With Labor day being the "official end of Summer", gas prices are still at $1.36.9/gal (89 octane) in the York (PA) area, and I'm having to train myself to switch to the 87 octane grade, since I'm driving the 6cyl/200hp Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, now. The 87 octane is at $1.31.9/gal and the 4.2L six cylinder just doesn't need the extra octane; it's specifically engineered to run on the cheaper 87 grade. Soon, refineries will be switching over to home heating fuel, for the coming Winter. It'll be interesting to see what happens to gas prices throughout the region, once again.
