move most of the furniture back into the 2 bedrooms. Essis Carpet screwed-up again with the 2 installers, giving them the wrong size of carpet for one section of stairs. The "owner", Ed, just can't seem to get anything right. He's an idiot. I'm going to skip dinner and go to sleep early tonite. I have a 10:45a Dr's app't tomorrow, so all of the subcontractors can work while I'm away.

Another week starts tomorrow here in the "Journal", and I hope it'll be better that the past 4-5 have been. At least I have my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee back. That's something!

Fake Liberal Media BS

The most insidious power of the corrupt, criminal liberal media, is the power to ignore the truth.

Here, have some fun. Something stinks within America's newsrooms. It's the stench of liberal bias permeating the so-called mainstream media. From lies and deceit to distortions and character assassinations, the liberal media dish out leftist BS to drive their radical agenda.

Chris Plante, host of The Chris Plante Show on WMAL (DC) from 9-12, weekdays, said, "The most insidious power the media has, if the power to ignore." Think about what that really means and you can readily see what an evil force the corrupt, criminal, liberal-demokkkRAT-controlled, butt-kissing, fawning circlefest media assholes, are.

Think you can detect it? Read just some of this crap and find out just how much BS the liberal media are dishing out. Wear your hip-waders; the bullshit is deep!
