I've been getting into work at around 7am, prepping myself for when we go off Winter Hours, and onto Spring-Summer-Fall Hours, and I have to be there by 6am. Temps are up in the 70s daytime, and in the upper-40s at night. Plants are responding, but we're bone dry here and there's no appreciable rain the the 30-day forecast. Grim.
Although we were on Winter hours, last weekend, it was fairly busy. I changed over to Spring-Summer-Fall hours on Monday, and this weekend portends to be very busy. With temps in the 60s and 70s, and plants beginning to bloom, people have gotten "the gardening itch". I'm getting over a dozen calls per day for landscape design and installation, maintenance and various related projects. We can handle all that they can throw at us. No sweat.

Kerosene (K2 heating oil) has also risen to $2.89/ gal. I predict we'll see $3.25-plus gas by mid-Summer. The GC&N Complex is coming together, quite nicely, thankyouverymuch. The all-new, 1-acre Stone Display Yard will be done in time for the 16th Open House, on Saturday, April 22nd. We've had 11 tractor trailers in so far, unloading growers' nursery stock and perennials, and another 13 growers' are scheduled to deliver, within the next 10 days.
